Y/N RUSHED OUT OF HER ROOM,
only to see her mom, dad and sister standing at the main door and wearing their footwear "Where are you guys going?" She asked with panic and her dad shrugged "To walk... you know it's our time for the daily walk. You can spend some time with Sae." He stated. "Yeah, spend time with him." Her sister said slyly and winked at her as she rushed both her parents out of the house and shut the door behind her leaving Y/N in complete silence.
She turned back and faced Sae, who was standing by the doorway, a sheepish smile on his face.
"Well, it seems like we have the house to ourselves," Sae said, his voice filled with a hint of amusement. He had his hands in his pockets as he walked closer to her, making her nervous with each step but as wild as her thoughts ran... Sae didn't do anything and just engulfed her in a hug.
She could feel his embrace, strong and comforting, and it eased the nervousness that had been building up inside her.
She relaxed into the hug, wrapping her arms around Sae as well. The silence between them spoke volumes, filled with unspoken emotions and the electricity of their connection. "You are so pretty..." He said making her look at him and raise an eyebrow "Where did that come from?"
He touched the hair stands that were on her face and put them aside while still holding her close with his other hand and smiled "I wanted to say that for a really long time." His genuine admiration warmed her heart, and she couldn't help but smile back at him.
"Thank you," she replied softly, and Sae pecked her lips "I really really really like you"
"Me too!!" She chuckled and he pecked her lips again. The second peck on the lips filled the air with a sense of playfulness and affection. Y/N's laughter mingled with the warmth of the moment, creating a light-hearted atmosphere between them. Both of them were glad that they opened up to each other because if they didn't, they would've never started their relationship with each other.
For the next two there was a training camp organised and Sae only goes there to practice alone or watch the U-20 with judgeful eyes. Y/N would sometimes show up at the training camp and assist him with his training.
And it was just another day and she faced the person she was trying her best to avoid. Aiko... he was standing right in front of her, in an empty hallway and since they had already made eye contact, it was impossible to ignore him any further.
"Uh, hi, Y/N," He said.
Y/N put on a smile and replied "Hi."
The air between them was very awkward. Y/N tried her best to maintain a polite demeanour despite the palpable awkwardness. Aiko seemed hesitant, shifting his weight from one foot to another, searching for words.
"Um, so.... how are you doing these days?" Aiko finally spoke up.
"I'm doing fine, thank you," Y/N replied. "I need to get going, Sae's waiting..."
Aiko's expression showed a mix of disappointment and understanding but curiosity soon took over him as he saw Y/N walking past him. "You guys are dating or something?" He managed to ask and she stopped on her track, looking back at him. While she had just started a relationship with Sae, she wasn't sure if she should divulge all the details to Aiko, especially given their complicated history. However, she also didn't want to hide the truth.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Y/N decided to be honest. "Yes, Aiko, Sae and I are dating," she replied, her voice steady.
Aiko's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he processed the information. There was a mix of surprise, resignation, and perhaps a hint of regret in his expression. "I see... Well, I'm glad you found someone who makes you happy," he said, his tone bittersweet.
"I mean yeah... I am really happy with him. Well, if that's all then I should get going."
"I am sorry about what I did... Because of me, you lost that match." He said. "It was really important for you... and I fucked it up."
Well, Y/N didn't really have any hard feelings for him when he cheated on her and got caught because the relationship was only a few weeks long and they even started dating pretty quickly after having met so there weren't any strong feelings inside either of them... it was just them being childish and giving dating a try but catching him cheating and losing the match coincidently happened to be on the same day.
She does resent him for cheating on her and that was the reason she never told him the real reason behind losing the match. "It's fine. It's in the past now."
"Definitely didn't twist my ankle." She thought.
"I appreciate your apology, Aiko," Y/N replied, her voice composed. "It was just one match." Y/N tried her best to maintain her composure despite the awkward conversation with Aiko. She didn't want to dwell on the past, especially considering her current relationship with Sae, which brought her happiness. Yet, Aiko's repeated apologies were starting to test her patience.
"It's okay, really. No need to keep apologizing," Y/N said, attempting to end the conversation politely. She turned to leave once again, but Aiko persisted.
"I just... I feel bad about everything that happened. I wish I could go back and change things," Aiko said with a somber expression.
Y/N paused for a moment, feeling a mix of empathy and annoyance. She understood that he might be genuinely remorseful, but she also didn't want to dwell on the past any longer. "Aiko, it's been a while, and we've both moved on. Let's just focus on the present, okay?" She offered a reassuring smile.
Aiko nodded, seemingly accepting her response. "You're right. I hope you have a great time with Sae."
"Thank you," Y/N replied, relieved that he seemed to understand. "Take care, Aiko."
As she walked away, Y/N couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. It was evident that Aiko still carried some regrets from their past, and while she didn't hold any grudges, she also didn't want to rekindle any old feelings or memories. She was committed to her relationship with Sae and wanted to focus on building a future with him.
And just as she was about to take a turn in the hallway, she bumped into none other than Sae. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him as he stayed leaning against the wall. "So~ how was your meeting with your ex?" He asked making her sigh "You were eavesdropping on me?"
"Of course, I had to. The conversation was interesting. You didn't tell me you dated him."
"Well, it was a long time ago, and it wasn't anything serious," she admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed about the past. "We dated for a few weeks, that's it. But I promise, you're the only one that matters to me now."
Sae grinned, leaning in to kiss her softly. "I know, and that's why I'm not worried about it. I trust you completely."
"Thank you for being understanding," Y/N said, feeling grateful for Sae's trust and support.
"Always," he replied, his gaze filled with affection. "Besides, I'm the lucky one who gets to be with you now." He gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
Y/N smiled, her heart warmed by his sweet words. "I'm lucky too," she whispered, leaning in for another tender kiss.
---
"I HATE YOU SO MUCH SAE!" Y/N managed to shout out as she caught her breath after running all around the field in order to take the football from Sae who wasn't going easy on her with his dribbling skills.
"Oh come on! You can do it!"
"No! Just give me the ball" she cried out and dropped down on her knees.
Sae chuckled and passed the football to her feet. "Alright, alright. Take a breather," he said, grinning. "You did well, though. You almost had me a couple of times!"
Y/N pouted playfully as she caught her breath. "Almost doesn't count. You're just too good!"
Sae sat down next to her, handing her a water bottle but Y/N had other plans, she took this as an opportunity and dribbled the ball away with her poor skills "Are you challenging me?" Sae asked as he saw her running away with the ball.
Y/N giggled mischievously, darting around the field with the football, trying to keep it away from Sae. "Maybe I am," she teased, her competitive spirit coming alive.
Sae chuckled, getting up and joining in the chase. "Alright then, let's see what you've got!" he called out, giving her a playful grin.
The two of them ran around the field, laughing and shouting, as Y/N did her best to keep the ball away from Sae. Despite her limited skills, she was surprisingly nimble and managed to dodge him a few times, much to his amusement.
"You're pretty fast!" Sae exclaimed, trying to catch up to her.
"And you're pretty slow!" Y/N shot back, sticking her tongue out playfully.
Sae feigned a hurt expression, which only made Y/N laugh even more. They continued their playful banter and chasing game, completely forgetting about the world around them, lost in the joy of the moment.
Finally, after a few minutes of running around, Sae managed to get close enough and skillfully stole the ball from Y/N. He dribbled it for a bit, showing off his skills, and stopped at a point waiting for her to catch up but even when she started running towards him, he stayed at his stop, motionless, waiting for her.
And once she was close enough he engulfed her in a hug. Y/N couldn't help but laugh as Sae caught her in a hug, the football momentarily forgotten. "You cheater!" she playfully scolded, wrapping her arms around him.
Sae grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I had to use my secret move," he said, giving her a quick wink.
"Secret move, my foot," Y/N retorted, but her smile betrayed her amusement. "You just wanted to hug me, didn't you?"
"Guilty as charged," Sae replied, chuckling. "Can you blame me, though? You're too adorable to resist."
As Y/N and Sae were lost in their playful moment, they didn't notice Aiko standing by the benches, quietly observing them. Aiku's expression was a mix of emotions as he watched them laugh and embrace each other. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness and regret. "Good for them..." he mumbled and walked away, knowing that he was the one who messed up to being with so there wasn't anything he could do.
Hope you enjoyed it <33
