Toothless and (D/N) soar across the vast ocean, side-by-side. The water parts slightly due to their intense speed.

(D/N) lowers his foot into the water, rumbling a laugh at the cool sensation against his paw, he flexes his claw, his metal prosthetic clinking against the water.

Hiccup smiles under his face mask, glancing over at (Y/N) from the corner of his eye with a chuckle as she leans down, splashing water at him.

Her hair flies into her eyes, a large grin on her face as she breaths deep, enjoying the feeling.

Toothless roars over at (D/N), who nods as he flies upwards before diving down, spinning around one of the water dragons as (Y/N) and Hiccup flatten themselves to not get smacked by the wing.

Hiccup quickly sits up on Toothless, hooking his prosthetic foot into place and switching the gears as Toothless spirals, flying under one of the water dragon's wings as he laughs and cheers.

The two dragons fly up, Toothless happily roaring while (D/N) simply smiles a toothy grin.

Let the wind carry us to the clouds, hurry up, all right!

Toothless leads (D/N) through the clouds,
(D/N) slightly above him as they dive through the clouds.

We can travel so far, as our eyes can see!

(Y/N) reaches down and pets (D/N)'s neck, her gaze lingering on her prosthetic thumb and ring finger. The Howl rumbles softly, (Y/N) softly chuckling as she straightens up.

She takes in a deep breath and raises her arms, pulling them up and straightening them.

She closes her eyes, parting her lips slightly as she sucks in a breath before releasing a loud yell, her voice echoing out into the clouds.

Hiccup looks to her, his eyes squinting as he smiles at his girlfriend. Toothless' and (D/N)'s ears flicker at the sound, both dragons roaring and copying the girl.

(Y/N)'s voice slowly fades away as she lowers her arms, breathing in deep before opening her eyes.

She turns to Hiccup and smiles at him, the boy reciprocating the action before they face forward.

We go where no one goes..

Toothless and (D/N) spiral up in sync, (Y/N) closing her eyes to ease her dizziness as they come to a halt.

We slow for no one

She opens her eyes, (D/N) and Toothless roaring and beginning to fall backwards.

Hiccup looks back towards the ground before looking towards (Y/N) with a light laugh as her hair flies in her face, causing her nose to scrunch up and sneeze.

Get out of our way!

Toothless straightens up, gently spinning as (D/N) closely watches the Timberjacks flying overhead, rumbling and alerting Toothless, who nods in response.

Hiccup stretches out his arms, breathing in deeply as he imagines himself flying.

(Y/N) looks up at the Timberjacks and smiles, their large wings blocking some of the sun from reaching her.

Hiccup hums in thought, pulling his handles into the saddle.

"So what do you think?" His muffled voice came from the mask. "You wanna give this another shot?"

Toothless instantly perks up with a grumble, his face pulling down in annoyance.

"You sure about this stick?" (Y/N) speaks up, Hiccup snickering at the mention of his childhood nickname.

He whines, throwing his head back with a grunt. "Come on love! It'll be fun, won't it,
(D/N)?"

Said dragon snorts in amusement, making Toothless rumble a laugh as (Y/N) raises a brow at Hiccup.

"See?"

Hiccup waves his hand, "Trust me. It'll be fine!"

"If you get hurt.." (Y/N) mumbles, rolling her eyes with a scoff as he begins to unstrap himself from the saddle.

"Don't expect me to save you this time.."

"Ready?" Hiccup questions, making Toothless rumble with a head shake.

He rolls his shoulders before sliding off the side of Toothless, (Y/N) snickering as he laughs while falling.

Toothless quickly dives after him, (D/N) snorting and doing the same. "Yeah!" Hiccup cheers, Toothless spiraling around him like he would with (D/N).

(D/N) was off to the side, watching closely as (Y/N) paid attention to the rapidly approaching ocean.

"..steady!" She calls, Hiccup laughing as he winks to her.

"Yeah!" He laughs again, grinning at
Toothless offers a gummy smile. 

The two stop spiraling, Hiccup hooking his thumbs in his gears and quickly opening his wingsuit at the same time Toothless opens his wings.

(D/N) copies, grunting lightly from the unexpected force as (Y/N) straightens up and watch Hiccup soar with Toothless.

Hiccup opens his back-fin, flying with Toothless before gliding back towards (Y/N), grinning at her even though she couldn't see it.

"See?" He muses, looking over at her and waving. "I'm fine!"

(Y/N) looks to him, her face avoided of any emotion. "Riiiight.." she drawls out, (D/N) rumbling as he glances to Hiccup.

"(Y/N), I'm fine!" The boy laughs, gliding ahead of Toothless and looking back at him.

Toothless' ears perk up as he rumbles softly, closely watching Hiccup as he yells while soaring through the clouds.

(D/N) chitters to Toothless before he blasts a fireball under Hiccup, making him yelp in surprise as the heat lifts him up higher.

Toothless does the same, Hiccup now laughing and whooping as (Y/N) shakes her head at him, a smile on her face.

"This is amazing!"

(D/N)'s ears flicker as he squints past the clouds, just barely making out the faint outline of the stone pillars.

"No longer amazing!"

"Toothless!!" (Y/N) yells, her eyes wide.
(D/N) swiftly flies overhead and blasts the pillars as Toothless shrieks, struggling to get to Hiccup with his tail-fin.

"Oh, no!" Hiccup yells, Toothless reaching him and shielding his body from (D/N)'s blast.
Toothless crashes through some trees, rolling down a small hill and landing roughly on his side.

(Y/N) winces, both her and (D/N) flinching as they watch the dragon slowly crash into the ground with a loud thud.

...

Toothless groans softly, opening his wings and revealing Hiccup. He sits up, panting lightly as he switches his prosthetic foot to a normal stub.

"That really came out of nowhere," Hiccup breathes out, rising to his feet and tucking his wingsuit away. They jump and look over as the stone pillar collapse, wincing as it crashes into the ocean.

(Y/N) looks over at Hiccup as he nervously laughs, continuing to tuck his suit away.
"We have got to work on your solo gliding there, bud."

Toothless' ears fall back as he looks over at the girl, both making eye contact with the same annoyed look as (D/N) mocks Hiccup wordlessly.

"That locked up tail makes for some pretty sloppy rescue maneuvers, aye?" Hiccup continues as (Y/N) sets a hand in her hip as he watches him glance to the edge of the cliff.

Hiccup removes his helmet, sighing softly and running a hand through his light brown hair as he looks to the horizen.

(Y/N) sighs at the sight, still amazed at how well her boyfriend had aged over the years.

"Looks like we found another one, guys!"
Hiccup's voice comes out cheery, making her scoff.

"Hiccup, you almost died..again! Which resulted in Toothless having to save you..again!!"

She scolds him in a stern voice, causing him to look back at her with a pout before his face lights up with a wide grin.

"Oh, you do care" Hiccup teases, his smiles bright as (Y/N)'a glare hardens. He looks down nervously, trying not to make contact with the harsh glare.

Hiccup spins around dramatically with his arms out, showing no wounds. (D/N) snorts, him and (Y/N) sharing the same look, making
Hiccup sigh.

"Come on, love. Can I have a hug?" He tries, watching as her glare softens slightly,

"..please?"

He outstretches his arms to the girl like a toddler, (Y/N) rolls her eyes as a small smile plays on her face.

She walks towards him, ducking under his arms and leaning down towards, Toothless, who was pouting.

"My poor baby!" She coos, making his tail wag lightly. "Did the bad man make you crash through those trees?" Toothless pouts, nodding and purring as she scratches under his jaw.

He glares at Hiccup, grabbing a pebble with his claw and tossing it at the boy, striking him dead on the forehead.

(D/N) rumbles a laugh, laying down and watching them in amusement, Hiccup glaring playfully at Toothless.

"Oh, what? Do you want an apology?"

Toothless glares back, his ears flat as he nuzzles into (Y/N)'s stomach, making her laugh and hug him while patting his head.

"Is that why you're pouting big baby boo?"

Toothless mocks Hiccup with low grumbles, (Y/N) snickering as she steps aside, watching as her boyfriend stalks towards his dragon.

"Well, I can't have that! So, try this on!"

Hiccup tosses his helmet, charging at Toothless as he tries to tackle him. Toothless barely moves, boredly looking around as (Y/N) slumps down next to (D/N) and rubs his neck as they watch the two.

"You feeling it yet? Huh?" Hiccup struggles, pushing Toothless as he remains sitting. "My raw, Viking anger for you stealing my girlfriend?"

Toothless rises to his feet, rumbling as he waddles over to the edge of the cliff as Hiccup dangles from his neck.

"Uh... (Y/N)..help..please?"

"Oh, but of course!" She smiles,reaching over and lifting (D/N)'s head gently before setting it on her lap. "Oh dear! This poor dragon has trapped me!"

(D/N) raises a brow, shrugging before closing his eyes with a happy chitter as (Y/N) rubs his ear.

Hiccup stares at her, struggling to hold onto Toothless. "Oh, come on. Come on," he nervously laughs.

"You wouldn't hurt a one-legged-!" He shrieks as he looks down, making Toothless rumble a laugh as (Y/N) watches with an amused smile.

"You're right! You're right, you win!" Hiccup pleads, yelping and laughing as Toothless flops back, taking him down.

"Oh, and he's down!" (Y/N) gasps, Hiccup smirking and chuckling as he plays along.

"And it's ugly!" Hiccup pushes Toothless' paw off his chest, playfully swinging at him as Toothless lightly paws at his head. "Dragons and Vikings, enemies again! Locked in combat to the bitter-!"

He groans loudly as Toothless drops his head on his chest, "Oh, I'll never see (Y/N) again.." he weeps, his hands flying to his forehead.

"And to think..she never even gave me one final kiss.."

(D/N) rumbles with laughter, moving his head from the girls lap and rolling onto his back as he stretches with a yawn.

"How terrible!" She mocks, shaking her head as she begins to walk to the two. Hiccup chuckles, smiling softly at her before glancing at Toothless just as he starts to lick at his face.

He groans in disgust, quickly scooting away from Toothless and rolling back onto his feet as Toothless jumps up.

"You know that doesn't wash out!"

"..gross."

He looks to his girlfriend with a deadpanned look, sticking his tongue out to her before wiping his face, (Y/N) sticks her tongue back at him with a chuckle.

Toothless roars a laugh as Hiccup wipes his saliva away, making him pause and smirk as he flings his spit at him.

Toothless flinches, shaking his head before licking his paw and using it to clean his face.

(D/N) flips onto his feet, making (Y/N) look down and smile as he gnaws at his prosthetic, the girl reaches down and taps her metal fingers with a hum.

Hiccup watches her with a frown, he knew that ever since their first battle, (Y/N) had always been self conscious about her missing digits.

It was a strange sight to see, the ever so confident girl, who made people shrink with just one look, actually had something that she wanted to be kept hidden, something she was ashamed of.

He never understood it, but decided that he wouldn't ask, only when she was ready to talk to him would he bring the topic up.

Hiccup sighs, and with a shake of his head he slowly walks towards his lover, a gentle smile pulling at his lips.

He reaches over and takes ahold of her hand, (Y/N) flinching at the unsuspecting contact.

She turns to him, watching with a frown as he brings her hand up and fiddles absentmindedly with her prosthetic fingers.

Hiccup smiles, bringing her hand up and placing gentle kisses to the space where the prosthetic and her skin meet.

(Y/N)'s eyes soften as she coos at the gesture, bringing both hands up to cup his cheeks.

She leans forward, Hiccup meeting her halfway as they share a gentle kiss, (Y/N) smiles as she feels him bring his arms around and pull her against him.

The two stay like that for a few more seconds before breaking away with deep breaths, slowly opening their eyes and smiling at eachother.

(Y/N) sighs, nodding to the boy in a silent thanks before turning her head and walking towards the cliff.

Hiccup frowns at her sudden leave, but shakes his head, dismissing the thought and following her.

He takes out his journal as (Y/N) crouches down, carefully unfolding a map they've been creating as Toothless joins his side, (D/N) laying down and leaning against his friend.

Hiccup takes a page of his journal, Toothless licking it to allow it to stick to the map. He firmly presses it in place before sharpening his pencil, tucking his dagger in his armor sleeve.

While he was doing that (Y/N) reached over and unsheathed her sword, rubbing her thumb against the blade, smiling at the sight of her and Hiccup's initials etched into the handle.

She watches as the sun catches against the weapon, squinting at the light and placing it back into her holster.

She turns towards Hiccup, watching as he places a small compass down and navigates the map.

He writes something down before placing the  pencil into his mouth, tapping his thigh in thought.

"So," he pauses, taking the pencil out of his mouth. "What should we name it?" He looks behind him and snorts as Toothless groans and nibbles under his arm.

".. Itchy Armpit' it is,"

(Y/N) chuckles and watches as he starts sketching it. "What do you reckon? Think we might find a few Timberjacks in those woods?"

"Possibly," she nods, humming in thought. "Makes sense why we saw a few of em flying this way.." Toothless curiously sniffs at the map as Hiccup nods with a smile.

"What about you two? Think we might find an odd Whispering Death or two in the rocks?"

(D/N)'s and Toothless' ears flatten as he raises his head towards his rider, (Y/N) shaking her head with a laugh. "Hates those things.." Hiccup chuckles with a raised brow, (Y/N) rolling her eyes playfully.

"Who wouldn't?"

Hiccup chuckles, speaking again after a moment. "Who knows...maybe we'll finally track down another Night Fury..or Woolly Howl.."

Both teens go quiet at the mention of the Woolly Howl.

It was well known that the dragon's were quickly becoming extinct, whether it was by natural causes or dragon trappers..nobody knew.

(D/N) looks over at Hiccup before he lays back down, looking towards the horizen. (Y/N) turns to her dragon with a frown, reaching over and gently rubbing his head as he shuts his eyes.

"Wouldn't that be something?" Hiccup sighs heavily, sitting up and looking over at the girl.

"So, what do you say? Just keep going?"
