The lyrics compares love to a headlock and speaks of a partner who is rarer than an uncommon soft drink. It suggests taking a chance and seeing how things turn out, that it could lead to something good and special. The chorus encourages the listener to experience love without knowing what the outcome will be and expresses the singer's vulnerability in opening himself up to the possibility of being hurt."
