Hope
"What kind of monster do you think she is?"
I feel weaker than before. Like something is missing. And I would wonder what that is if I didn't remember what just happened a few seconds ago. But I do.
"We haven't seen a monster in a human form come out of the pit before."
I whimpered, once again feeling the effects of vervain and wolfsbane in my system...or is it just vervain? I can't feel the sting of wolfsbane though I could smell it. But it's not affecting me.
"We found traces of vervain and wolfsbane in her system. That's why she's unconscious." Said another man after I heard the sound of the door opening.
"So...what, she's a vampire and a werewolf?" His voice is familiar. It only took me a second before I finally recognized that voice.
Of all the people I would get reunited with, it really had to be Ryan Clarke.
"A hybrid of some sort? Is that possible?" Clarke added.
They think that I'm half werewolf and half vampire because of the vervain and wolfsbane in my system. But judging from what I feel, I guess Kai picked to siphon my werewolf side.
Without that, my aggression greatly decreased. I could feel that I have more control over my emotions. But with my vampire side still present, my emotions are still heightened, just not as much as before when I was a true tribrid.
But...without my werewolf side, I feel further away from my mom. The only connection I had left with her was the fact that we share the same werewolf bloodline. That I'm a Labonair werewolf.
Now, I don't even have that.
That pissed me off.
With the strength I have left, I stood up and turned around only to be faced with the railings of the cage I was in.
"You're awake." Said Clarke. He looked as he did the last time I saw him. But for some reason, he was looking at me like I'm some sort of a puzzle that he couldn't figure out. Like I was a code he couldn't decipher...Like he doesn't recognize me at all.
Why are they even wondering what I am? Is it because I went through the pit again and they've forgotten who I am? If so, how the hell did I get back out?
"Who are you?" He asked.
Yep. He doesn't remember me at all.
I didn't say anything. Instead, despite my body aching and heavy, I stood up straight and held my gaze towards him, not even blinking as he narrowed his at me.
"Do you speak English?" Clarke asked.
"Do I look like an idiot?" I retorted.
Clarke's lips break into a grin at my response.
"Good." He just replied. "What kind of monster are you?"
"What makes you think I am?"
"Can a question be answered by another question?"
"What do you think?"
Clarke clenches his jaw at my uncooperative attitude. He puts his hands inside the pocket of his trousers as he eyed me,surely attempting to find a way to crack me.
"You look human." Clarke commented as he studied me.
"Do I?" I responded, not being of any help. The last thing I want is for them to figure out what exactly I am and find a way to stop me.
"Are you incapable of answering properly?" He asked. I could already hear the annoyance in his tone. He was done with me for now, that much I know.
"It depends on my mood." I said.
He continued to study me, narrowing his eyes, and holding my gaze to look at least as tough as me. But what he didn't know, is that while he's doing that, I could already feel my strength returning. And in a few moments, I can get out of here.
"Right. Well, let me know when you're in the mood to cooperate." Clarke said before abruptly standing up from his seat, heading towards the only door in the room.
He left two of his security guards by the door inside the room, gripping their guns firmly which I could already tell is loaded with both vervain and wolfsbane darts. The stench is revolting.
"Where am I?" I asked the two guards.
I waited for an answer for a few seconds but it never came. The two guards stayed silent and motionless in their positions, aside from the rising and falling of their chests as they breathed.
"Fine, I guess I'll have to figure it out myself." I said before lifting my hands and focusing my gaze on the lock of the cage. "Fractos."
The lock broke and the door of the cage flew open, finally enabling the two security guards to move in their positions as they formed an alert stance, their dart guns pointing at me.
"You're a witch!" Exclaimed one of them.
"Oh, really? I didn't know." I retorted before taking a step forward to walk out of the cage. But before I could take any step, the sound of their fingers pulling the triggers of their guns caused me to once again hold my hand up, stopping the darts mid-air then dropping them to the ground.
"Let's do this again. Where am I?" I asked.
I flicked my hand and their bodies lifted from the ground. I could hear their heartbeats racing, their breaths becoming ragged, and their voices stuck in their throat.
"You have about three seconds before I break your bones. One—"
"T-Triad Industries!" One of them answered.
Triad? Again? Does this load of crap ever run out of headquarters?
"Thank you for your cooperation." I simply said. "Ad somnum."
Their bodies came crashing to the ground, their consciousness as absent as their intelligence when it comes to the supernaturals. Not long after, an ear-piercing alarm blared throughout the entire building, nearly crushing my eardrums before I got the chance to cover them. Damn these vampire hearing.
Clapping my hands over my ears, I looked around the room and found that the only exit is through that door and I'm pretty sure they will come through that door. I can't risk it.
Letting the painful alarm seep through my ears, I held my hand up towards the concrete wall beside me before murmuring an incantation.
"Bruciare supe terram, faciendo ignis ga praemium." I chanted before propelling my arms forward and letting the concrete wall explode.
A bunch of debris flew everywhere as I stood before the destroyed wall, which now transformed into several large rocks compiled on the ground.
I could hear the marching of the guards going in my direction. Their frantic shouts and commands were bouncing off the walls with every step they took towards the room I'm in. With one last look behind me, I ran out of the building.
My body still slightly aches from the vervain in my system but I'm strong enough to vamp speed out of the building and towards the direction where I could already hear the sound of cars honking and their engines revving. I just need to get to a crowded place and they'll lose me.
I could see multiple headlights and lamp posts brightening the highway and I ran every faster only to find myself stumbling forward when I tried to stop, my knees weakening from being not yet fully healed.
With that, I feel my body being propelled upward when I made harsh contact with a car. In those mere three seconds, I felt myself floating in the air, almost like a slow motion. Getting hit by a car shouldn't feel this graceful. But for a while, it did. I Like the calm before the storm...then the storm hits.
My head and body hit the roof of the car before rolling towards the back, finally landing on the ground behind the car. Several cars stopped around us, hovering around to see what happened. And honestly, even I wondered how the hell I was suddenly hit by a car of all things.
"Shit!" I heard someone curse as the sound of a car door opening and closing rang in my ears, as did the chaotic honking of the cars behind the ones parked in front of me.
I whimpered as I could feel every broken bone in my body, which was a lot. And with the vervain slowing down my healing process, I have a feeling that I won't be able to walk for a little while. I can barely even lift my arm.
"Jarvis, call an ambulance!" Said the man who came from the car that hit me before crouching down beside me.
If my eyes weren't as bloodshot as it is right now, I would see more of his features. But I do see him with a chiseled jawline that seemed like it would cut a finger once someone touches it. Slightly messy chestnut brown hair. Pale-red lips. And his eyes hiding behind sunglasses, which I can only wonder why he's wearing given that the sun is long gone.
"Where the fuck did you come from?" I heard him mutter to himself.
In a nutshell? An Original Hybrid and a werewolf royalty. The long version though, it's complicated.
Despite being partially immobilized because of my slow recovery, I lifted a finger and murmured, trying to get his attention. He had to take a double look at my face and my finger when he noticed.
"No, no, don't say anything. The ambulance is on its way." He said.
For some reason, his voice sounded expensive. Am I hallucinating?
"No..." I mumbled. It's hard to talk when half my face is pressed down the cemented road and is relatively broken.
"What?" He leaned closer, trying to make sense of what I was saying.
That's all I needed.
I looked into his eyes and gathered enough strength to say the words.
"I can't go to the hospital. Get me out of here now."
The moment I saw his eyes dilate at my words, I let my eyes close and my body heal.

At this point, I find that waking up is a bitch. Because recently, it's either I wake up in Kai's captivity or in Triad's. So, the next time I regained consciousness, I immediately peeled my eyes open and jerked upward, finding myself tucked in a cozy bed.
"Good morning."
"Crap." I cursed as I jumped at the sound of a robotic voice which I can only assume is installed in this room? Technology is weird.
"My name is J.A.R.V.I.S. I'm here to attend to your needs as long as you're under Mr. Stark's watch. It's 9:46 in the morning of August 22nd. It's 30 degrees Celcius outside, would you like to freshen up on the beach? I'm sure Mr. Stark would love to accompany you." Said the robot.
Beach? Where the hell am I?
"Where am I?" I asked.
"You're in Miami, Florida, in Mr. Stark's residence." It answered.
I don't know which one of these things I should be confused of, the fact that I'm in Miami or the fact that this robot keeps mentioning someone named Mr. Stark.
"You keep mentioning Mr. Stark, who the hell is Mr. Stark?"
"That would be me."
I whipped my head towards where the voice came from and saw a familiar man standing by the doorway holding a brown paper bag. I recognize him from last night. His chestnut brown hair was ruffled and slightly messy. He was wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a simple grey shirt which accentuates the muscles he had on his biceps. He also had a few stubbles scattered around this chin and jaw. But without the sunglasses and the fact that my eyesight is clearer than the last memory I have, I'm able to finally see the color of his eyes. It's a deep brown. It may look ordinary but for some reason, his gaze held much more than one thinks. Making his eyes look like a challenge...of some sort. I can't explain it.
All I know is that he's trying hard to hide something that even his eyes are becoming mysterious.
And mysterious is also called suspicious. The next thing I knew, I'm already pinning the man against the wall, my arm roughly shoved against his neck, causing him to struggle in breathing.
"I-Is this how you say...good morning on your planet? 'Cause it's interesting." He managed to say despite his airways being cut off.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Geez. I'm offended you had to ask that." He had the audacity to joke when I'm currently have him in a chokehold? His lack of cooperation annoyed me and caused me to push my arm further against his throat, causing him to groan.
"Tony! My name's Tony Stark. Goddammit, woman, you're super strong." The man, Tony, said rather throaty because of the lack of air and probably the pressure of my arm against his neck.
"Why am I here?"
"Can't we just do this like normal people? I ordered cheeseburgers."
I eyed him for a few seconds, before ripping my gaze from him and towards the paper bag he was holding. I was starving. That won't exactly satisfy my hunger but it could help me think straighter.
I guess a cheeseburger wouldn't hurt. It's not like this strange man can even stand against me.
