Friendly Stalker

CARLISLE DROPPED THALIA AT THE FRONT OF THE UNIVERSITY. While Thalia is about to enter the teacher's lounge, someone taps on her shoulder, turning around, she sees her fellow co-worker with a big smile on his face and says, "Hello, Thalia."

"Oh, Hello Julian, good morning," Thalia says as she opens the door and heads inside, and places her papers on her desk as the man follows her to her table.

"Wonderful day, isn't it?" Julian asks as he rubs his hands together as if feeling nervous, or he looks like he needs something from her.

"Indeed it is Julian," Thalia says as she sits and looks up at Julian. The man opens and closes his mouth as if debating with himself and finally says, "W-Would you like to go on a date with me?"

Thalia looks at him with wide eyes. How could she deny him politely? Or not hurt his feeling by saying no? Making up a quick excuse, she says, "I'm sorry, Julian, but I have a boyfriend."

"Oh-um-, who's your boyfriend?" Julian asks as he bites off the skin of his lips, and Thalia answers, not really thinking about the answer, "His name is Dr. Carlisle Cullen."

Julian gapes at her as if surprised by what she said. "Dr. Cullen, i-is your boyfriend?"

"Yes, we've been dating for weeks now," Thalia says with a kind smile on her face and continues, "I'm so sorry, Julian. If I'm not with anyone, I'll agree to go on a date with you."

"No-no, it's alright, I'll just wait until you two split up," Julian says with a laugh with every word, and Thalia looks at him with wide eyes and thought, did she really hear that right? He'll wait until she and Carlisle split up? It's not that they are really together. It was just an excuse, but really now?

Thalia didn't even know how to respond at this point, so she got up from her seat and went to her class early, leaving a gawking Julian behind.

And so the friendly stalking began.

WEEK ONE; Julian has been following her around and only stops when she has her classes, and she couldn't help but feel scared. The man has been paying for her food and even offered to substitute for her afternoon class, which she politely denied. He even carries her bags.

Another murder has happened in that week, and the Cullens and Hales have been keeping an eye out. Alice can't see the person who is behind the murders, saying her visions become dark if she tries. Carlisle concluded that maybe the person was an unknown creature that Alice hadn't encountered before, and that's why she couldn't see a glimpse.

WEEK TWO; Julian's stalking gets worse. He even follows her to her apartment, saying that he'll protect her from the person who's causing all the murders if the said person decides to go for Thalia.

One night, Thalia takes a peek out her apartment window and sees Julian's car at the front of her apartment building, and Thalia is a tad creeped out by him. Carlisle decided to take Edward to her apartment to read Julian's thoughts, and the copper-haired man told them that his thoughts were just of Thalia and that Julian even loved her.

Another murder happened in week two, the body was thrown into the nearby river, still without a heart, and Carlisle has been going with her and guiding her if Thalia is in a daze because of her ancestors whispering and screaming in her head.

WEEK THREE; Celia visits her granddaughter and insists that she should stay with Thalia until the murders have been resolved, and Thalia refuses to let her grandmother stay and says that she should be away from danger, so Celia just visits with her for a week.

A body has been found in the cemetery half-buried on the ground, and Thalia has been under a lot of stress since the murders in the city aren't getting better. It's just getting worse. For a month and a half, she's been staying in Manhattan. She found five bodies. She doubts that the numbers will get lower but will only go higher.

And Julian is still Julian, still her friendly stalker.

THALIA IS HONESTLY GETTING ANNOYED WITH JULIAN FOLLOWING HER AROUND. She doesn't even know how to tell him to stop stalking her, so she decides that enough is enough and let Carlisle deal with the situation, so now Carlisle is currently talking to the universities principal.

The principal approached Thalia and hugged her tightly, and said, "You should've spoken early so that we could've dealt with the situation early."

"I thought that Julian would stop around a week, but he didn't," Thalia responds with a sigh, and the principal says, "We do not encourage any acts of stalking or any kind of harassment here."

"Julian is fired. He's been stalking you for three goddamn weeks, Thalia," The principal continues while disapprovingly shaking their head.

"Thank you so much for taking this seriously," Thalia says as she shakes the principal's hand. "Of course, Thalia, if anything like this happens again, go straight to my office."

Thalia nods and walks over to Carlisle with a relieved smile on her face, as the man chuckles while shaking her head, "I told you we should've done this earlier," Thalia rolls his eyes as they walk towards his car and drives towards her apartment.

Walking up the elevator and through the apartment halls, she sees a box at the front of her door, and Carlisle holds her shoulder and says, "I smell blood."

"Stay here," He continues, and Thalia nods. The blonde man nears the box and carefully opens the ribboned box, covers his mouth and releases a sigh, and covers the box again, hiding its contents from Thalia.

"What is it?" Thalia asks, and Carlisle answers, "There's a note."

Thalia takes the note from his hand and reads, "𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓫𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 𝓶𝔂 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓪"

Thalia sucks in a breath and tries to calm herself, and asks, "What's inside the box?"

Carlisle hesitates but answers anyway, "A heart."

"Gods," Thalia says while sitting down. "I'll call Jasper and the others to track the scent and call the police," Carlisle says as he dials a number on his phone and immediately, the four boys are at her apartment and quickly tracks the scent.

Carlisle offers that she should stay at his house because the person who did this clearly is psychotic and she isn't safe, so packing a suitcase of two, they drove to Carlisle's house.

Thalia is immediately greeted with a hug by Esme and Alice, as Rosalie just squeezes her shoulder comfortably, thinking that Thalia is terrified of what just happened, "The scent disappeared 3 miles from her apartment, led us to the ocean," Christopher says as he walks in with the three boys, Esme holds Thalia's hand says "You should rest, Carlisle's room is ready."

Carlisle leads her to his room as the others discuss possible outcomes. As Thalia got ready for bed, the blonde man was waiting for him on his sofa with a makeshift bed and looked at her with worry.

"You should stay here for now until it's safe to go back to your apartment," Thalia just nods, already tired and with no energy to protest or speak, she lays down on the sofa.

As Carlisle is about to leave, she sits up and says, "Can you stay? I don't think I can sleep alone after that," Carlisle nods and brings a seat near her, and hold her hand tightly as Thalia sleeps comfortably beside him.

➵Stalking is harassment and should be taken seriously, especially if the person who's doing it is in a workplace that is supposed to be safe for the people who work there. They should be fired or put into jail because what they're doing is scary (no shade to Edward stalking a 17-year-old girl and watches her sleep)
