Mommy and daughter reunion gone wrong
(S2:E17 - Know thy enemy)
"GOOD MORNING, KATERINA."
Elijah greets with a grin, hands tucked in his pockets as Katherine approaches him warily in the tomb's opening.
"Your attire is different from the last time I saw you," Elijah noted as he looked at Katherine. "Assuming that Damon Salvatore asked you about this-" Elijah continues, taking the dagger from his coat pocket and showing it to Katherine.
Katherine nervously gulps, backing away as she trembles, legs almost bucking. Elijah sped in front of her, alarmingly calm. "No matter. I'll let Niklaus deal with you."
Katherine starts to shake her head, eyes wide in panic, "No, no, plea-" She doesn't finish her pleading when Elijah looks deeply into her eyes as he removes the compulsion that he had set on her. Elijah suddenly snapped her neck. With Katherine fell to the ground with a thud.
Maddox, Niklaus's witch, saunters towards Elijah. "You can take her to him." Elijah nods, motioning to Katherine's body. Maddox nods in compliance as he drags Katherine's body. Elijah walks out of the Church ruins, and his phone pings. Taking it out of his pocket, he sees the name, and his mood instantly lightens.
Genesis.
Isobel is back. Do you mind taking care of her? <3

"WHY IS MOMMY DEAREST BACK? I'm sure she's not here to have a mother-daughter bonding because her daughter's life is in danger. It's too late to reconnect." Genesis comments as Damon leads her towards the Witch Burial Ground, also known as the Old Witch House, which is a forsaken lodge that rests upon the location of where one-hundred witches were brutally burned to death.
Damon knew the location of the witch massacre all along because he tried to save Emily Bennet. At the time, his only key to getting Katherine out of the tomb, and he carelessly trusted Genesis that he brought her along.
Too bad.
Two boys who are unknowingly helping two women who are against them. Before they arrived here, Bonnie told her over text that she'll pretend to use a magic spell that'll convince Jeremy and Damon that she channeled the power of the one-hundred dead witches in the house.
Bonnie stands by what she says that she wants nothing to do with the sacrifice or anything about Elena at all. But she needed to play the part.
"Isobel said she just wants to help Elena." Damon shrugs his shoulders, "Even offered her a safe house that's under Elena's name." Damon releases a scoff, and Genesis scrunches her nose.
"Seems sketchy," Genesis replies as they arrive in front of the house. And she immediately sensed the magic in the place, and it was powerful. Damon, Bonnie, and Jeremy enter the house while Genesis stays outside. Damon looks back, raising an eyebrow. "Don't want to go inside, scared?" Damon teases.
Genesis scoffs, crossing her arms. "If this is really where those witches died. They have vengeful and restless souls, Damon." Genesis rolls her eyes, "And witches hate vampires. No offense, Bonnie." Genesis looks at Bonnie with a wink.
"None taken," Bonnie answers with a small smile. Damon strolls inside, looking around, while Jeremy steps on loose wood, cracking underneath his feet, almost tripping. Genesis snorts. Damon turns around, about to head outside, when he suddenly stops, feeling like he hit a wall.
Damon thought that Bonnie was playing tricks on him then she denied it. His skin started to burn, and his ring wasn't working, groaning out in pain as Bonnie helped him. Damon decided to stay outside with Genesis.
"Told you so."
Damon irritatedly rolls his eyes at her as he fixes his leather jacket. "Yeah, yeah." then, looking at her intriguingly. "How's that date with the man in a suit?"
Genesis raised an eyebrow, then said in a mocking tone as she pretended to seal her lips with her finger, "A woman doesn't boast about intimate affairs."
Her phone pinged, and Genesis pointedly looked at Damon as walks away from him. Genesis opens her phone reading the text from Elijah.
Isobel informed me that she's been looking for Niklaus. And that she plans to give Katherine to him. In another matter, Niklaus intends to use his little tricks on someone. Do you have a person in mind?
The vampire hunter. Alaric. They wouldn't suspect a thing. Tell Isobel to lure him out. Maddox will know exactly what to do next. Genesis responds as Elijah immediately replies.
Noted. Where are you?
The witch massacre site. Damon showed me where. I'll inform Cassandra later. Let's meet there later.
Of course. I'll see you then.
Damon receives an alarming call from Elena that he's needed in the Lockwood mansion because he needs to deal with John's body. She thinks that Isobel is behind that.
It probably is.
So after Genesis assured him that she'd take care of Bonnie and Jeremy, he took off in an instant. An hour later. Bonnie and Jeremy walk out of the house, with Bonnie and Genesis sharing a look with a clueless Jeremy babbling about how cool it is inside the house.
Genesis dropped them off at their houses while Genesis headed towards her house. With an awaiting Rose on the front porch.
"Damon called. He asked me to help him find Elena." Rose greets, and Genesis nods, "Yeah, you can go. We have to keep up the appearance of good guys." Genesis jokes out, and Rose chuckles.
"If only they knew we're far from good," Rose responded with a light laugh as she sped away.
Genesis shakes her head as she enters her house, dropping off the keys in the white ceramic bowl, placing her coat on the suit rack, grabbing a blood bag in the freezer in the basement then pouring it on a tumblr. She headed towards the door then she felt a presence arrive.
She opened the door and sees...
Elliot Cresswell is standing in front of her with a grin, wearing a dark blue polo and white pants. He's wearing his glasses, hair combed to the back, wearing brown testoni shoes. Genesis releases a squeal as she envelopes him in a hug, with Elliot catching her and spinning her around, a deep laugh rumbling from his chest.
"Glad to see you too, Gen." Elliot chuckles as he gently places her down.
Genesis playfully slaps his chest as she scowls at him. "You should've texted me that you'll arrive today."
"Why? Would you cook me a meal? That's so sweet, honey." Elliot chuckles, and Genesis playfully rolls her eyes, "That's so sexist."
Genesis invited him to come in, as she said. "I would have at least bought you some chocolate cupcakes. Your favorite."
Elliot places his luggage beside the couch, sitting on it with a satisfied sigh. "Make yourself feel at home." Genesis teases.
"I'll buy them. It looks like you're heading out anyway." Elliot replies, and Genesis exclaims as a hand goes to her forehead. "It'll be quick. I'll just talk to Cassandra and Elijah. The shop's name is Mystic Cafe, beside the park in town."
"Go. I'll be here when you come back." Elliot tells her with an encouraging smile. Then Genesis nods. "Extra guest room is right down the hall," Genesis tells him as she walks out the front door.
"Thanks!" Elliot exclaims. Genesis shook her head as she sped towards Cassandra's house. Knocking on the door with, Cassandra answered. "Gen, come in. Elijah's already here."
Genesis enters the house smiling, heading towards the living room with Cassandra following behind her and seeing Clementine sitting on the couch while Elijah scans their bookshelf. "Apologize for being late. I got caught up."
"No worries." Elijah turns around, facing her. He's wearing a dark green oxford shirt and black trousers. And might Genesis say that dark green looks good on him.
Genesis sits beside Clementine, whose nose is buried in a book, only removing her eyes from the page she's reading when she greets Genesis. "Hey, Gen."
"Hey, kiddo. I got some news." Genesis tells her, and Clementine closes her book shut. Placing it on the side table as Cassandra put glasses filled with juice on the coffee table.
"Thank you, Cassandra." Elijah smiles at her as he takes a drink in his hand, taking a sip while Cassandra sits beside Genesis.
"I know where the location of the massacre is. And one-hundred witches burned in that house, meaning you can siphon all you want. Cassandra could even channel it." Genesis looks at Cassandra with her shaking her head and politely declining. "I'm powerful enough to break the curse. Clementine needs it more than me."
Genesis nods, looking at Elijah, who is just listening. "Did she do it?" Genesis asks him as Elijah gives her a curt nod, "Maddox is preparing the spell as we speak. Katherine is in his possession."
"Why does he want to possess someone?" Clementine scrunches her nose, confused, as she tucks in her feet.
Elijah chuckles, shaking his head. "He wants to play first. Of course, in his words, Genesis shouldn't have all the fun." Elijah tells her, and Genesis releases a light laugh. He looks at his wristwatch, takes his phone out then excuses himself. Genesis couldn't help but overhear his conversation with Isobel, that she had done her job.
Genesis grins. She then glances at Clementine, who is looking at her side questionably. Then Genesis calls her, her head snapped towards Genesis, with a shy smile on her lips. "I'll show you the location of the massacre tomorrow. If you would like?"
Clementine nods eagerly, "Sure." then she frowns, "Wouldn't they hate me, though?" She mutters out weakly.
Cassandra's face softens, "You don't have to siphon their magic if you don't want to. I can break the curse on my own."
Clementine disagrees, shaking her head. "I want to help you, and it's the least I could do after Klaus helped us with everything." Her voice is firm, and Cassandra purses her lips, reluctantly nodding.
Elijah walked back. "After Clementine siphons the witch's magic. We should have a meeting tomorrow. All of us while Niklaus does...whatever he pleases to do." Elijah chuckles at his brother's antics, tucking a hand in his pocket. "And discuss the details of the day when Niklaus decided to break his curse finally."
He wanted to make sure that mistakes would not take place on the day of the sacrifice.
The three women nodded as Genesis stood up from her seat. "I'll head out first. Elliot is waiting for me in the house." Genesis smiles politely at Cassandra and Clementine, and they both smile at her as they lead her outside, with Elijah following behind her.
Genesis looks at Elijah, tilting her head. "Would you like to meet my best friend?"
Elijah raises a teasing eyebrow at her as he grins. "I thought Niklaus was your best friend?"
