Genesis, the savior
(S2:E5 — Kill or be killed)

"EASY, LOVE. THE LOCATION OF THE RITUAL IS AT THE STEVEN'S QUARRY." Niklaus informs her, and Genesis nods thoughtfully, having no idea where that is, but she thinks of Clementine's offer for a tour of the town. It's a Sunday, anyway. Genesis is sure that Clementine will agree to help.

"And why is it located there?" Genesis asks intriguingly as she parks her car in Cassandra's parking spot.

"It's the birthplace of the original doppelgänger, Tatia," Niklaus replies.

Tatia, Tatia, Tatia.

The name repeats in her head. She had heard of that name before, it was familiar, but she just couldn't place her finger on where exactly she had heard it from.

"Well, I don't know where Steven's Quarry is. I'm going to take Clementine's offer for a tour of this town." Genesis tells him as she exits the car, and she walks towards the front door knocking.

"How is the girl?"

"I will tell you after I chit-chat with her." Genesis ends the call as Cassandra greets her in a nurse uniform with her, preparing to leave. "Shift at the hospital?"

Cassandra answers with a nod, "You?"

"Can I borrow Clementine for a while?" Genesis asks with a sweet smile, and Cassandra chuckles as she rolls her eyes, calling Clementine to say that Genesis is asking for her. "Might be good for her to be out once in a while," Cassandra tells her as Clementine walks toward them, standing beside her mother.

"Hi, Gen!" Clementine greets with a pleasant smile. "You look nice." She compliments Genesis, and the latter smiles. "Thank you, darling. Now let's go." Genesis turns around as Clementine follows behind her, confused.

"Where are we going?" Clementine asks, and Cassandra waves at them before driving away.

"Taking you up on that tour," Genesis says as she opens the car door, and Clementine sits on the passenger side. And Clementine looks around the inside of Genesis' car in awe.

"I love being friends with rich people." Clementine breathes out as she carefully closes the car door.

Genesis laughs lightly. Goodness, this girl. "Any idea where Steven's Quarry is?"

Clementine answers. "Yeah. It's like where most teenagers hold parties because it's near a lake you can jump on." She scrunched her nose, and it was quite adorable.

"Don't like parties?"

"I prefer staying in reading and watching movies with mama," Clementine answers shyly, her voice low.

"We have our own definition of fun. Don't be embarrassed." Genesis says as she maneuvers her car as Clementine tells her that Steven's Quarry is located outside of Mystic Falls, a thirty-minute drive away from town.

"How do you know that it's outside of town?" Genesis asks and Clementine purses her lips sighing. "Giana wanted to know what the parties at the Quarry are all about, so we went once."

"That's where you learned that alcohol and shirtless boys aren't your things?" Genesis muses with a grin, and Clementine softly giggles.

"Yeah, not really." Clementine answers, then she suddenly glares at her side and she mutters something.

"Are you alright?" Genesis asks, concerned, looking at Clementine, who replaced her scowl with a smile. "Nothing, a fly was buzzing in my ear." Clementine waves her hand in dismissal, and Genesis furrows her eyebrows but doesn't ask any further as she changes the topic.

"How's your mom?" Genesis asks as Clementine frowns, deflating in her seat. Okay, maybe it wasn't a good question to ask. She was about to say something when Clementine answered.

"Mom's been coping since dad died. It's like another part of her died, too, you know? I still hear her cry in her room. Sometimes she tries to stay silent, but I still hear it.  It's been a rough two years for us." Clementine answers as she stares mindlessly at the road, fumbling with her fingers. Genesis places her hand on top of Clementine's hands, squeezing gently.

"I know you've heard countless unwanted pieces of unsolicited advice. So I won't give any. Just know that we're here for you. I'm here for you and your mum." Genesis firmly says a promise she will keep.

"It means a lot, Gen. At least we have you and Klaus to count on. It's not easy being separated from family." Clementine tells her with a soft smile. Clementine's relatives live in the Philippines, and while some of her cousins visit every summer, she still misses them. She misses home.

"You can go back to the Philippines. I can buy you and your mom a ticket, even for Ligaya." Genesis offers, and Clementine perks up, looking at Genesis in surprise.

"Really?"

"Really. Consider it a graduation present." Genesis wiggles her eyebrows at her, and Clementine squeals.

"I've wanted to go home for ages! Thank you, Genesis." Clementine quickly hugs Genesis' and Genesis chuckles, patting Clementine's shoulder.

"I have all the money in the world. Why not use it to make someone happy." Genesis answers and Clementine laughs as she sits back in her seat. "I will say it again. I love being friends with rich people." Genesis laughs too.

And so they drove, listening to music with Genesis singing. Clementine sang too, which surprised Genesis with how beautiful Clementine's voice was. She answered by saying it's the Filipino genes in her.

They arrive in the forest with a clear path for cars to drive in. Then Clementine pointed to a parking spot. Genesis turned the engine off, then Clementine said, "Aren't you going to have a hard time walking in those? The field is filled with rocks." motioning to her Jimmy Choo black stilettos, Genesis shrugged.

"It'll be fine." Genesis answers, closing the door, with Clementine exiting the car. Genesis locked her car, and they walked. It was easy enough for her to walk in her stilettos. She's been doing it for a long time now. It just takes practice and poise.

"Here it is," Clementine informs Genesis, a clearing before them. Genesis hums as she walks around, with Clementine following behind her. "Why are we here again?"

"This is where the sacrifice will take place. I'm only familiarizing myself." Genesis tells her, and Clementine nods thoughtfully. Genesis walks on the stone with an altar on the cliff's edge. What a convenience. She takes her phone from her pocket and dials a number.

"Genesis," Niklaus answers boredly.

"Already getting tired of me calling you?"

"No. Not really."

"Be glad you have a friend to talk to."

"Very glad and honored to be called your friend, Genesis."

"Don't get used to it."

"And why did you call? Surely that tour with Clementine isn't over so soon."

"Actually–" Genesis places her phone on speaker, "Say hello to Clementine," Genesis tells Niklaus, and Clementine stands beside Genesis. "Hi, Klaus! How are you?"

"Well, well. Hello, sweetheart. Enjoying Genesis's company?" Klaus asks, and Clementine answers with a big smile. "Super."

"Really? Because she usually annoys me, it makes me want to snap her neck for her to shut up." Niklaus teases, and Genesis rolls her eyes. "If I had a dagger, I would stab you so good in the heart."

"Wouldn't work."

"Still inflicts pain."

Clementine laughs at their interaction, and Genesis sighs. "We're here in the Quarry you told me earlier."

"Eager to break my curse, are we?" Niklaus asks. He was grinning again. Genesis is sure of it.

"Unlike someone."

"I told you to entertain yourself first. And know who I should be aware of who could ruin our plans." Niklaus tells her, and Genesis rolls her eyes.

"I told you, Damon and Stefan Salvatore. You don't need to worry about the Bennett witch. Clementine told me the girl is trying to stay away from them because of her brother." Genesis informs Niklaus.

"Good. They're losing allies." Niklaus muses.

"And we're gaining. I'm going to talk to the girl soon." Genesis tells him, and Niklaus chuckles. "You do what you need to do, Genesis." Then Genesis ends the call and looks at Clementine, who's looking at the stone altar, her fingertips gliding on the rough surface.

"This place is filled with magic," Clementine tells Genesis, and Genesis nods. "Of course it is. It's where it all began." Genesis answers and continues. "Come on. I'm going to get you home."

Clementine looks as she walks towards Genesis and asks, "Can you drop me off at the park? The historical society volunteer picnic is today, and Giana is selling her baked goods there."

Genesis nods as they walk away from the Quarry, heading towards her car. "I have someone to meet there. Let's go together." Genesis tells her as she opens her car. "You hungry? I can stop by for food first?"

"Yeah. I'm really hungry." Clementine groans as she sits on the passenger seat, and Genesis chuckles. She is taking a sip on her green tumblr that's filled with type A blood that she got from Damon's stash. They drove, stopping at a local burger place, and letting Clementine eat, and it amazes Genesis that the girl could eat.

They arrived at the park. Clementine steps out of the car. "I'll meet you back here later?" Genesis nods as Clementine waves goodbye, and Genesis watches her as Clementine arrives at a stall with Giana selling cupcakes.

She parks her car. Turning off the engine and looking for Damon and Stefan and when she did find them. Damon was coughing a fit, and Stefan patted his back worriedly.

"What happened to you?" Genesis asks with a raised eyebrow as she crosses her arms to her chest.

"Vervain."

With that, Genesis suddenly went guarded, looking around. And sees the Sheriff looking at them. For fucksake, the Sheriff is on to them. She looked at the cup, picked it up, and she immediately smelled the herb.

Genesis gives Damon a bottle of water, with Damon snatching it away from her, then speed walks towards the railing, gurgling the water and spitting it out. "I'm gonna kill him." Damon turns around as Genesis grabs his arm and then makes him sit on the bench, her strength that Damon has no match with.

"You're being impulsive again, Damon."

"I don't care." Damon spits out, trying to stand up.

"If you do anything stupid. The Sheriff is already on to us. Now, what did you do?" Genesis asks, and Stefan answers. "He pissed off Mason Lockwood."

"Typical Damon."

"We need to put him down," Stefan says. Then Damon looks to his side, seeing Mason holding black binds, walking towards the woods.

"Woods. Trash duty. Come on." Damon says, and they immediately go towards the woods following Mason's direction. They cornered Mason. "Don't look so surprised. You knew this was inevitable." Damon tells him he was angry, his eyes with a thirst to kill. "Go ahead. Run. I'll give you a head start."

The gun went off as Mason bowed to the ground, the bullet hitting Damon, and before a bullet hit her, she was gone. Suddenly she was in the park, looking for Clementine. She spots them talking and sitting on a bench, and she is suddenly in front of them, and both girls lightly gasp in surprise.

"Genesis?" Clementine asks worriedly. "What's wrong?" seeing Genesis's facial features, that's trying to stay calm.

"I need you two to get out of here. The sheriff figured out that Damon and Stefan were vampires. So go home." Genesis tells Clementine, and Giana looks at her.

"My mom? Where is she? Where's Caroline?" Giana stands up to go search for her sister, but Genesis holds her shoulder, locking her in place.

"I'll look for your sister, but I need you both home. Are we clear?" Genesis firmly asks, and they both nod as Giana takes her keys from her pockets, and they run towards her car.

She heads back towards the woods and sees Mason head-locking Elena. Why do werewolves have to squeeze themselves in places they don't need to be involved in? It wasn't very pleasant.

"Want to bet?" Mason taunts, and Genesis is suddenly behind him, "You talk too much." Genesis says as she takes Mason by the neck and throws him against the tree. She places her heels on his chest.

"I'll deal with you later, werewolf boy." Genesis grins, kicking him in the rib as he lands on the other side of the forest, unconscious. "Thank me later," Genesis tells Caroline and Elena. Then they headed towards the entrance of the Lockwood cellar, where Genesis heard gunshots.

"Distract them, Elena," Genesis instructs the girl, and Elena nods, walking down the cobble stairs. "I can't let my mom know," Caroline tells Genesis pleadingly, and Genesis purses her lips. She then heads back down, with Caroline hesitating but following Genesis. Genesis then knocks down a police officer with gunshots getting fired. Caroline bites the other on the neck as the man screams, dropping the body dead on the ground.

Caroline's mouth is stained with blood, and she reveals herself in the shadows as Genesis takes the Sheriff's gun, throwing it on the ground. "Hi, mom."

After Damon and Stefan recover and Damon tells Lizzie that he's her friend and decides to lock her in the Salvatore Boarding house basement after the vervain is out of her system, Caroline or Damon is going to compel her to forget everything, including them being vampires.

"My sister, she's at home, and Katherine is going to kill her if she doesn't see me at home," Caroline tells Elena and Genesis. And Genesis stands up from her seat, taking her car keys from the coffee table. "I'll check."

"Thank you, Gen," Caroline says softly, feeling at ease. Genesis heads out as she drives towards the Forbes residence. She walks towards the front porch with the front door wide open. She then hears Giana struggling and with Katherine talking and asking where Caroline is.

Genesis sped up, throwing Katherine to the other side of the wall and taking her by the neck, with Giana holding her neck, catching her breath. Genesis then tilts her head with a taunting smile. "You'll leave Giana and Caroline alone." Genesis orders Katherine, with the latter struggling and clawing Genesis's hands.

"Why would I listen to you?" Katherine groans out.

"Because I said so. And if you don't. I'll kill you." Genesis threatens with a smile, and Katherine's eyes widen. She wondered why this woman who was choking her was stronger than her? And Katherine doesn't know who she is, and it annoys her even more.

"Bye, Katherine," Genesis tells her with a pout, then Katherine furrows her eyebrows, confused. Then Genesis snapped her neck, with Katherine falling on the ground with a thud, unconscious.

Genesis turns around and sees Giana looking at Katherine. "Stay at Clementine's for a while. Pack your stuff." Genesis tells her, and Giana nods while Genesis drags Katherine's body out of the house and threw her in the large garbage bin. Genesis chuckles.

Giana locks her house with her bags in her hands as Genesis takes them from her, and they walk on towards Clementine's house.

"Where's my sister? I just got home from Clementine's when Katherine attacked me." Giana asks worriedly as she holds her neck, a bruise forming.

"She's at the Salvatore's with your mom," Genesis informs her, and Giana looks at her confused as they stop in front of Cassandra's front porch. Genesis knocks.

"My mom? Why is she at the Salvatore's?" Giana asks confused with her eyebrows furrowing.

"They need to compel her to forget that Caroline, me, and the Salvatores are vampires." Genesis answers as Giana purses her lips, nodding. Clementine opens the door and sees Giana with her bags and Genesis beside her. She furrows her eyebrows but lets Giana inside the house.

"Thank you, Gen."

"You're welcome, Giana."
