Mal and Evie were currently in Lady Tremaine's beauty salon. They were making smoke bombs for the exchange at Uma's boat later that day.

"Hey thanks again, Dizzy for letting us use your supplies," Evie called out to the little girl sitting on her desk.

"No problem, you guys are always welcomed here." Dizzy gushed out with a pink face. She was so happy to see Evie back, even if it was for a few hours. "Also, be sure to throw away anything in the toxic bin when you leave, unless you want to keep it."

"Why would we keep it? Some of this stuff wrongly mixed could burn through our skin." Mal wondered aloud as the little girl shrugged back at her question.

"Jax never throws it away, whenever he's here he takes over half of the-" Dizzy was cut off by the purple haired girl.

"Wait, Jax? He comes here?" Mal walked over to her.

"Yeah," Dizzy answered, confused. Anyone who knew Jax knew his talents laid in the occult sciences. That said: experiments, chemicals, and botany. "It takes forever to get good supplies from the school's chemistry labs, so he just comes over here to get more stuff." She shrugged off.

"So that means you know him well? You guys talk when he comes over?" The purple haired girl pressed, it seemed like she was hell-bent on finding out more about the Hatter.

"Not really, he's very private. The only person you'd catch him talking to about personal stuff would be Harry, or maybe Uma." She offered.

"What about Yen Sid? His guardian?" Evie guessed.

"Jax moved in with Harry about a year and a half ago, remember?" Dizzy revealed.

"Wow, we are really bad when it comes to other people, huh?" Mal mused.

"No, we're not," Evie denied. "We've just been busy with our own problems."

"Well, anyway, as far as I know, Jax is incredibly loyal to Uma's crew. Possibly just because of Harry, but other than that, and his alchemist brain, and heavy-duty drunk days, there isn't much we or anyone knows about him."

"What about you, M? Didn't you say you knew him?"

"Yeah, but he had a crush on me, hanged around me for a few weeks, then it was suddenly like he vanished."

"But in those weeks, you never talked about stuff?"

"No," She answered sheepishly which earned her a disapproving look from her best friend. "Last time I saw him was before we all went to Auradon, I think. We were all just starting to get to know each other so I didn't spend as much time with him as you guys, plus I've never been a people person! You know that! Not to mention he never decided to talk about himself, he was practically my shadow for those weeks. I do remember he was never afraid of my mom the way everyone else was. It was weird." She said in defense. "Why is it so important anyway?"

"We all know about Uma, Harry, and Gil. Jax is a complete mystery to us, maybe learning more about him, we could use that against him, or against Harry even. We could even get him on our side."

"Wow, you really did go from beauty-obsessed witch to fashion-obsessed mad scientist just like that, huh?" She emphasized the 'that' with a snap of her fingers.

Evie, ignoring the purple-haired evil fairy, continued on with her theories. "Okay, what about Yen Sid, though? He still took care of him for years, he must know something." Evie repeated her same idea and took a quick look at her watch. "We still have an hour and a half until Uma's deadline, we can make it."

"You really want to go over there?" Mal was surprised. Sure, she was just as curious to figure out the Hatter's past, but to actually go through with it? Jax had changed a lot, how do they know he hasn't buried his past with Yen Sid? That the professor was loyal to the boy, or that Yen Sid would even help them?

"Unless you have anything on him, Yen Sid is our only lead." Evie redirected.

Mal groaned out loudly, bent over and came back with a scowl on her face. "Alright, I know that he's from Wonderland, Mad Hatter's kid, I don't know why he's on the Isle instead of Wonderland, or in Auradon with the rest of the Wonderland kids. I know that he's smart, both book and street smart. He can be unpredictable, surprisingly athletic, I remember once, a group of us raced to the other side of the island, he was the first person their, the dude is agile." Mal concluded. "Oh! And surprisingly, he doesn't wear colors. It's almost always black, and almost always a suit."

"Okay, that's good," Evie fake-nodded, "But not enough." She collected the smoke bombs and with a nod of her head, made an eye-rolling Mal follow her out of the salon.

On top of Uma's boat on the docks, Harry jumped from the top deck to where Ben was tied up against a pillar of the boat. He proceeded to use his hook to scratch Ben's neck. "Coochy coochy coo." He taunted with a dry laugh. "How's it feel to be the king now, eh?" Ben didn't answer the pirate.

Trying to get more of a reaction, Harry walked behind him, only to greet him with a hook to the face before being pulled back by Uma. "Give it a rest, Harry, give it a rest." He was visibly angry as he grabbed ropes to hang onto whilst he made his argument. "We don't want damaged goods." She told him.

"You said that I could hook him!" He growled.

"I said at noon." She retorted, her voice annoyed.

At that, he jumped down, pulled out the pocket watch gifted to him by his love, and proceeded to swing it in front of Ben's face, "Twenty more minutes." He sing-sung.

"That says twelve thirty." The tied up boy deadpanned.

"You better hope your girlfriend comes through." Uma started a conversation, guessing it was meant to be a warning.

"Well, she's not my girlfriend anymore," Ben muttered loudly enough for it to be heard, his voice was filled with obvious guilt and grief.

Uma had the faintest of smiles, "Leave us alone, Harry." She ordered.

The pirate went up to Ben before leaving, "Nineteen minutes to go now." He reminded.

"Go," Uma commanded once more, her voice louder.

"Why exactly does he have a particular grudge against me?" The king asked his capturer.

"We all hate you here, beastie boy, Harry ain't the only one." She reminded him.

"Yeah," Ben pouted slightly, accepting the fact. "But he's almost making it personal."

"That would probably be because of me."

Ben's face morphed into a shocked expression. He certainly didn't expect to see the Hatter's son, here, of all places. "Jax?" His name sounded foreign on his tongue, to be completely honest, he never expected to see this boy again.

Jax had a villainous grin on, but it wasn't a happy evil smile, it was more of a predatory one. Most species bare their teeth as a threat, as a display of aggression, and that's exactly why the alchemist was smiling. "It's good to see you again, Benny." His smile, wild and frightening.

At the moment, Jay and Carlos were trying to come up with an excuse for Chad Charming as to why they were making Fairy Godmother's Magic Wand with their 3D printer. That was until Dude decided to take matters into his own hands, or paws.

"Ben's been captured!" The campus mutt announced loudly.

"What?!" Chad exclaimed as his first reaction. "Dude can talk?" He gruffed out with amazement.

"I was stalling," Carlos whined to his dog.

The pooch still defended himself. "I thought you forgot!"

Jay was quick to bruise the prince, along with a warning, "Don't tell anyone. Ben's life depends on it."

"Really? So if something were to happen, you know what I'm saying?" The blonde brat started.

           "Something bad, we get it."

"God forbid," He gushed. "But if something were to happen, who'd you think would be in line to be king?" He pouted, raising his headless Chad doll in question.

"Is it me, or is that in really poor taste?" Jay scolded with Carlos scoffing in agreement. Jay walked back to the door, motioning for Chad to leave their dorm room.

"Fine." The prince exaggerated, but then swiveled back to the two villain kids. "Just out of curiosity, who took Ben? One of your parents?" Chad would probably bring the name up in public if he ever got the chance to blame a villain kid.

Carlos looked at Jay, having a silent conversation as to if they should tell him, Jay shrugged and the De Vil boy went ahead with it. "Group of kids from the Isle, Ursula's daughter, Uma, Harry Hook, Jax Hatter, etcetera." He answered quickly. "Can you go now?" He grunted, his hand motioning towards the door.

Chad was going to until he stopped suddenly. "Did you say 'Jax Hatter'?" He spoke the name in spite.

Both VK's there had either raised eyebrows or suspicion. "Yeah," Jay spoke in an undertone. "What about him?"

Chad swiveled back at the long-haired boy, and back to Carlos, and back to Jay, and so on, unbelieving of the situation. "The prick used to go here." He said. "Auradon Prep?" He said again with his arms wide, expressing the whole school.

"He did?" Carlos asked in disbelief.

"No way, like you guys would ever welcome someone that insane." Jay refused with a harsh shake of his head.

"You're here, aren't you?" Chad bit back.

Carlos held Jay back, seeing as how he was about pummel Chad. "Chad," Carlos said, his voice in seriousness that the prince looked him in the eye. "Tell us everything you know about him."

"Evie, do you even know where we're going?" Mal groaned as a branch hit the back of her head.

They had been walking around the woods part of the island for twenty minutes. Yen Sid liked his privacy, and apparently also the creepiness that came from living in the woods. The last time they saw the professor had been in the basement of Evie's old house right there on the Isle. But they knew he wouldn't just stay there forever, but they also knew no one has ever located the guys home.

"Yes, we're going to Neverland." She bit sarcastically.

"Yeah, that or Camelot!" She shouted in anger. "You've been chasing that stupid blue fire since we've stepped foot in the woods." When they had entered the forest, Evie swore she had seen a line of tiny blue fires and that it was telling her where to go. Mal was doubtful and was sure that the girl had been dealing with the chemicals for the smoke bombs closer than she was supposed to. "Was it even really ther-" Mal was about to call her off when she saw dark robes in the distance. "Did you see that?" She hurried in front of her best friend.

"What?" Evie's head swiveled all over the place.

"There! Behind the big oak tree." She pointed.

"Mal, they're all big oak trees." The blue haired girl grumbled.

Mal sighed heavily and took the girls hand. "Come on, blueberry princess!"

At arriving, they both finally did see the professor, bent over a large fire pit in the middle of the forest, farther to the left was his house, which seemed to have been morphed into the trees as well.

"Mal! Evie! What brings you here?" The professor was slightly surprised as if he was expecting the company, just not sure as to whom.

"Professor Yen Sid." The girls greeted in unison. "That wasn't so hard." Evie gasped out, she was out of breath, seeing as how Mal dragged her to the professor.

"The forest is one of the only natural magical places on the island. It lets me know if someone's coming, and whether or not they're allowed to find me." He mutters, the entire time simply placing logs onto the unlit fire pit.

"Allowed to find you?" Mal raised an eyebrow.

Yen Sid looked up at the dragon eyed girl. "The forest can see if you're here with good intentions or bad. It gets confused with other emotions, but ultimately, if you are looking for me, and not to cause me harm, it will lead you to my location."

"The blue fire?" Evie wondered in joy.

"Precisely." The elder nodded. "Though, they weren't fires, Will 'O The Wisps, more likely." He mumbled, going back to the logs on the ground.

"Cool," Mal commented. "But I thought magic didn't work on the Isle."

"Let's just say the old King let me have some security." He playfully winked at the girls.

           "Um, professor?" Evie asked nervously.

"Mm?" He was still focusing on the fire, making sure the flame stayed lit.

"We came looking for you because we need information about Jax Hatter." At that name, the old man stood, looking directly into Evie's eyes. He seemed more attentive than ever, as if ready to run, the girls noticed that. "You took care of him, right?"

Yen Sid looked at the ground, took the logs he had left and threw them on the fire pit with the rest and proceeded to go back to his house. "I don't know anything about that boy, you're wasting your time." He told the girls behind him.

Evie was quick to follow, staying just behind him. "Please, sir, you're the only one around here that would know something about him." She pleaded.

He scoffed at her, "Go to his pirate crew, they know him better. Better than I ever did, at least." His voice held regret resentment, and even a hint of guilt.

"We can't exactly go to them, and as if they would ever tell us anything!" She tried again.

"Not my problem." He shouted from behind.

Before he could reach his house, Mal stood in front of him, her game face on display. "She asked you a question, and we're in a hurry." She glared down at him. "He may not be your problem anymore, but now he's ours. You might as well help us out." She nodded her head over to the benches that surrounded the fire pit.

The professor gave up after that, Mal didn't have to hurt him, just guilt him into helping them. He sat alone on one bench, with the other girls together on opposite sides. He sighed before starting, "He was only eleven when he came to live with me. The boy had gotten himself kicked out of Auradon Prep." The girl's eyes widened slightly at the news. "He is from Wonderland originally," His breath left him momentarily, the memories of his foster son flooding his mind. "He was about nine when he left or kidnapped should I say."

           "Kidnapped?" Mal asked in confusion.

"That's what he called it, yeah. When the King and Queen of Auradon announced that they planned to merge all the lands together, Neverland, Oz, Camelot, they were skeptical of including Wonderland. But they did go to investigate, nonetheless. In their minds, it was chaos beyond belief. Bad memories of magic flooded their brains. They could never agree to bring that type of magic to their new world."

"Type of magic? You mean Wonderland has a different type of magic?" Evie raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I figured you wouldn't know. I might be the Weird Sciences Professor, but I know a thing or two about magic, my dear. Wonderland by itself is untethered magic. It has no affiliation with good or evil. It just is. And with magic being the embodiment of that place, an enchantment that pure, well it can drive anyone out of their minds. It's complete chaos without a learning curve, no right or wrong, nor hero nor villain, it just existed. It wasn't an entity of both, it was an entity of neither."

"It's magic created gateways and portals, soon, people, animals, and objects fell in. The magic mixed with them, taking half the sanity of a human, and giving it to, say a rabbit. What happens to the animal with half a human's thought process? Learns to talk? To dress? To process time and carry a pocket watch with him? And even then, it's only half sane, it's driving himself mad, trying to figure out how he's able to do all that. And that's just one-way Wonderland magic works."

The girls looked at each other in silence before continuing, "And what happened exactly when the King and Queen decided not to include Wonderland?" Mal's voice was hoarse like she was struggling with what to ask.

Yen Sid coughed loudly, "They said they couldn't allow them to mix with 'regular' people, that they should stay apart, for 'the good' of both worlds. The Wonderlanders, they were fine with this, they got used to how they lived, they were okay living life without the royals or faeries or knights, but then something terrible happened. They were going to leave when the Jabberwocky appeared. The Jabberwocky is directly connected with the Wonderland residents through the magic infiltrating their system, and that day, they were agitated, they didn't want to merge worlds either, they didn't like having so many new people around. Wonderland usually has one new person every now and then, so that the magic can invade the person easily. The Jabberwocky caused a commotion, many of the children joined the adults in a battle to keep it away from the visitors. When it was over, the King and Queen decided to only take the children."

"Take the kids? They couldn't do that right? Like you said, it was basically kidnapping." Mal spoke, her jaw down.

"They were the rulers, they didn't answer to anyone. Not even Alice, the ambassador for Wonderland. Hell, they even took her daughter. Trust me, they fought, but they were no match for the king's guards." The girls backed away suddenly in fear. "They didn't kill the Wonderlanders, don't worry, just knocked them out. They said the children deserved to grow up 'in a good environment'. I believe the Royals thought they were doing good, saving children from a terrible childhood. They think that by doing this they can prevent tragedies like Rapunzel's upbringing or Cinderella's mistreatment during her life, they believed they were saving the children."

"The residents who weren't out cold asked if they could go with their child, they were denied the right. The King stated that they would only be a bad influence. And so, they rounded up every child between an infant and seventeen. Jefferson Hatter, Jax's father, he pleaded with the royal majesties to let him join his son. You see, Jefferson's wife, Madeline, died in childbirth, his son was the only happiness he had left in Wonderland. 'Without family, everything else just seems meaningless'. That was what Jax always used to say to me every time I wanted him to do something for himself, to have fun or anything. I always got the same response."

"Oh my God." Evie gasped out. Both girls were staring at the ground, it was just too horrible to think about. Being raised by villains, in a prison like the Isle, it wasn't great, but being taken from the only home you know as a little kid? It was downright cruel, and they know about cruel.

"But there's something else, something that I discovered about the boy too late. Something that's racked my brain for years and will mostly be like this until I finally gather the strength to investigate the Wonderlanders for myself. Something about the boy that made me look at him in a different way."

The girls could tell that he was shaken about this last thing, and it took them a while before finally asking, "What is it?" It was Mal that spoke.

"Jax Hatter always lies."

"If I tell you, can I keep using your 3D printer?" Chad bargained.

Carlos seemed to have growled at the blonde, then sighing in agreement. "Fine."

"Okay, he got here with the other Wonderlandians like seven or eight years ago, give or take. King Beast and Queen Belle brought them here for better opportunities or something. Ah, it took a while to get used to them, but they eventually settled down."

"Settled down?" Jay wondered.

"You know, that whole, Wonderland craze they bring. Rumor has it that the Fairy Godmother scared the living shit outta them to get them to comply, to be more like us." He nodded like he was replaying memories in his head. "Yeah, anyway, it didn't work on Jax, only made him more... mad? He was causing trouble in classrooms, making exploding stink bombs in chem, pulling pranks during ceremonies, parties, and my least favorite: tourney games. Then one day, we didn't see him. Wasn't in class, or his dorm room, or the chemistry lab. He was missing for about a week, then all of a sudden he was sent to the Isle. Lots of rumors went around, how he almost stabbed Ben when they were playing, or he stoles the royal jewels for more experiments, that he was planning to blow us up, there are hundreds of those all over campus. Personally, I think he tried to blow us all up. We used to talk about it more until Ben got fed up with it and said if he heard us spreading more rumors he'd throw us in the dungeons. We didn't take him seriously because, well because it's Ben." The prince shrugged, and the VK's nodded slightly in agreement. "But then he heard Pin talking about it and had him thrown in there, which caused us to stop talking about the incident."

"So he and Ben were friends?" Carlos asked.

"From Ben's point of view, yeah I guess, I don't know how Jax thought of him though, but I don't think it matters anymore." The blonde recalled.

"What makes you say that?" Jay countered.

"I don't know, maybe because it was his parents that sent him to the Isle of the Lost, or maybe it has to do with the fact that the guy has something to do with Ben's capturing," Chad stated the obvious.

Carlos pouted, "He's got a point." He grumbled. "Is there anything else? How he behaved, who he hung out with, other than maybe Ben."

"Nah, he was a major loner, didn't even hang out with the rest of the Wonderland kids. He visited Allie every now and then, but they never hung out together a lot. Teachers tried with him, he laughed at them, and I'm pretty sure he was the one who covered the King Beast statue in broken red hearts." Jay laughed at that. "I will say one thing though, the guy was a fighter. When he first got here, he begged to go back, ran away dozens of times, said that they'd live to regret it."

Carlos held out a hand for him to pause, "Wait so, he didn't come here willingly?"

At that question, Chad was at a loss for words and simply shrugged. "I really don't know, the other kids after a while, they got used to this place, they didn't talk about home anymore. They barely mention Wonderland, actually." Chad looked down in thought (surprisingly).

Carlos nodded to Jay to get his attention, "How much you wanna bet that the Wonderland kids didn't get a say on switching homes?"

"Damn," Jay whispered. "Low blow, royal assholes, low blow."

"Okay, it seems bad, well, terrible, actually. But I mean, they get to live in Auradon, it's great here!" Chad shrugged off quickly. "Have you ever spoken to Nathaniel Knight?" Carlos raised an eyebrow while Jay nodded, "You know, son of the White Knight. Well, he loves it here! He's been on the tourney team for years, is surrounded by cheerleaders most of the time and is practically my best friend, if I do say so myself, we are both so photogenic.". Chad seemed smug with himself after he boasted about his crush.

The boys didn't seem to care anymore, as Carlos looked at Jay and nodded at the door. Jay nodded back. "Time to go, your highness." The long-haired boy said as he pulled Chad by the back of the shirt to throw him outside.

*******

You'd think they'd be against each other. Benjamin, son of the Beast and Belle, the King of Auradon, the most perfect place in the world. And Jackson Hatter, son of a raving, yet loving, lunatic, and taken from his home by the other boy's parents. Surprisingly not, when they met, they had similar ideas as to how the world should work. Stealing other people's kids was a no-no in their minds.

Nine-year-old Ben would go on about how when he was king, he'd get the Wonderland kids back home to where they belong. Nine-year-old Jax loved his thinking and loved the fact that he now had a friend who cared how he felt.

Ten-year-old Ben started to worry about Jax's manic mood swings from time to time and was encouraged by his mother to expand his friend group. Ten-year-old Jax still hadn't adapted into his new home, the opposite, in fact, he slept somewhere new every night, was unpredictable when provoked, and was convinced that his one friend was abandoning him.

Eleven-year-old Ben still cares about his friend, but his parents said they can't send him back, that it wasn't safe in Wonderland. They told him about the place, about what they witnessed, and how they saved the kids that live in Auradon now. Eleven-year-old Jax has been planning. If he didn't have the magic to open a portal back home by himself, he'd need some help. Eleven-year-old Jax plans on stealing Fairy Godmother's Magic Wand. He just wants to go home. Before he goes with his plan, he tries to go the legal way and asks for the final time, if his friend will help him get back home once he is crowned king.

Ben says no. Jax proceeds in drugging the guards at the museum, turning off all alarms, and taking the magic wand. But something goes wrong. The pure Wonderland magic that runs through each of the resident's veins isn't meant to clash with affiliated good magic, Jax is in trouble. Pure chaos magic is basically an infant, it has yet to decide to be good, bad, or both. So what happens when it mixes with good magic?

When Jax tried to open a portal to his homeland, he instead opened the barrier that contains all known villains from The Isle of the Lost. It stayed open for approximately four minutes and twenty-eight seconds as Jax counted. He was caught before the villains could do any real damage. They kept him in the dungeons for a week before deciding to send him to the Isle. They figured, if he was going to break the rules, he doesn't get to have what he wants and go home. No, he'll get treated like a criminal and sent to their jailhouse.

Eleven-year-old Ben gets told that his friend was a bad person and that he had to go with all the other bad people. Eleven-year-old Jax never forgives the boy he thought was his friend for not helping him, for not defending him. Eleven-year-old Jax makes new friends and creates the plan of a lifetime.

Six years pass and the boys meet again.

"How's the kingdom? Good things I hope." He teased, circling the pillar that the king was tied to.

"Jax, I can't believe it's you," Ben said in astonishment.

The alchemist only grinned back, he loved catching people off guard. "Yeah, it surprises you what you can learn from being trapped on an island filled with villains for six years. Ah, long story short?" He chuckled loudly, and then with his thumb pointed to Uma behind him, "I got 'er this boat."

"He did." She confirmed.

"Where would you even get this thing?" Ben was going to get to the important things but just couldn't figure out as to how the boy did it.

"You pick up a few things in the last six years." He shrugged. "What have you been doing? Waltzing lessons? Waving lessons? Oh, wait no, I've got it, looking pretty for the camera lessons. That's it, 'innit?"

"Jax, Uma, look I get that you don't deserve this." He started.

Uma scoffed in disbelief and walked to the tied boy, "This island is a prison, thanks to your father."

"And I understand that you guys don't deserve this." The king reiterated. "Jax should've been sent home, he'd be where he wanted and my parents wouldn't have had to worry. And every single child here shouldn't have had to grow up in this place."

The Hatter began to walk closer to the king, Uma went backward to her original spot, "Then why didn't you fix it?" Jax whispered to the king. "You're king now!" He announced loudly, like a game show host, "You- are- the- king!" He paused in between each shouted word for emphasis which made Ben wince every time.

"You're the friggin king 'round here." His voice was hoarse and low, tired of yelling. "Why didn't you help us? Why didn't you help me?" His sentences got slower. "Why didn't you help them?" Ben knew what he was referring to. The Wonderland kids, the ones he and Jax planned to send home but never did. Jax shook his head no, violently each second. "And don't give me that 'They're doing fine' bullshit." He croaked. "You know damn well what we endured in that perfect palace of purgatory!" Jax's voice grew louder and louder. "You guys outlawed magic for everyone but yourselves, didn't you?! Come on, Benny boy did you really think that someone like Allie could become so docile in less than a month in that place!" He was screaming by that point.

"Wait, how do you know about that? About Allie?" Of course, only Ben would be paying attention to every single word to point out that Jax couldn't have possibly known what's been happening in Auradon. Something wasn't right here.

"That doesn't matter! Look me in the eye, and tell me that separating those families was for the good of the children." He muttered, loudly enough for Ben to hear him. "Do it!"

Ben only gulped. "I can't." His voice withered.

Jax stepped away, nodding his head distractedly. "I know." His eyes were wild.

*******

Now for some fun facts:

- No, Ben and Jax were not a couple and will never be. They had a friendship, Ben's parents were the big guys on top and Jax hated everyone when he was taken to Auradon. They became besties, woohoo. It was like a bad sitcom between two polar opposites.

- The only people Jax personally told about his past was, in order: Ben, Yen Sid, Harry, and Uma. They know his past, but not his plans, not even Harry.

- Mal glaring down Yen Sid for ignoring Evie gave me life. Malvie? They give me life.

- Carlos totally lied to Chad about letting him use his 3D printer.

- Yes, Jax got Uma that boat. I don't know why I added that.

+I just thought to myself that Jax is the type of guy to win a boat during a poker game or a gambling thing, and he was like "Okay, now I have a boat, but I don't need a boat. Hey, Uma! Do you want a boat?" Like that's literally how it happened. They were already a crew, and Uma was straight up the leader, with Jax being the advisor, Harry the first mate, and Gil being their biggest muscle.

- I added my own little spin to the Jabberwocky from the OG Alice in Wonderland stories/movies/appearances in other media.

- Chad Charming's totally gay and you can't convince me otherwise. Also, if the opportunity presented itself, and Jax was single, Chad's pants would drop if he saw how Jax turned out. They'd definitely angry fuck.

- If anyone didn't fully understand the chaos magic that is the entire Wonderland embodiment, let me know and I'll reply with a longer explanation.

- I named Jax's mother 'Madeline' because I thought it'd be cute, Maddy Hatter, the Mad Hatters, idk, I needed a name for her, and I thought about it, and I'm like, "It's perfect!" So yeah.

- Again, Ben and Jax? They're not a couple. If you wanna make a fanfic on them especially, feel free, but let me know.

- Finally, some may notice that a lot the Auradon residents, the King and Queen, and Fairy Godmother and being played out to be the villains in this.

They are 'heroes' who have been scared of evil and villains and unknown magical elements for a long time. They are scared of it, and fear makes people do stupid things. Fear turns into hate, and they get paranoid, and they attack that which they don't understand. They've felt powerless for their earliest lives, and they think that by controlling everything, they'll be fine. That they're doing their future generations, oops descendants, (sorry, I know, I had one job) a favor by getting rid of all things unknown or bad.

Does that excuse their actions? No, most definitely not. But in this story, there are no heroes or villains. Because a person cannot be either good or bad, it's not black and white. It's incomprehensible and excruciatingly grey. Jax even doesn't see himself as either, he just wants justice for his people, so he's doing what he can. Is it the right way? No, not really. Does it get results, however? Yes. And at the end of the day, is it for a good cause? Yeah, damn straight *gay* it is.

The story gets different whenever it is seen from a particular point of view, at the moment, we've seen Jax's, Mal's, Evie's, Carlos's and even Ben's. Soon we'll see more of everyone. The main thing to remember is that from Jax's point of view, he's got it all figured out, he knows what he wants, but he's very secretive, even to the audience.

As for the VK's, their point of views are seen as mainly confused and investigative, they want to know more about why no one talks about the WK's and why they aren't in Wonderland in the first place. For them, it's a mystery and they're very eager to solve it.
