remembering

"Look if it feels too risky, you don't have to do it." Derek told Isaac, the Lahey practically oozing with hesitance.

Isaac looked around at everyone before pulling his shirt off.

Leilani grew stiff, eyes wide as she looked anywhere but him. Carter glanced at her friend in amusement, nudging her,

"Don't make it too obvious."

Isaac's teeth chattered as he got in the water, letting out a breath as he let his body sink in. He could feel kneel beside him before she grasped his hand tightly.

Scott, Stiles and Derek pushed him all the way down.

"Get him back under. Hold him." Deaton sternly told the two werewolves and human.

"We're trying!" Derek shouted back, grip tightening the more Isaac fought back.

As his body grew limp, they began to pull away, eyes turning to Deaton as he spoke,

"Now remember, only Carter talks to him. I'll input if needed but two many voices will confuse him and draw him out." Deaton looked at the Stone, signaling for her to start.

Taking a deep breath, her grip on his hand tightened slightly. Her eyes fluttered shut, doing her best to focus on just Isaac,

"Isaac? Can you hear me?"

"Yes, i can hear you." He vaguely replied.

Leilani and Stiles watch as Carter's hands began to twitch in Isaac's grip, her shoulders slumping,

"This is Carter. I wanna ask you a couple questions. Is that okay?"

"...Yes."

"I want to ask you about the night you found Erica and Boyd. I want you to try and remember it for me in as vivid detail as possible, kind of like you're actually there again."

"I-I don't wanna do that. I don't... Carter, I don't wanna do that. I don't wanna do that." Isaac stuttered, almost in fear.

Deaton took notice of Carter struggling to stay focused, her powers beginning to take over, leaving her to pay more attention to that rather than the task at hand,

"Isaac, it's all right. Just relax. They're just memories. You can't be hurt by a memory." Deaton reassured the boy.

"I don't wanna do that."

"It's all right." Deaton tried.

Isaac's body moved slightly, water spilling over the side of the tub at his movements, "I don't wanna to that."

"Relax. Relax. Good. Now let's go back to that night. To the place you found Erica and Boyd. Can you tell me what you see? Is there some kind of building? A house?" The older man asked.

Stiles' eyes narrowed in on Carter's bleeding nose. As he went to say something, Leilani softly tugged on his arm to stop him from possibly causing pain to both teens.

"It's not... it's not a house..." Isaac started,

"It's stone. Possibly marble." Everyone's attention snapped to Carter who seemed to be in a trance. Her eyes were wide and now open, glowing a bright violet color.

Deaton came to the conclusion that she had access to his memories. Instead of mentioning it, he continued with the questions,

"Good. That's perfect. Can either of you give me any other descriptors?"

"It's dusty, really empty... like an abandoned building." Carter spoke for him.

Isaac suddenly jerked in the water, sending shiver of worry down their spines.

Scott's focus is on both supernaturals, though mainly Carter who he's noticed is currently bleeding from not just her nose but her ears. He wondered if they should possibly stop, remembering that the girl didn't have full control over her powers.

He is proven right when the lights began to flicker the more Isaac panics.

"Isaac! Isaac?" Deaton tried.

"Someone's here. Someone's here." The Lahey's voice cracked, voice full of fear.

"Just memories. You won't be hurt by your memories. Just relax. Relax." They watched him do as told, his hold on Carter's hand loosening a bit, "Good. Now tell us what you see. Tell us everything."

Leilani lets out a sigh of relief as the lights stopped flickering, knowing her friend can go a little longer but not too long. She's worried she'll use up too much of her energy if she doesn't stop soon. But she also knew that Carter would beat herself up if they didn't get any information.

"I hear him. He's talking about the full moon, about being out of control when the moon rises." Isaac said, Boyd's voice echoing through his and Carter's ears.

"Is he talking to Erica?" Deaton asked, looking between the two.

"I can't tell. I can't see her. I can't see either of them."

"Can you hear anything else?"

"They're worried. They're worried what they'll do during the moon. They're worried that they're gonna hurt each other." Isaac said, grip growing stronger on the witch's hand but it didn't seem like she could tell.

"If they're locked in there together on the full moon, they're gonna tear each other apart." The sound of Derek's voice caused Carter to whimper softly.

Scott looking at the man with an annoyed face, one that also told him to be quiet.

"Isaac, Carter, we need to find them right now. Can you two see them?" Deaton ushered out.

"No." They say in unison.

If they weren't in such a situation, Leilani would have made a joke about those creepy twins.

"Do you know what kind of room it is? Is there any kind of a marker? A number on a door? A sign?"

"They're here. They... They..." Issac stuttered

"It's all right." Deaton tried convincing him, but Isaac was not having it.

"No."

"Just tell us..." Deaton is cut off by Carter finally speaking,

"They found him. They're here." Stiles looked at the girl in worry, scared of what would happen if she didn't stop soon. The blood from her nose had leaked to the floor long ago, it was only a matter of time before the redness from her ears touched the shirt she was wearing.

"This isn't working. Isaac, where are you?" Derek nearly yelled at the Lahey, leading to Carter eyes glowing brighter, her voice coming out soft as she mumbled under her breath.

Even with werewolf hearing, Leilani couldn't seem to decipher what her friend is saying.

"I can't see them. It's too dark!" Isaac spoke loudly.

"Just tell me where you are." Derek demanded.

"You are confusing him." Leilani whispered to the older man, eyes narrowed in on Carter's lips as she seemed to be speaking faster.

"I can't see!" Isaac shouted.

"Isaac, where are you? Carter, tell me where you are." Derek said, getting up while shaking the blondes shoulders, her brows furrowing in what looks like concentration.

"His heart rate... he could go into shock. Him going into shock could result in Carter doing the same." Deaton tried telling the werewolf.

Scott, finally having enough of the Hale, decided to step in, "Derek, let them go!"

Before he can step in, Derek is flung across the room by an invisible force.

"A vault! It's a bank vault! I saw it!" Isaac jumped up, gasping for air, "I saw the name. It's, uh... B-beacon hills first national bank. It's, um... it's an abandoned bank, and they're keeping them locked inside, inside the vault."

Once he finished, Isaac glanced around to see them staring at himself and the nearly unconscious witch, who practically saved him, with wide eyes.

"You don't remember what you said right before you came out of it, do you?" Leilani asked Isaac while helping her friend who had yet to move on her own.

"No." He muttered lowly, though everyone still heard him.

"You said when they captured you that they dragged you into a room and that there was a body in it."

"What body?" He frowned.

"Erica. You said it was Erica." Stiles spoke with a sorrowful look.

"I'd be very helpful if you stopped moving." Stiles told Carter as he tried to wipe the blood off her nose and ears.

"It's be very helpful if it didn't tickle." The blonde scoffed out.

"Everyone's waiting for us, so if you could please stay still."

"I could've cleaned myself up, you didn't have to offer your services."

"I'm trying to help." She could tell he was beginning to grow annoyed.

"Leilani could have helped me. In fact, Scott could've helped me. Maybe i don't want your help." She crossed her arms over her chest, moving her head as he tried to put the towel near her.

Having enough of her and her comments, Stiles gripped her chin, not enough to hurt her but enough for her stay still as her wipe the side of her face with the towel Deaton provided for them.

Carter looked into his golden brown eyes, her heartbeat increasing slightly, her tense shoulders dropping as she lets him do what he needed.

In the other room, Leilani looked at Scott with raised brows seeing as they were the only two who knew about Stiles' crush on the girl.

That and the fact that they were the only ones who cared to listen in on the conversation happening between them. But hearing it gets silent they both immediately knew Stiles took control of whatever dumb argument was happening in the first place.

Their thoughts are cut off by Derek's loud voice. "She's not dead."

"Well she's not alive." Leilani shrugged at the man just as the door opened revealing a clearly agitated Carter and an almost equally annoyed Stiles.

"Derek, he said, 'there's a body, it's Erica'. That's doesn't exactly leave much room for interpretation." The Stilinski boy said.

"Then who was in the vault with Boyd?" Derek questioned, still not grasping the fact that his beta could be gone.

Leilani looked over at the man with narrowed eyes, "Someone else...obviously. Are you really that dense?"

Before Derek could get even more worked up by her words, Scott stepped in,

"And maybe it was the girl on the motorcycle. Okay, the one who saved you?" He said, looking towards a still shivering Isaac.

The boy shook his head in disagreement, "No, she wasn't like us. Whoever was in the vault with Boyd was."

"What if that's how Erica died?" Leilani asked.

"They, like, pit them against each other during the full moons and see which one survives. It's like werewolf thunderdome." Stiles expressed, his words caused Carter's eyes to widen.

"That actually sounds really cool. I wonder if—"

Her words are cut off by an angry Derek. "We get them out tonight."

"Be smart about this, Derek. You can't just go storming in." Deaton instantly shut him down.

"If Isaac got in, then so can we." The two girl in the room could help but roll their eyes. One on annoyance and the other is amusement.

Leilani was annoyed at the fact that Derek seemed to think that he can do anything as good as the next guy. As if it didn't cause Isaac damage when he got himself in the vault. If she didn't have any self control she would've voiced how they wouldn't be in this situation if he'd kept the teenagers away from Alpha Pack rather than bringing them to help.

Meanwhile, Carter's eyes rolled in amusement due to the fact that she knows whatever plan they come up with will have a few issues along the way. And with her being Derek's main source of help, yet having no energy to do anything, she won't be able to help like she knows he's expecting her to.

So all she'll have to do is watch as his plan backfires.

The girls are snapped back to reality when they hear Stiles telling everyone how it'll only take minutes before they can actually start planning.

Leilani and Carter look at each other, having a silent conversation, they might not be able to help or just might now want to get involved, but there's no harm in watching their failure.
