"Why are home so early?" Carter heard, her movements freezing quickly. Maybe if she didn't move, he wouldn't see her.
"Even if you don't move I'll still see you." Nicholas Stone said to his daughter, entering the room.
The girl sighed, walking towards her dad with a small smile on her face, "Whose to say I didn't miss my amazing father and wanted to come home early to tell him how much I missed him?"
"You very well could have texted me about how much you missed me." Nick hummed, gesturing for her to follow him. He gently pushing his daughter into a chair, moving around to grab a few books from under the counter.
Carter sighed, "Fine. You caught me—"
"Did I?"
"You did. But it's not my fault. I've been feeling really off lately."
The blonde watches her father furrow his brows.
"How so?" He asked, lifting her hands onto the table.
"You know Lydia Martin, right?"
"That girl you hate?" He asked for confirmation.
"Yeah."
"I've heard of her."
"Recently, I haven't been able to hate her. And for some reason, when I'm away from her, it feels weird." She explained, "Not like, 'i have a crush', kind of weird,
but more so in a 'if i'm not around her my powers go crazy', kind of weird. You know what I mean?"
Nick stared into her daughter's glowing eyes curiously, "Yeah, I think I see what you mean." He noticed how the color was a darker purple than it usually was.
"And don't even get me started on the whole Stilinski thing."
Nick knew all about the Stilinski family. Hell, he's best friends with the sheriff.
However, he wasn't very happy to hear about his daughter hanging around the youngest Stilinski. It's not that he didn't like Stiles, he just knew how, oh so extremely, curious the teen was. So, when Leilani and Carter came home one day talk g shout how Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski found out about their abilities, he wasn't too happy, or surprised.
He wanted to blame it on how mosey Stiles could get, but it didn't come as a shock to him when it was revealed that Jessica was the one to spill their secret.
If it were up to him, Jessica, Stiles and Scott would be permanently banned from being around his daughters, unfortunately it wasn't.
"What Stilinski thing?"
"The kid has been following me around everywhere." She started, shaking her head as she muttered, "And I don't hate it."
Nick smiled softly at his daughter. He, like many others, knew all about Stiles' crush on the girl. And although it was Jessica that verbally told him, Stiles wasn't too discreet with his liking for the blonde. Along with that, there were the talks Nick and Noah had during their lunch breaks about their kids, and the Stilinski man had no problem ratting out his son.
A sharp gasp from Carter snapped Nick out of his thoughts, "Oh my god! Dad!"
"What?" The man breathed out, eyes wide as his brows furrowed in confusion.
"I think I like this guy."
The look of horror on her face amused Nick. She, no doubt, got her dramatics from her mother. He couldn't help but play along, mocking her 'scared' expression,
"Oh god, honey, that's horrible. What ever shall you do?"
"I know you're being sarcastic but I don't care. Jess and Lani are never gonna let me this down." She looked at her dad, "You better not say anything."
The man lifted his hands in air to mock defense before pretending to zip his lips shut. "My lips are sealed."
He snapped his fingers to the book in front of her, focusing on the task at hand, "Now pay attention. You wanna come home early, you're gonna practice all day."

Leilani roamed the halls with Isaac and Scott, her mind focused on leaning school. She listened in faintly on the boy's conversation, only putting in her opinion every now and again.
"Yeah, I wish I could have seen their faces. They look seriously pissed?"
"Yeah." Scott chuckled, stopping in his tracks as he looked forward, "Kinda like that."
Leilani followed his gaze, an unexpected laugh falling from her lips, "You two look a mess."
Before either of them could get another word in, the twins began to strip themselves of their shirts, wasting no time in forcing themselves into one big version of themselves.
Isaac readied his stance, his voice more confident than ever, "We can take him."
Leilani and Scott shared matching looks of disbelief, "No, we can't."
"Are you kidding me?" Scott's voice rose as he and Leilani ran in the opposite direction.
"Isaac!"

"This is just one of many possibilities. He could have simply left for the day." Deaton suggested with a shrug.
"Yeah, well... Not without this." Stiles reached for the man's briefcase as he spoke.
Deaton scrunched his brows at the frown that made its way onto Stiles' fade, "What?"
"This test is graded 'R'."
Lydia read through the stack of papers, "This one's an 'H'."
"Stiles, you remember I told you 'druid' is the Gaelic word for 'wise oak' ?" Deaton asked the boy, earning a nod of remembrance,
"Yeah."
"If a druid went down the wrong path, the wise oak was sometimes said to have become a dark oak. There's a Gaelic word for that as well... Darach." Deaton said, turning to fully face the Stilinski, "Call Carter."

Leilani and Carter sat in the Stone girls bedroom, listening to Jessica go on about Allison Arbent and how the two are now officially dating.
They've slowly grown accept that Allison wasn't as horrible of a person as they thought. And even if they didn't, Jessica liked her and she made their friend happy. It had been a while since either of them have seen the Stewart girl's eyes light about anything that didn't pertain to them.
"And I know it's really weird but I feel like i've know her forever, you know?" Jessica finished her rambling, looking at the two expectantly.
"Yeah. Yeah, i know exactly what you mean." Carter said, absentmindedly. Jessica smiled over at her friend before turning to Leilani for her response.
"Uh- yeah, sure. I don't really know what we were talking about." Leilani spoke honestly, causing Jessica to sigh before she went on to ramble, again about the Argent female.
Though she is quickly cut off by the sound of Carter's gasp.

"Please! Don't do this!" Mr. Harris pleaded to an unknown figure. "I did what you asked. I did everything! They... they'll figure this out! And they're gonna find you. You still need me!"
No more words are heard before a garrote is wrapped around his neck and his body falling limp against the tree within a few seconds.
Carter?

Carter sucked in a deep breath, her eyes locked on her father's as stared at him. Though her eyes were on him, it was clear that her mind was somewhere else. It didn't even look like she knew he was there.
Leilani and Jessica stood off to the side, the dirty blonde comforting the brunette. It is then that she realized the tears that were rushing down her friend's face.
"Carter, what happened?" Nick asked, dragging her attention back to him, his voice full of concern. He held his arms out in front of him, his hands holding her shoulders to keep her facing him.
"Mr. Harris is dead."
