"It's a good day for flying --- don't you think, y/n?" Carol asked you as you both looked up at the sky with your gear in your hand. 

"It's always a good day to be flying sis," you told her as you nudge her shoulder with a wide smile. 

A laugh escapes Carol's mouth as she bumps her shoulder back to you, which causes both of you to fall into a fit of laughter. 

"You two ready?" Carol's and your's best friend Maria asked as she gave the two of you a wide smile. 

"More than ever," Carol said as she looked at you before wrapping her arms around your shoulder as she gave you a squeeze. 

"Girls!" You hear Doctor Lawson say as she approached the three of you with her gear in hand.

"Hey, Doc!" You said as you gave her a wide smile as well. 

"Ready to make history up there?" Lawson said as she pointed up to the sky with a wide smile. 

"Hell yeah! Time to prove these no-do-gooders who the bosses around here are," Maria said as she looked at Lawson with a smirk. 

"Then let's get rolling," Lawson said as she started making her way towards the ship both you and Carol are going to pilot together. 

You get into your co-pilot cockpit and stationed yourself for taking off. 

Once everyone was stationed in their designated place, you hear Maria over the intercom. 

"This is Lady Pegasus, ready for taking off over." She said. 

"This is Captian Pegasus, ready for taking off over," Carol said as she started to flip switches around the cockpit and with you checking all the things to make sure the flight will go smoothly. 

"Alright, let's make this one hell of a flight," Carol said with a smirk that caused you and Maria to let out a triumphant scream. 

Before you knew you it, you are flying up into the sky. Flying higher than ever before, y/n lets out a squeal of happiness as they finally exited out of Earth's atmosphere. This caused Lawson and Carol to let out a small laugh at y/n's glee. 

"Alright, Carol punch in the coordinates," Lawson said as she looked around her surroundings. 

As the plane floated along, something hits the plane causing everyone to become alert. 

"What was that?" y/n said as she looked around for any threat. 

"Nothing's showing up on the radar," Carol said as she eyed the radar for any sign of threating ship. 

"They're here," Lawson said with fear indicated in her voice. 

"Who's here?" y/n asked as she looked behind her to look at Lawson who has a scared look on her face. 

"Hurry girls, we can't have them get the core," Lawson said which encouraged the Danver sisters to get into work. 

As they set to take off, a blast hits them from behind which causes Lawson to look behind her and see a speeding ship heading their way. "SET INTO GEAR NOW!" Lawson yelled out. 

y/n jumps slightly as she and Carol set the plane into full drive just in time before the ship ran into them but late enough that the ship shot at one of their wings causing them to start turning around in fast circles. 

"Come on, come on don't fail on me now," Carol muttered said as she tried to take control of the spins. 

Once she took control she started to make way for Earth once again before things got worse. As the plane started to enter Earth's atmosphere, so did the ship attacking them. 

The attacking ship took its opportunity to shot at the failing ship ahead of it. The blast from the attacking ship hit directly into the soft spot of the plane causing the girls to fully lose control of the ship and having it crash land into an island surrounded by a lake. 

"HANG ON!" Carol yells out causing everyone to hold onto something tightly as they crashed onto the island. 

Once the remains of the plane crashed, Carol was quick to get out and help her sister and Doctor Lawson.

"Hey, hey Doc come on. I need to you to get out of here," Carol said as she started to take of the restraints from Lawson's body.

"y/n, help me take her our of here!" Carol said as she looked over her shoulder to her sister.

Running over to the two, you are quick to help Carol pull Lawson out from her seat and gently place her in a sitting position.

"There's something you girl should know," Lawson said as she drew in quick breaths.

Lawson reaches into her jacket and pulls out a gun that didn't look familiar to the girls at all.

"Help me up," Lawson said as she took out her hands for the sisters to help her stand up.

Once she was on her feet she looked at the girls before looking straight ahead. "There's something you should know before-"

She was cut off by a shot that shot directly to her left side of her chest.

"Lawson!" The girls cried out.

They both went down next to Lawson trying to aid to her every need.

"I'm not from around here," Lawson coughed out.

"I would say so, your blood is blue," Carol said with a small laugh that caused y/n and Lawson to laugh.

"I'm a Kree --- my actual name is Mar-Vell." Lawson said slowly as she looked straight ahead.

"You're going to be okay, we're getting help for you," you said as you started to feel tears build up in your eyes.

"It's my time to go," Lawson said as she started to cough up blood. "Protect the energy core," Lawson said a she looked at the two of you.

Lawson breathes in deeply but nothing comes out any more, letting the two of you know she was already gone.

Feeling her anger get the best of her, Carol get the gun from Lawson's hand and stand up, pointing it at the accusing person.

"SHOW YOURSELF!" Carol said as she looked around for who killed Lawson.

Everything went into slow motion for y/n when she saw Carol fly back from the shot that hit her in the same spot as Lawson.

"CAROL!" y/n screams out as she runs over to Carol's body.

"No, no, no, not you too," y/n choked put as heavy tears fell from her eyes as she put pressure on the wound that kept oozing blood.

"I'm okay --- y/n I'm okay." Carol choked out as she gabe her younger sister a small smile.

"You're bleeding out, how are you okay?" y/n cried out as she looked at her sister with more tears falling from her eyes.

"I love you," Carol said as she put her hand on y/n's cheek.

"I love you too, but you're going to make it you're not saying goodbye just yet," y/n said as she took hold of Carol's hand while the other still held pressure onto the wound.

Carol send her one last wide smile before she closed her eyes and stopped breathing.

"Carol?" y/n called out as she looked down at Carol's sleeping form.

"Carol!?" y/n said as she shook her slightly.

"NO!" y/n screamed out as she held tightly onto Carol's body.

y/n gently placed Carol's body down onto the floor before she took hold of the gun out of Carol's hand.

y/n got up and turned around to look the person responsible for killing the people she cared for.

"You just killed the two most important people in my life. For what the energy core!?" You yelled out as you pointed the gun at the man that is taking small steps towards you and the ship.

"They were standing in the way what I needed and it seems to are too," the man said as he pointed his gun towards you.

"Then I guess you won't be needed the core," you said as you pointed the gun towards the energy core and shot at it.

"NO!" The man screamed out as he saw y/n  shot at the core that sent them noth flying back.

As the blast hit y/n, she felt as if shock of energy waves flow through her before she fell to the grown where everything turned black.

The man got up and looked at y/n who has flashes of energy coursing through her body.

His eyes widen as he moves over to her side and he started to look around the area.

"Anything sir!?" Someone called out to him.

"Yeah --- were taking her back with us!" He yelled back.

He looked down and say a broken doggie tagg with the only word "Vers" on it.

"You absorb the core energy --- you are going to be a great asset to us," the man said with a smirk as he picked up the unconscious girl.
