"So, someone wanna play rock, paper, scissors?" I asked.

"Aw, you're so cute, yes!" Hae Won said, hugging me.

"You two are so babyish," Changbin said, rolling his eyes.

"Bleh, you are so cold. If you don't wanna play, then don't, you old uncle," she said, sticking her tongue out at him.

I chuckled at her.

"Rock, paper, or scissors?" she said, launching scissors while I chose rock.

"Yay, I won!" I smiled.

We continued playing a little longer, then I got hungry.

"Uh, I'm kinda hungry. Wanna eat something?" Hae Won asked.

"Yeah, sure," I said.

Then she turned to Minho beside us.

"Yeah, me too," he smiled.

She brought us some fruit salad.

"I love mango," said Minho.

"Ew, I hate mango," said Hae Won. Then she picked the mango pieces from her salad and placed them carefully in his bowl.

"There you go," she smiled and continued eating.

He looked surprised because she was acting so close already. Then he just blushed and smiled.

I ate my fruit salad peacefully, though my mind wandered. How can Hae Won trust people so quickly? That guy just shot her friend, and she's already being all caring, cute, and trusting with him. Actually, with all of us. We just met a few days ago, and we already act like longtime friends. I guess it's helping us get closer and build trust with each other. I'm way more comfortable now. Only Hyunjin is a bit... uh... intimidating. He's kind of overprotective, but he's cool.

Minho was chatting with Seungmin and Channie when I noticed Felix talking to Hyunjin whileย  looking at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked, coming closer to them

"Nothing, just thinking. Is that Lee dude reliable? In this situation, trust comes first," Felix said, glancing at Minho.

I took a moment to think. It wasn't an accident, him shooting Hyunjin. I saw it. But he was scared and alone in the middle of the apocalypse. I understand. Out of the blue, some people come out, then two more come, I would shoot if I were him. I trust him.

"I trust him," I said. "Come on, let's talk to him so we can get to know each other."

"Sure," Hyunjin smiled.

We walked over to sit beside Minho.

"So...uh...sorry about that," he said, gesturing to Hyunjin's shoulder.

"Nah, it's fine. You're cool," Hyunjin shrugged.

"Glad to know you both are getting closer. Now, Lee, how was your life before this?" I asked, leaning in to hear better.

"Well..." Minho started, his eyes distant as he recalled his past. "I was a dancer. Spent most of my time at the studio, working on choreography. I had a pretty normal life, I guess. Friends, family, the usual. Then everything changed so fast."

"Sounds tough," Hyunjin said, his tone more understanding now. "We all had to leave a lot behind."

"Yeah," Minho nodded. "But finding a group like this makes it a bit easier."

I was watching them from afar. I can't get over it. That guy SHOT Hyunjin. I mean, no offense, but WHAT THE HELL?

"Hey, Chan, I still don't trust that guy. I mean, he shoโ€”"

"Felix, I understand. You've been whining about it for a while now. Let's just try to trust him. He was probably scared," Chan reassured me, then went to the kitchen to chat with Changbin.

"Ugh, I can't believe this," I groaned and went to my room.

"Wait," Hae Won called out.

"We need to see where everyone will sleep," she finished.

"Right," said Changbin.

"I can share with Hyunjin and Felix, Hae Won with Jeongin, and Lee guy sleeps alone," Seungmin suggested.

"Hey, why will Hae Won sleep with Jeongin and not me?" Hyunjin asked, turning to Seungmin.

"Because we're the maknaes," Hae Won smiled and pulled the slightly older boy towards the room.

"Not fair," Hyunjin whined.

The others chuckled

Hyunjin's whining echoed through the room as we made our way to the sleeping quarters. The atmosphere lightened with the sound of laughter, a rare moment of levity amidst our constant struggle for survival.

"Don't be such a baby, Hyunjin," I teased, playfully sticking my tongue out at him.

Hyunjin huffed but couldn't hide the small smile tugging at his lips. "You're just saying that because you get to cuddle with Jeongin."

Jeongin blushed beside me, and I laughed hard.

"Okay, Changbin and I will go to our room. Stay safe, and just shout if something happens," Chan said.

"Okay, don't worry, Mommmmm," I joked smiling and earning lots of laughs.

"Night night, Binnie," I waved.

They went into their rooms, and everybody took turns bathing.

"Let's chat before going to sleep," Seungmin suggested.

I cuddled on Jeongin's lap, wrapping a warm blanket over us as he hugged my shoulders and placed his head on my shoulder.

"Cute baby cuddling moment," Lee Know squealed, squishing both our cheeks.

Everybody chuckled lightly.

"Well, Lee Know, what's your age again?" Seungmin asked.

"I'm 18," he replied.

"Old" I stated, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

"Tell us more about you," Hyunjin said.

"Well, I was a dancer, had no siblings, my mom and dad live in Hyosan. I hate K-dramas but I like 'All of Us Are Dead,' the series. My favorite song is 'One of the Girls,' by The Weeknd and Jennie. My best friend is Han, but he's not here," his smile faded on the last part.

I quickly hugged him. "It's okay, we can go look for him."

"I don't know if he's alive," he said, looking down.

"We can try," I shrugged.

"My turn," Seungmin said, breaking the silence.

We all turned our attention to him.

"Well, before all this happened, I was a student. Just an ordinary high school student trying to get through the days. My mom and dad live in Seoul. I have a younger sister who's probably with them right now," he said with a nostalgic smile.

"My favorite movie is 'The Pursuit of Happyness.' It always gives me hope, even in times like these. As for my favorite series, it's 'Friends.' It never fails to make me laugh," Seungmin continued.

"And my favorite song... it has to be 'You Were Beautiful' by Day6. It's a song that I can listen to over and over again without getting tired of it."

"That's a great song," I said, nodding in agreement.

"Thanks, Wonnie," Seungmin replied with a smile.

"Okay, who's next?" Seungmin asked, looking around the room

"Me," Hyunjin said, drawing everyone's attention.

"Alright, let's hear it, Hyunjinie," I encouraged, smiling at him.

"Well, I used to be an art student. Loved painting and sketching, anything that let me express myself. My mom and dad are in Busan, and I have an older brother. We didn't always get along, but I hope he's okay," Hyunjin started, his voice steady.

"I've always been into action movies, especially ones with good fight scenes. My favorite movie is 'John Wick.' And as for series, I really enjoyed 'Narcos.' The storytelling and characters were just so gripping, I loved when we watched it together, Bambi" he continued.

"I loved it too." I smiled lightly, hugging him.

"And my favorite song... it's 'I Smile' by Day6. It always manages to lift my spirits, no matter how tough things get," he finished, glancing around at us.

"That's a good choice," Lee Know commented, nodding in approval.

"Yeah, Day6 has some great songs," Jeongin agreed, his voice warm.

We sat in a comfortable silence for a moment, each of us lost in our own thoughts.

"It's good to get to know more about each other," I said, breaking the silence. "It makes this whole situation a little bit easier."

"Agreed," Seungmin said, smiling at me.

"Okay, my turn," Felix chimed in.

"Go ahead, Lixie," I said, turning to him.

"I used to bake a lot. You all know that," Felix began, chuckling. "But I also loved photography. Capturing moments, you know? My parents are in Australia, and I have an older sister. I miss them a lot."

"My favorite movie is 'The Greatest Showman.' The music, the story, it's all so inspiring. And my favorite series is 'Stranger Things.' The mix of sci-fi and horror is just perfect," he continued.

"Oh my gosh, that's my favorite series too!" I exclaimed, turning to Felix with a big smile.

"No way! We'll have to rewatch it together sometime," Felix said, his eyes lighting up.

"And my favorite song is 'Sunflower' by Post Malone. It always puts me in a good mood," he finished with a smile.

"Nice choice, Felix," Seungmin said, nodding.

"Okay, Jeongin, your turn," I said, nudging him.

"Alright," Jeongin said, a bit shyly. "I was still in school, like Hae Won. I enjoyed playing games and hanging out with friends. My parents are in Yangsan, and I'm an only child. It gets lonely sometimes."

"My favorite movie is 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.' The animation is amazing. And for series, I really like 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine.' It's hilarious," he continued.

"My favorite song is 'Love Scenario' by iKON. It's catchy and has a great beat," he finished.

"Good choice, Innie," Hyunjin said, smiling.

"Alright, Hae Won, you're up," Seungmin said, looking at me.

"Okay," I began, taking a deep breath. "I was still in school, too. I loved spending time listening to music and hanging out with my friends at the arcade. My mom and I live in Seoul. My favorite movie is 'Guardians of the Galaxie' It's incredible. My favorite series is also 'Stranger Things.' It's just so gripping and has such an incredible storyline."

"Nice, we should all watch it together sometime," Lee Know suggested.

"And my favorite song is Melting" I finished.

"That's a great song," Felix said, smiling at me.

"Thanks," I replied, smiling back.

We all sat in a comfortable silence, feeling a bit closer to each other.

"We should get another girl to join the group. It would be so cool" I said

"Yeah, I think so too."

I woke up with Hae Won's head resting on my chest. I gently pushed her off so I could get up. She looked so cute and peaceful. Hyunjin and Seungmin were already awake, whispering quietly.

"Morning," I said, coming closer.

"Morning, Innie," they both smiled.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, sitting beside them.

"Just reorganizing patrols," Seungmin replied with a smile.

I noticed a drawing hanging on the edge of the table and grabbed it to take a closer look.

"It's beautiful. Did you draw this?" I asked Hyunjin.

"Uh, yeah," he replied, slightly embarrassed.

The drawing depicted everyone in the room: me, Hae Won, Lee Know, Felix, Seungmin, and himself.

"You drew everybody! It's amazing," I exclaimed, smiling.

"Thanks," he said, blushing.

I stirred awake, feeling the warmth of Jeongin's absence. I sat up and stretched, catching a glimpse of the guys huddled together, Hyunjin's drawing now in Jeongin's hands.

"Morning, everyone," I greeted, smiling as I walked over to join them.

"Morning, Hae Won," they chorused back.

I looked at the drawing and gasped. "Hyunjin, this is incredible! You captured everyone so well."

Hyunjin blushed deeper, scratching the back of his neck. "Thanks, I just... like drawing, I guess."

"We should hang this up somewhere," I suggested. "It's too good to keep hidden."

"Agreed," Felix said, appearing from the kitchen with a cup of coffee. "Maybe we can make a gallery of Hyunjin's artwork."

"That's a great idea," Seungmin said, patting Hyunjin on the back.

Hyunjin smiled shyly, clearly pleased with the praise. "I'll draw more, then."

Jeongin nudged me playfully. "We need to make sure we give him good subjects to draw, right?"

"Absolutely," I said, grinning.

Felix sat down with us, looking thoughtful. "Hey, Hae Won, about what we talked about last night..."

"Yeah?" I replied, curious.

"We should really try to find another girl for the group. You sound lonely here, just guys," he whispered.

I chuckled warmly. "We definitely should. It's a bit too much testosterone sometimes."

Everyone laughed, easing into the new day with a sense of camaraderie. We might be facing the apocalypse, but at least we had each other.
