𝐕

"Evening Hank. We were starting to think you weren't going to show" a man came out as the girl was watching Connor from the corner of her eye. He intrigued her and yet she couldn't figure out why. "Yeah, that was the plan till this asshole and my daughter found me" Hank groaned. Aspin perked up at Hank mentioning her as the man smiled at Aspin, "Aspin it's been a long time you've grown so big". She smiled and gave him a massive hug, "It has been you're still as old as ever" she teased as he rolled his eyes at her. "So.... you got yourself an android, huh?" He teased Hank, earning an eye roll from him. "Very funny, just tell me what happened" Hank groaned as they started walking inside. Aspin decided to stay outside, the smell was nauseating, and she was worried at any moment she would hunch over and lose anything left in her stomach.

Connor followed close behind Hank but took a small glance over at Aspin as she viewed the area. Her eyes took hold of a necklace laying near the trash can. It was silver with a heart locket attached and a picture of a couple inside. It was old and rusted but it exactly resembled the necklace she had from Stephen...the one she once cherished.

"My god Stephen it's beautiful, what's the special occasion?" The blonde giggled twirling around in her dress with the necklace placed beautifully. It was silver with a heart locket attached, inside was a picture of Stephen and Aspin from their carnival. It was their first date, and it was a day to remember for Aspin. "Nothing honestly, I just wanted to spoil you. You deserve the world Aspin" Stephen kissed her hand trailing up her arm slowly causing a shiver to go down her body. "So do you Stephen, more than anything" She smiled as he kissed her lips slowly as it turned into a hungry make out session. He grabbed her hand softly and dragged her up the stairs into their bedroom as the door slammed shut.

"Asp!" Someone yelled in front of her as she looked up, seeing Hank slightly concerned. "Sorry I am just extremely tired." Hank wasn't convinced but brushed it off for the time being. Connor was confused about the situation but deep down he felt something inside him he has never felt before. "Let's get you home, you got work" Hank smiled trying to drag the girl along. "Wait did you guys figure out the case?" She raised her eyebrow. The ride home was spent with Hank explaining the situation and Aspin being completely blown away. The car pulled up to a small but comfortable home as the girl grabbed her stuff and got out. "Connor, is there any way you can accompany me tonight?" She was nervous to ask and twiddled her fingers. In honesty every night she has nightmares and having Connor around could be reassuring. He grew on her and she tried to deny it until now. "Yes of course" he said, getting out as Hank raised his eyebrow in confusion but a small smirk appeared on his face. "Shut it, get home safe Hank! No more drinking!" Aspin smiled, running to the door as the rain picked up again. Hank flipped her off and drove off as she rolled her eyes and let Connor into her home.
