Prince Maegor Targaryen was the only son between king Aegon and his sister wife Queen Visenya. Prince Maegor was everything a king should be, but for his own tragedy he was a second son. His eldest brother Aenys was given everything without asking while Maegor had to earn it. Aenys was the heir, he was going to be the next king after his father. When the king and his wives were looking for a bride to match his status they came across their niece. Princess Maellerys Targaryen who was their brother's, prince Aelor's only daughter with lady Baellerys Velaryon. She was like Visenya in most ways but when needed to be she was the perfect lady. Visenya saw Maellerys strength and fury in those lilac eyes. She thought she would be a better fit for Maegor who loved sword fighting and such.

Maellerys father, sought to give his wife's niece, Alyssa as the future wife to Aenys. Alyssa was more like Aenys, calm and collected, while Maellerys could be like that as well but, she choose to be free and chaotic. Aegon had told her parents that she could meet her sons first but Maegor was on the other side of the world exploring and although his mother tried to get him home as soon as possible he arrived too late, Aenys had already asked for her hand in marriage and she had accepted. She was gonna be the queen.

Queen Rhaenys had asked one thing from Maellerys, to protect her son from any harm. Maellerys made the promise and when Maegor return the couple was married and with three children. Prince Aegon was born first, alongside him his twin, princess Rhaena. He was King Aegon's pride. He was the pride of the entire family. But, princess Rhaena was the joy of the family. Prince Viserys came next. He was born two years after his eldest siblings. Maellerys, after birthing three children still look as thin as a young maiden of ten and five summers old, some said she looked even better. The writers and poets wrote: "she had a glow to her that even after her first pregnancy never left her. Even as she grew older, it was as if she didn't age one bit" and that was no lie.

Prince Maegor didn't expect his brother to actually be married off. He truly believed his mother wanted to trick him into coming home so he could be married off. Maellerys was nothing like the ladies at court. Even as the future queen she was happy to train and ride her dragon every chance she got. Prince Maegor spent a lot of time watching his brother's wife. She was one for very little words when it came to him. They did not see eye to eye in some matters. She kept her distance but nothing that made the people wonder if they liked each other or not. Time passed and Maegor became obsessed with her. Perhaps it was the love they shared for the battlefield, or sword fighting. Her children grew as the time passed and she grew to love her husband, Rhaenys often said that the two would be great rulers because while her husband was soft and kind she was strong minded and very opinionated and the realm with have a king and queen who will rule with fairness and peace.

Maellerys wanted another baby and prince Aenys would not deny her any of that. After prince Jaehaerys was born, queen Rhaenys took him on Meraxes a few days after his mother had taken him. But, tragedy struck House Targaryen with the death of queen Rhaenys in Dorne. Maellerys, king Aegon and queen Visenya flew to Dorne and rain fire. Princess Maellerys killed Meria Martell's son after a fight broke out between the two. Prince Maegor was at the Dragonpit when the three came back from Dorne. Princess Maellerys came back victorious and her husband and children greeted her with open arms. They said Maegor Targaryen fell in love with her that day. She came back cover in blood and ash from the battle. She rushed to her own family, she simply gave a nod to her good brother.

After Rhaenys death, Aenys and his wife left for Dragonstone to take some time away from court. King Aegon often visited his son and his family, finding peace and solace on his grandchildren. Visenya loved Maellerys as her own daughter and she loved her children. Visenya, after many years believed that Maellerys would have been better suited for Maegor. Aenys fell ill a bit after his mother's death so princess Maellerys returned to court to take over his duties while he recovered. The Maesters sent away the children too incase whatever illness the prince had would not harm any of his children. In that time, prince Maegor Targaryen took that time to try and seduce his brother's wife.

Maellerys was returning back to the castle when Maegor too was returning from his flight. "Sister" he called out as she walked by. "Maegor" she said with a small smile. "How is my brother?" he asked. "He is..." she didn't know what to say. Prince Aenys was not getting any better. "He's hanging in there" she replied before she began to walk. He followed right behind her. "And my niece and nephews?" he asked and once again she smiled.. "They're fine, growing strong every day" she replied. He heisted to ask the question. "Have you heard?" he asked but she knew before he even asked. "Yes" she replied. "I know the rumors. They're saying Aenys has a bastard son, maybe two. I know they're also saying his dying" she replied. Maellerys was holding tears.

Princess Maellerys was always strong. She would never cry in front of anyone, let alone in front of Maegor who the people were claiming should take over if his father were to pass. "You don't believe that? Do you?" there was a moment of silence. "I don't know. The boy or boys are older than Aegon and Rhaena. He said nothing about it before we got married. I found out before Rhaenys died. She told me, she said she wasn't sure at first but after having one of her guards investigate she found out about the woman he had a child with. I didn't want to believe but then Rhaenys said that the woman had another child who's..." she paused. "She said the child is Viserys' age" Maegor Targaryen thought his brother was weak and was nothing but a scared little boy but he did not know he had it in him to get someone else pregnant who was not his wife. Besides, why would Aenys ever sleep with someone else when Maellerys was his wife.

"Aegon" his mother called out to her son who smiled as she approached. "I hear my dearest boy is an expert on high Valyrian?" she asked him and he nodded. Prince Aegon was near four and ten. He was a true image of his grandfather. If Maegor would've been in King's Landing when he was conceive people would whisper that he was the father. But, the young boy resemble his grandfather King Aegon. "Yes" he replied. "Once I'm king no one will be able to question my heritage. I will be a good king like grandfather" the boy said. Princess Maellerys prided herself in the way she was raising her children. They were courteous, kind, caring, respectful, well educated in everything and even in sword fighting.

"Uncle Maegor said he will teach me more tricks for sword fighting" Maellerys looked at her son. Aegon was her son with Aenys but he did have some similarities with his uncle and Rhaena looked like Visenya but she took it as a bloodline thing. Since her father was the brother of the other three Targaryen royals, it was bound to happen. Maellerys smiled at her son and nodded. Maegor watched from a distance. Maellerys will be his queen and he the king. Even if that meant killing his own brother to have her. Will he succeed?
