𝟙𝟙. 𝗖𝗼𝘄𝗯𝗼𝘁

   The whole gang chilled on the beach, it was sunny like a normal day on this island. Till three dudes got bored and made a game!

   Knuckles was stretching as he starts to warm up for something, while Tails stood in front of Amy and Sticks with a pine cone on a stick—intimating it as a microphone.

"It's down to this final toss for the echidna from Angel Island. He'll need to score of four to take the championship."

   Knuckles picks up Sonic with ease and holds him like a log. On his heels he starts to spin, and spin, and spin!

"Can he do it? Can he score four? The crowd is on their feet."

"Can you get on with it already?"

   Amy impatiently taps her feet, her hands on her hips as she rolls her eyes at the boys childish acts. As for you—yes you, you stood there with small confusion about this whole game.

   You sighed to watching Knuckles spin Sonic. Feeling a bit unimpressed about their actions.

   After a few spins for Knuckles he throws Sonic at the palm tree! Sonic flings from the tree and falls down, he hits the ground rather harshly making you wince. But then three coconuts fall.

"Denied! Three coconuts is not quite four."

   Tails exclaims like some announcer.

"Look!"

   Sticks points up at the single coconut, it rustle a bit for a while up there. Everyone and you looked up with squinting eyes to wait and see if it will fall...

   It did when you blinked and missed it when it hits Amy's head.

   You flinched when she yelled and falls backwards on your tail. You looked down with a worried face while she rubbed her head from the coconut.

"Amy!"

   You lift her up a bit with your tail, to exam her head for any bumps, you let out a sigh of relief to see no wounds/bumps and lift her back up with a small rub on her head.

   Sonic and Knuckles though, they cheered with success and chest pound each other like bros.

"They'be done it! They've achieved the impossible! The team of Knuckles and Sonic had vested the team Sonic and Knuckles."

"Wa-Wait a minute. You were playing against yourselves?"

   Amy sounded a bit agitated as she crumbles her first holding in her anger. You stifled a laugh at the two of being goofy a bit.

"No. Weren't you listening? We beat Sonic and Knuckles. Ha! In your face Sonic and Knuckles!"

   Knuckles said. You started to cover your small laugh when he did that, pointed at himself in the face with such idiotic antics, gosh how this man can make you laugh and question his smarts.

"Oh Knuckles you're the salt to the earth."

"What does that mean?"

   Right when you were about to answer a sudden big shadow covers you guys, you looked up and covered your eyes by the sun to see a big dark cloud with lightening striking out of it. What came out wassss..... Eggman!

   He zooms down on his egg-mobile to you guys.

"Behold, rodents! Prepare to face the most fearsome destructive force ever to grace this or any world..."

   He tried to show you guys but there was nothing except that cloud.... You tilt your head and blinked in silent confusion with the others. 

'There's nothing there...'

   Eggman seeing your confusion he looks backs to see nothing too.

"It'll just be a minute. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves."

        Silencee

   No one talked. Not even a sneeze or a cough.

"Your doom is coming I assure you..."

.

         Silenceeeee

   Sonic sighed and crossed his arms. You held in a yawn from breaking the silence so it doesn't feel more awkward. You rubbed your eyes from the tired tears but a moon made you perk up.

"Ah. Here it is now! This, is, Cowbot!"

   You look up to see a robot cow? In the air? You blinked at this, with sheer confusion and utterly unamused.

"Mooooo."

   Cowbot flys down then lands—that made the ground shake by its size.

"It's a cow."

"It's a cow-BOT."

   You started to shiver of your containing laughter, the you busted out laughing with the others. You grabbed your tail and giggle into it. Feeling a bit bed thought you calmed yourself down and take a deep breath.

'Don't laugh again. Don't laugh, don't laugh!'

"What? What's so funny?"

"Cowbot? That's the lamest thing you've ever come up with."

   Sonic snickers. 

"Not true. There was Spoon-bot, Cry-bot, Math-bot—Oh! And who can forget Lame-bot?"

   You thought of such odd names those are and probably such odd robot they are too.

"Wait what am I saying?..."

   Eggman questions what he's talking about. You and the others gave him weird looks like confused toddlers.

"Yeaahh."

"Forgot about that one."

"I wanna go home already."

"My breakfast is plotting to kill me."

   The gang gave you and Sticks weird looks too. Along with some of them a bit worried you wanna leave so soon.

"What? This week was not my week."

   You shrugged your shoulders. You guys all look up again where the sound of beeping was heard, you see Eggmans watch lighting blue light.

"Oh time to move my laundry to the dryer. I leave you in Cowbot capable hooves."

   Then he leaves, zooming off in his egg-mobile. 

"Okay guys, let's destroy this thing so we can get back to coconut hurl."

   Sonic said, obviously he wanted to get back to the game for he's bored and not so energetic now.

   Right after he said that Eggman stopped halt away to turn around.

"Did I mention that Cowbot is filled with mootonium? A pun-based radioactive compound? If you destroy him, he'll vaporize everything in a 20–mile radius. Toodles!"

   He finally leaves. You gulped about that information, so you can't use your new bombs... Dang. 

   You look at the cow who moon again, but it opens it mouth to—SHOOT A LASER? AND ALMOST AT YOU?

   You eked and was pulled away by Knuckles. He holds with a frightful-shock face at the thing. You look at the explosive spot and see hay?

"He's firing CUD MISSILES!"

   That moment you all ran—as in you Knuckles ran with you in his arms. You gripped so tight to his muscular arm like your life depend on it, but at the same time you were flustered how small you are in his arms, he held you with one arm! Damn!

   You guys all dive down to take cover behind a bush at the last fire.

   The missile hits another palm tree which then makes more than four coconuts fall. Knuckles peeks up and sees them...

"MMMmmmyyy recorddd!"

   He starts to sob on you, you just laughed nervously and pet his head gentle like a caring mother. 

"Oh Knuckles it's fine. You'll beat its record soon."

   How awkward you felt with a sobbing muscular man holding you like a teddy bear and you tried to comfort him. 

"R-Really plum?"

".... Sure."

   You pet his head again after he finally looks up. 

   You both didn't know that the others—Amy, Sticks and Sonic were looking at you guys with envious and blank looks.

   Amy felt such bitterness but huffed and thought of a plan. Sticks didn't know why she felt she angry like Sonic...

   Sonic stared with jealousy.

"If we can't smash that thing, what can we do?"

"Looks like there's an access panel on top."

   Tails points out. He pointed to a spot on the bot.

"If I can get to it, maybe I can't reprogram Cowbot."

   Tails said again, you nodded and felt Knuckles finally let you go, you dust your fur from when he held his head at—your fluffy chest.

   How embarrassing as you dust your chest.

"Time to top this cow."

"I'll distract him."

   Sonic runs off to the cow the runs away to have the cow to chase him. Cowbot did so and started to fire more cud missiles.

   Sonic being too fast he out ran them all!

   As for you guys, you pushed Cowboys legs all together so it can tip over.

"One..."

   You guys shoved it.

"Two..."

   Another push.

"... Three!"

"–Four!—I mean uh-Three!"

   With full force, you all grunted as you guys pushed the cow over successfully. It's on its side and Tails flys up. He goes to the spot then gets to work, he opened the latch and starts to work on wires.

   As for you, you look behind where Sonic fell.

"Sonic!"

   You ran to him. In a panic you slide beside him and help him sit up, you start to look around his whole body for any wound, even put a hand on his cheek to tilt it up for more searching—which it made him stop functioning.

   He became stiffed like a doll, frighten like a cat, because he suddenly felt so.... 

  Nervous?

             Silly?

   He felt warmth with his heart. He's always been used to your touches, ever since you guys were kids you always grabbed his hand, you always held him with fear about something. So why did it felt so weird now?

   After you check around and saw no wounds you smiled softly in relief to him.

"You got sand on your quills Sonic."

"O-Oh yeah?"

   He snaps back. Sonic quickly ruffles his quills to get the sand off, you chuckled at that feeling some sand hit your face. Your scrunch and you wipe off the extra sand.

"You shake like a dog!"

"Hehe!"

   He just laughs it off, the feelings, so he can focus on what's happening as the cow starts to glitch!

   You both look at it quickly, watching it start shaking then trying to get up, it got up but then moon and flew off.

   You and Sonic ran back to the others to watch it soar away.

"Uh. Tails. What's going on?"

"Whatchu you do?"

   You and Sonic questioned him.

"Not sure. It's original programming was to destroy Sonic, soo since I reversed it..."

"It's going after Eggman. Classic!"

   Sonic just laughs a bit at that. You frown and nudge him with your elbow. He hissed a bit by the pain on his arm.

"No, it's not classic. It's awful! That thing's a killing machine and if it explodes no more Eggman!"

"And in laundry day? Not cool Sonic."

"Yeah Sonic."

   You agreed with Amy and Knuckles—mostly Knuckles because yeah on laundry day too? You you'd hate a day when you're doing laundry and see a big killing robot coming for ya. Worst thing to do.

"Ugh, fine, I'll go warn him."

"Tails you come with me, Y/n you too."

"Sorry not this time again. Another appointment at 1:30 for a patient outside the woods."

   You pat his shoulder. He did groan a bit but understood, so he smiles at you.

"Okay but promised me next time maybe?"

"Maybe."

"And while you're there, ask him how he gets out grass stains. These whites are always so white."

   You faced palm at him. 

"Knuckles never mind you're sometimes just a rock."
