𝟺 𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚊𝚐𝚘, 𝚘𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚈𝙾𝚄 𝚖𝚎𝚝 𝚑𝚒𝚖.

𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚂𝚘𝚗𝚒𝚌 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝟷𝟸 𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚘𝚕𝚍.

   𝗔 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿, it seemed they gotten lost in the forest with soggy fur and their tail was dragged on the ground. He shivers by his slight wet fur that drips water droplets, a harsh wind makes him flinch and shiver more by the coldness.

   He whimpers as he tries to look up to see dark clouds covering the sky's. His eyes widens by a loud BOOM along with a flash of light.

   That caused him to quicken his pace to look for shelter, his eyes darts to a cave, feeling hesitant he runs towards it the second another boom strikes.

   He stumbles in as rain comes down hard sounding like small pebbles on the trees and ground, he breathes heavily as he looks out the rain coming down hard, his ears lowers down as he walks deeper into the cave and sit down.

   He winces at the pain on his back when he rest against a rock. Whimpering feeling the cold surface on his back but it made him feel ease, though it would've been fine if that was the only body part that's cold...

     Stomp

   The sound of footsteps made him jump, he looks at the entrance of the cave to see another figure. Hearing them huff and huff as they put a hand on the side of the cave and leaned on it.

"Gosh it's pouring out there! Good thing I found this cave before my shoes got more wet."

   A blue hedgehog shakes their quills and fur like a dog, he then ruffles his spikes to get more water out, he perks up seeing the squirrel peeking behind a rock.

"Oh, Uhhh.... Hey there?"

   The hedgehog answers awkwardly as he waves slightly at them, the squirrel squeaks nervously and retreats back behind the rock.

"Hey I won't hurt yah! The names Sonic!!"

(I forgot the rock 💀)

   Sonic walks closer to him, trying to not look like a threat. The squirrel slowly reveals themselves, they had f/c [fur color] fur that was damp and only had baggy pants on, their tail wraps around them as they shiver more by the cold and the nervousness of meeting someone new.

"I'm Y/n,..."

"Hey Y/n! Gosh it's raining cats and dogs?"

"I guess so."

   You answered nervously as you pull your legs closer to your chest, Sonic sees the movement and decides to next you— that made your cheeks slightly warm when you saw his full appearance up close. He looks rather nice and cute...

"Are you cold?"

"Yeah, and tired."

   You let out a small yawn. Sonic slightly chuckles to move his arm that caused his arm to brush against your tail. He awes at the soft fur.

"Wow this is soft!! And warm!"

   Your face almost burst red in embarrassment as he pets your tail more.

"H-Hey please don't do that, it's sensitive... Also your gloves feels wet."

"Oh sorry, couldn't help myself seeing a fluffy tail!"

   He gives off a cheeky smile that seemed to calm you down, you let out a soft sigh as your tail slightly puffs up. Sonic looks at his soggy gloves and frowns.

"Gosh these will take longer to clean and dry."

"And that's why I don't use gloves, hehe!"

   You jokily said and stifled a small laugh, Sonic narrows his eyes with a smirk. He does chuckle too.

"Also your shoes look dirty."

"WHAT??!"

   Sonic's voice echos with surprised as he looks at his shoes, letting a grumble seeing mud.

"Dang it! My new shoes are already messed up."

   You watched him sulk with a sad face for him, your tail though had a mind of its own and wrapped around Sonic making him jump a bit. Your face poofs in red and warmth as your realized what you just did.

"S-Sorry I just—, you looked sad! You can pet my tail if that makes you feel better!"

   You stuttered out with your cheeks becoming red feeling your nervous spikes up, Sonic gentle pets your tail with a small smile.

"Thanks Y/n, I was testing them out then boom! Rain came."

"Rain can be a blessing or curse."

"Yup."

   You guys slightly laughed at the statement, your eyes wonders around the cave as the droplets from outside echos inside, you glance at Sonic who pets your tail with a smile that made your heart flutter. You wonder now why you're feeling like this, it's the first time you've met someone your age! 

   Yes you heard or saw right, you're 12 years old and finally met someone your age. Well he's not the only one though, you do remember a certain fellow that alway had a habit of picking you up with one arm...

   A thunder boom startles your thoughts, you flinch by the sound and so did Sonic too....

"Got a fear for thunder too?"

"Yeah."

   After a couple of seconds your back didn't start to hurt so you let out another yawn and snuggle yourself. Sonic sees this and looks at you.

"Y/n are you tired?"

"Yeah,...."

"I am too, well a bit."

   You shivered of the cold in the cave, wrapping your arms around yourself.

"You cold too? You know we can do a cuddle pile! I heard some people do that when they're cold, we can do it if you don't mind?"

   You stopped thinking for a while. A cuddle pile? You've done cuddle piles with your siblings but with another kid? Oohh your poor young heart couldn't take that feeling well as you starts beating rapidly.

"Eh–Uhmm, we can i–if you're fine with it too...."

"Cool."

   You jumped when he leans on you with a small grin. Feeling your breathing stopped a moment. 

   With that both of you lean on each other for warmth and comfort, you liked it.... Your tail pulls you two together as the rain starts to get softer and patters on the ground. His soft snores made you feel at ease.

   Hearing sound from another person brings you comfort when being alone.

   You felt at calm, you felt safe, you felt warm. Your heart beats faster when he leans in a bit more, your poor face was cover in more red.

   You may have just met him but you felt safe around him, he felt nice, he was nice to talk to, he was kind enough to let you get closer to him and so were you! So you enjoyed this warmth. 

   You enjoyed this moment, and rested your eyes as you snuggle against him.

   𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘆𝗮𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗿, sitting up feeling your tail slowly fall down from his chest to lap. He looks at you to see you're still asleep, making him chuckle as you shuffle around. He looks outside to see a bright light from the sun? Oh well.

   The birds started to sing, that gave him a hint the rain storm was over! 

"Hey, hey, hey Y/n! Wake up!"

   He nudges you repeatedly. Your eyes slowly opens to see his stare, you smack your lips a bit as you sit up, the sudden pain in your back made you almost wince but,.... You don't want him to worry over you. So you toughen up.

"It stopped raining! Let's gooo freedom!!"

   Sonic said excitedly as he runs out, with a blink he was already at the entrance....

Wait what.

"Eh!?"

   You eep in surprised as he embraces the warmth of the sun, he grins happily and turns around to see your reaction.

"Oh,... Oh shoot I should've told you."

"T-Told me what?"

"My powers!"

"POWERS??"

   𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, his power of speed! He calls himself the fastest thing alive! 

   He then tells you about his adventures which really peeked your interest.

"Then this giant boulder comes down! So I ran to that little girl and saved her!!"

"Wooow."

   You awe at his bravery and fierceness, that made you like him even more, even his jokes made you giggle! 

   You heard people talking ahead, both of you stopped and looked to see finally see Sonic's village.

"Here we are, my unnamed village."

"Really?"

"Yeah I know right?"

   You nod at him, he grins cheeky and walks towards it,..... He then stopped and turned around to see you still standing.

"You coming?"

"I can't, I have to go home now...."

"I can run you over there?"

"N-No thanks I'm good!"

   You smile softly and small with a bit of red cheeks. He shrugs and smiles at you and waves.

"See ya next time?!"

"See you next time! Sonic the hedgehog!"

   With those goodbyes, your heart slightly aches but you shoved it and your tail puffs a bit.

'I finally talked to someone my age... And he's so cool already! I cant wait to see him again!'

   You fawn over as you walk your away to your home.   

   You didn't know your cheeks that were red with the thought of the blue hedgehog.
