   𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝘆𝘀. The sound of birds and the oceans waves crashing over the shore all surrounds you, slowly lifting up yourself and groaning from the soreness and discomfort of the sand against your face.

   You spat out some sand, shaking your head letting more sand out your fur. 

   After fixing yourself up, you look around more to see you're on an island.. great.

   You check in your bag sack to make sure you still have your stuff, needles, medic supplies, your book, and also a vial.

   You still have everything but your bag was soak along with your clothes too, it was damped but still cold and wet making you shiver.

   Since you were alone you took off your clothes and just dried them in a rock. Just wearing your gloves and shoes while you sat and thinking what happened..

Oh yeah.

You were escaping a pirate ship.

Nasty people of the sea. At least what you call them.

   You've been kidnapped like a damsel in distress by multiple pirate ships! You were a medic for the navy until that ship was raised by pirates and they took you in instead of throwing you in see or so called "walk the plank".

   The first pirate was a mean nasty shark man, that shark pirate lost a game to another pirate who decided to take you, then the finally was this charming weasel captain but he was jerk and so was his crew so you left that crew again.

   You took one of their boats but ended up in a storm and now you've washed a shore..

.... Great...

   Your clothes dried up finally. Putting them on and feel the warmth of the fabric around you once again, but shiver at the cold breeze from the sea waves, you looked around and sighed out, sitting down on the sand and burry your head in your knees..

   This might be it... 

    You're probably far from home,... your brother, your sisters, your mother... maybe your dad might find you! He's the general of the Royal guards! Maybe he's looking for you everywhere... you hoped. 

   While you were dreading over everything, back to your anxiety and trying to think how to live on this island. I mean, it won't be that bad, it's not like it can get any worse.

"Heh, this is fine! It's not like a random pirate ship is gonna show up— OH MY GOOOOD—!!"

   Spoke too soon.

   A ship pulls in shore, it had a flag of a mobian head symbol with a sword behind... you recognize that symbol, you heard stories from fishermen folks and civilians about a certain pirate that's so ruthless and dangerous...

   He's an echidna, the last of his kind they say and he's the most powerful in the seas!! Many people want his head or praise him for being so powerful.

   His name is.

   Knuckles the Dread.

   You quickly sat up horrified and scared. Then grabbed your sack and ran, the sand wasn't much help as it sunk some of your foot steps in getting more hot sand in your shoes!

   You can hear other pirates roaring out from the ship—

"Get that scallywag!!"

    They all yelled.

    WHY THE HELL DO THEY WANT YOU??

   Their yelling really encouraged you to keep running.

   You may not be the most active person but you'll most certainly run like it's your last life when being chased.

   Gosh you hope your flimsy legs don't give out as you ran more on the sand–

   You tripped...

"Oomph!"

   You let out a sound as you fell right on the hot sand, making you scramble up again but then suddenly someone jumps you making you grunt again.

"Stay still ye landlubber! Unless ya want a taste of me hook."

   A mobian fox threatens you. You shrink down weakly as your man handled by pirates, you of course would snap at them for touching your stuff too.

"Hey! Get your dirty hands out my bag!"

"Gee, ye're snappy like a crabby-crab! Ragahaha!!"

   They mocked you. You grumbled angrily as you were pushed and nudged to their ship.. the Angles Voyage.

   Looking upon the ship with fear and a bit of awe about the ships built and interior. But you shook your head as you can't admire a pirate ship, they're filthy-alcoholic-spiteful-people!

   You eyed all the pirates in a glare making them snicker and mock you once again.

"What he be staring at us like that??"

"Aye, I think he hates us!"

"Awww—what a cute squirrel be hating us for?"

"'Maybe they're a something in yer' eye!! HAHA!!"

   They laughed, making you more annoyed by them. Gosh their accents don't even make sense half of the time!

"I said hand out the bag!"

   You yelled again seeing another pirate digging through your sack, he doesn't listen as he brought out your medic book and looks at it like it's an artifact.

"Oh? Are ya a nurse or something??"

"No, I'm a medic. Now put that back."

   You were gonna walk up to him, being bold but an another stops you as he stood intimidating.

   You may be bold sometimes but not stupid... so you stood guard but still glared.

   As the ship was lively it all went silent when heavy footsteps were on the wood planks. Walks out in view was him...

   Dread...

   He had red fur, an echidna with curly spines, a normal pirate wear and he stares down at you. 

   You gulped out of fear seeing the legend himself staring at you deeply.

"Capn' Dread! We have caught that squirrel ya always wanted!"

"Wait what."

   You deadpanned hearing that... he's been wanting you??.... Woah... do pirates like have a thing for you or something? Are you that attractive–

"Hmm.. he's quiet scrawny and frail almost.."

   Dread spoke as he wasn't impressed by you. He walks down his stares onto the deck, he walks up close a bit.

   You shivered at the feeling of his dark purple eyes scanning your body, either judging or checking you out which you might not mind—

"I don't think this is the squirrel I wanted.."

   Dread growls as he glared at his crew, disappointed and angry.

"W-Wait cap! This is! You said a squirrel with blue eyes, scruffy tail and—"

"—And wears armor made from the finest and strongest iron, that shines bright like a sunny ray illuminatin' on clean water... this a skinny landlubber!"

   Gasping shock and offended as he called you skinny! I mean, you haven't eaten much because the food on the other pirate ships were disgusting looking and smelt horrible, even when they wanted you to cook for them you wanted to poison their meals–

"You damn crew waste me time! We sailed all the way here to get some random squirrel?!"

"Well... he's not totally useless, he's a medic!"

    Oh shit.

   Now they're gonna keep you again like the other pirates who kept you on their ship, because you're a medic!

   Dread seems to think as he looks through your bag, looking at your items before walking to you again.

"Say lad... ye be a medic?"

".... Yes.."

"Hm... y'know, I'll spare yer life if ya join me crew as a medic! I do be needing one on this ship..."

   He said gruffly and firm, trynna command you to join.. you huffed and shake your head.

"Nope! I'll never work for pirates!"

"Then ya be stoopid! We be pirates of the sea! And we can do anything to ya scallwag!! I can throw ya off the plank, tie ya to the mast, or even more.. make ya clean and clean, and clean like a maid until ye fall down!"

   Dread laughs out making his own crew laugh too. Your ears tucks down a from the slight humiliation. Their laughs were like hyenas, loud, gross, and in different pitches.

   You stood your ground though. 

   As in stood your ground. You stayed silent.

   Dread finished laughing, then quickly shushed his crew with a stern stare. His crew stopped too, one of them were still laughing until another whacks his head.

"Ye know what? Ya might be useful here... I want kill ya yet, but you're most definitely not leaving this ship."

".... Who's says I can't?"

   You throw a smoke bomb on the floor, creating smoke making the pirates cough. Not wasting any time you punch the pirate who had your bag, while the smoke was still visible you took your chance you run away and about to jump overboard...

   A hand grabs your tail. You squeaked in pain and shock as you were held but your body hits against the ship... a bit too hard... making you knocked out.

"Hmm... you're quite an intriguing lad..."

   Dread spoke with interest...
