"Are you ready?", Lando asks as he enters the bedroom.

Hazel is standing in front of the mirror, unsure of her appearance.

"I guess", she mumbles.

She didn't want to go. She didn't want to see George. Well, she wanted to. That made it even more complicated.

But it's Charlotte's party and she is one of her best friends so she has to go. It'll all be fun once she's there.

"You look absolutely stunning", Lando murmurs as his hands snake around her waist and he presses a soft kiss at the top of her head.

"No need to be so insecure".

Hazel sighs. "Lando...".

"I know, I know. It's easier said than done. But would I lie to you?".

"No", she whispers almost inaudible.

"Exactly, now come on".

Lando grabs her hand and they make their way down to the parking lot, locking the door behind them.

They're one of the first ones to arrive however the party has already started.

Hazel and Charlotte embrace each other in a hug. "Oh my god you look so pretty!", Hazel exclaims.

Charlotte is wearing a red dress that hugged her body perfectly and showed off her long legs.

After they chatted for a while Hazel walks over to Charles to greet him.

"What's up Perceval?".

He laughs and hugs her. "Lord Perceval for you".

"Oh right yeah sorry sir", Hazel grins.

Charlotte and Lando join them as Charles makes them something to drink and they have a conversation about their best and worst party memories.

"No wayyyy really?! I had something similar happen to me once!". George stops in his tracks. He doesn't want to be here.

He doesn't want to see Hazel right now, but her voice, oh god her voice. It's so angelic. It makes him wanna see her, wishes she would speak to him.

George could never get tired of listening to her voice.

But he knows she won't speak to him, probably not even look at him.

Both of them are trying so hard to save their own relationships however, George had been wondering lately if that really was the right thing to do.

"Hey are you okay?", Carmen grabs his hand and squeezes it gently.

George exhales sharply. "Yeah, just not really in the mood to be social today".

"Just let me know when you want to leave alright?".

George nods. "Alright".

She is the first thing that catches his eye when they walk around the corner. She's wearing a denim dress that fitted around her curves perfectly with a white T-shirt underneath.

She looked absolutely gorgeous.

They lock eyes and George quickly looks away but he can still feel her eyes burning on his back.

He hesitantly follows Carmen to greet their friends after they hung up their coats.

The rest of the night consists of stolen glances. It's almost like a competition. How long can they maintain eye contact without anyone else noticing.

It's so wrong yet it feels so good and exciting.

He looks so good. He's wearing a black skinny jeans and a white button up. The sleeves rolled up to his elbows, showing off his tanned arms.

His arm wrapped around his girlfriend's waist.

His girlfriend.

Wake the fuck up Hazel, he has a girlfriend.

"Hey you alright?", Lando puts his hand on her thigh and draws circles on it with his thumb.

And you have a boyfriend.

Hazel smiles at him. "Oh sorry I was just staring". She lays her head down on his shoulder.

Within a couple seconds her eyes glide over to George again. Who's whispering something in Carmen's ear which makes her giggle.

It feels like a knife has been stabbed in her stomach and it's twisting very slowly.

The George she sees right now is behaving so much different than the George that texts her in the middle of the night.

He makes her believe he wants to be with her and tells her a day later she ruined his life.

It hurts.

It hurts even more when she realises she is basically doing the same thing to him.

This has been going on for way too long. People are getting hurt in the process. They hurt each other and the people they love.

Hazel realises she has been looking at George again for too long when Charlotte appears in her view, signing for hazel to follow her outside to the balcony.

She shivers as she closes the door behind her.

It's quite chilly out.

"What's up?".

Charlotte turns around and looks at Hazel.

"What colour is my dress?".

This question catches Hazel of guard.

"Eh what?", she nervously laughs while she plays with her fingers.

Charlotte looks dead serious when she asks again.

"What colour dress am I wearing?".

"Yeah I understood you the first time, I don't know, why did you ask?". Hazel tries to play it off cool but she fails terribly.

She doesn't know if it's her high pitched voice, her fiddling with her fingers or nervous laughs that gave it away.

Everyone knows Hazel is a horrible liar.

"Because I think you do. No, I don't think. I know".

"Charlotte...".

"Be honest with me Hazel".

Hazel's voice sounds small and fragile when she speaks up again.

"Red", she murmurs.

"I'm sorry what?".

"Red", Hazel speaks up a little louder now. "Your dress is red".

For a while neither one of them says anything.

Hazel leans against the wall, watching the cars that pass by underneath them.

It's Charlotte who starts talking first.

"It's George isn't it?".

Hazel breaths in the chill midnight air as she nods.

"Why didn't you tell me?".

"I wanted to, I really did! I just didn't know how. All of this is so messed up".

"That's quite the understatement", Charlotte sighs.

It's quiet again for a while.

A cold breeze make Hazel shiver and she wraps her arms around herself. "Let's go back inside".

"We're not done talking yet", Charlotte says sternly.

"Damn okay".

"Do you love him?".

"George? I guess", Hazel stammered. "I'm confused about all of this".

"Do you love Lando?".

"Yes, yes I do".

"Do you need a hug?".

"Yeah I do". Hazel smiles sadly.

The first tear slips from her eye as soon as Charlotte wraps her arms around her.

Charlotte holds her tightly as hazel softly sobs into her chest.

"So what are you gonna do now?".

"I have no fucking clue", Hazel cries.

Charlotte takes a step back and wipes away Hazel's tears.

"You're gonna figure it out".

"Really?".

"You always figure it out darling", Charlotte smiles reassuring.

"Are you gunna tell Carmen?".

"I don't really know if it's my place to tell her".

"Okay yeah true. What about Lando?".

Hazel sighs.

Just as she's about to answer her best friend Lando appears in the doorway.

"What about me?".
