Plot
Garret is in charge of chores for the day thanks to Cielo but as Garret is finishing up the final chore for the day, he comes across an unexpected find that changes his life quite a lot.

It was Friday, usually for Garret that meant kicking back on the couch, drinking and watching trash TV but that was interrupted by a certain blue haired roommate of his. Cielo had reminded the wolf hybrid that today was when Garret was doing chores which consisted of washing dishes, vacuuming the living room, cleaning up his bedroom, sweeping the kitchen floor, clean the windows and much more.

Garret kicked the backdoor open that led outside as he had walked down a few flights of stairs from his and Cielo's apartment, a black garbage bag in hand as his wolf ears flicked and flattened a bit against his head. "Uggh... okay, last chore and after this I'm collapsing onto the couch.. I really gotta stop talking to myself." Garret sighed, he then walked down the stairs that led to the back where the buildings dumpster was and he stretched tiredly. He then opened the dumpster lid with one hand as he placed the garbage bag in the dumpster and shut the lid.

"Ha! Suck on that chore list!" Garret whooped and his tail wagged behind him as he grabbed the chore list from his jacket pocket, crossing the last chore off the list as he then tucked the list away back into his pocket. "Now it's time to kick back and rel–" Garret however heard something as his wolf ears twitched and he even picked up a scent too, he looked around curiously.

Being a wolf hybrid allowed him to have more keen senses than an average human did, the two main senses being smell and hearing. He faintly heard small coos and whimpers as he looked around and spotted something on the other side of the dumpster, Garret approached with a mix of curiosity and confusion as he spotted an old rattan basket as it seemed big enough to hold a decent amount of items but he also saw that there was a pastel colored cloth inside.

Garret arched a brow but hesitantly moved the cloth as it appeared to be a blanket, he was absolutely shocked at the contents of the basket. In this rattan basket was a baby boy/girl, no more than three months old as the little one cooed and cried a bit, they had a bit of hair that was a nice shade of H/c, they were dressed in a F/c onesie with small white heart patterns. "What the- a baby?" Garret mumbled to himself and he looked around as he wondered where the parents were, he then looked back down at the baby in the beat up basket as he was nervous but reached a finger down as he delicately yet carefully brushed his pointer finger against the little infants cheek.

The infant child slowly but surely stopped crying as Garret's wolf ears perked up a bit, he saw the baby grab his finger with his/her small hand as he was surprised that the little one wasn't afraid of him. He saw that the baby's eyes were a bright shade of E/c as they were slightly glossed with tears from crying earlier as the baby's sad demeanor changed to a rather happy one when they saw someone.

Garret couldn't help but smile and he chuckled a bit as he eventually scooped up the baby into his arms, making sure the little one was bundled up, warm and safe as he looked about. "Where are your parents?" Garret asked, he knew the child wouldn't answer as he felt something nuzzle him and looked down to see the tiny H/c child nuzzle into him with a small coo.

Garret chuckled but smiled as he then softly bounced the child in his grasp as he remembered faintly his mom would rock or bounce him in her arms when he was a pup. "You are pretty adorable.. man, Cielo is not gonna believe this." Garret muttered to himself as he then made his way back into the apartment.

After a quick elevator ride up to the 14th floor, Garret opened the door with one hand as he carried the baby in one arm.

The blood wolf hybrid took notice of Cielo picking up empty cans of beer or soda in the living room, Cielo groaned a bit and he tossed the cans in recycling can he got as Cielo perked his head up when he heard the apartment door open. "Dude, about time you showed up. Did you take out the garbage like I asked?" Cielo asked.

"Yeah and while I was down there, look what I found..!" Garret said.

"Please don't let it be another stray cat, Garret I swear to g—" Cielo turned around to face his obnoxious roommate but he was certainly wasn't expecting to see Garret holding a baby, Cielo adjusted his blue rimmed glasses for a moment as he was unable to process what he was seeing.

"Garret, who'd you knock up this time?" Cielo immediately thought Garret had a one night stand with some other chick and Garret growled a little as his wolf ears bent back, his tail fluffing up too.

"No one! I found this kiddo out by the dumpster, they were left there!" Garret snapped back, the baby started to cry a bit when he/she heard Garret yell as Garret immediately calmed down and he softly bounced the little one in his arms as he tried to soothe the infant.

"Who just abandons a baby behind an apartment building? Does the kid even have a name?" Cielo asked, he took his disposable gloves off and tossed them in the trashcan as he walked over to Garret and helped his roommate with the baby, the little H/c infant calmed down and cooed gently as he/she had a grip on Garret's jacket as if it was a plush toy providing comfort.

"No idea, but I don't think the kiddo has a name." Garret sighed and he looked to Cielo as Cielo groaned a little ans removed his glasses, rubbing his temples before he put his glasses back on. "I'll talk to the landlord about the new addition to our apartment, but you need to take care of the kid." Cielo said.

"Dude you know I've got a shift to cover next Monday, plus I don't know anything about babies..! Help me!" Garret said, his tail tucked in between his legs as Cielo thought to himself quietly but he gave a gentle hum like sigh.

"Fine, I'll help you with the baby BUT you gotta wash the car this weekend." Cielo looked to Garret and Garret gave a small nod as he told his roommate it was a deal before the wolf hybrid looked down at the baby in his arms once again.

"So, what are you going to name him/her?" Cielo asked, he was a bit curious as he put his hands in his hoodie pockets for a moment. The infant child reached up at Garret and cooed as Garret let the baby hold his finger like before and his tail wagged behind him much like a dog's would. "How about.. Y/n? That's a pretty neat name..!" Garret chimed, he thought the name fit the baby pretty well and Cielo pondered about it but he gave a nod of agreement.

"Welcome to your new home, Y/n." Garret said, he smiled and he wanted to at least try to be a good parental figure despite him having no memories of his own father, his mother took care of him most of his life so he wanted to be there for his new light of his life, even if Cielo had to teach him some basics when it came to infant care.
