Femi's POV.

Agozie had indeed done the right thing by stopping me. I had so many harsh things I could've said to her. I wanted to be mean to her, to make her feel bad. To give her a taste of her own medicine for a change. But then, I shouldn't have. I lost control, lost my cool and forgot my policy. I should've ignored her like I always did in the past but still, a part of me was happy that I didn't.

"Look, man. I'm truly sorry for what happened back there. She's just..." I heaved a very frustrated sigh as I rubbed my hand over my face." She's just a pain in the neck! I don't know why she's like that" I added as I sat down on my swivel chair.

"To be honest, I didn't know she could be that way. I thought she was a very calm and sweet person. But, that doesn't necessarily mean she's not, she's probably that way cause she's pissed at the moment" he replied as he sat on the visitor's chair.

"She's like that all the time. She's an epitome of rudeness. In fact, she's is the architect of all things rude and hurtful. Her words are like venom and her stares are like razors. I don't want to go there, let's just leave it in the fact that she's a crazed lunatic" I was ranting, yes, I'll admit that I was but I also wondered why. I always know how to control myself and I wondered why I particularly couldn't control myself today.

"Please take it easy. You sound like you could kill her any minute from now. And plus, she's my friend. At least respect that" Agozie replied as he drummed his fingers on the coffee colored wooden table.

"Sorry about that" I replied, not that I was actually sorry. I just said that to pacify him a little. "So what exactly did she want to talk to me about?" I asked, trying to change the topic just so I don't say something I'll end up regretting.

"Yeah, um. Her father sent her over here to get some documents. I think she might know better cause that's all I was able to gather" he said and I nodded my head in understanding.

"Okay, so how do I help her with that?"

"Maybe you could, I don't know, give them to her?" he said in a 'duh' tone which made me chuckle.

"Well, if she needs them then she'll have to come here and ask for them by herself. I know you guys are friends and all but I also know that she's not meant to ask you to speak on her behalf. She did that cause she's feeling too big to ask me for them" I replied and Agozie lay back on his chair and grinned.

"That's a really bad idea, Femi. You guys are going to claw at each other's throats. And not to mention the fact that she's vicious with her words" he added as he returned back to drumming his fingers on the table.

"True. But, I'll try to tolerate her. Keyword: try" I replied with a smug smile on my face.

"You're funny. I'll go call her in then. And please, try not to murder her" he chuckled before getting up.

"I'll try but I'm not making any promises" I chuckled too and then he left.

I heard the door to my office come open few minutes later and I looked away from the paperwork I was handling to see Chioma walk into my office, without even bothering to knock. I tried so hard to swallow my words, to act like that didn't happen but hey, I'm only human so I can't act like it didn't for too long.

"Nice way to barge in, don't you think?" I said, sarcasm dripping in my voice. She scowled and sat down on the visitor's chair, still wearing a scowl on her face.

"Agozie told me that you wanted to see me. So I'm here" she replied, completely ignoring my previous remark.

"Yes. I need to understand what you're asking for" I said, a smirk appearing on my face.

"Are you seriously that dumb?! What's there to understand? I asked for a certain document that my father was supposed to pick up but couldn't. What else is there to not understand?" She asked wearing her all too familiar glare.

"I wasn't told about that document. So please enlighten me on the exact document you're talking about" at this point, a smirk appeared on my face. She looked flustered for a second but then regained her composure in the next.

"The documents are concerning my father's partnership with this company. He was supposed to come for them himself but as it is, he isn't feeling well and that's why I'm here instead. Now, I've broken things down in such a way that even a stupid child would understand so if you still don't understand, then that means you're way more stupid when compared to a stupid child" she replied with an sharp rush in her voice.

I lay back in my chair and smiled. What's the point of getting angry at her? She's not worth my anger.

"Okay, I understand. But the thing is that I can't help you at the moment. I have an important meeting to get to and I'm not there right now cause I had to attend to a few clients before you came in with your problem" I grinned as I leaned closer to my table, close enough to match her gaze. "But I could consider it, only if you'd beg me or at least apologise for what you said back there in the reception hall" I paused and a smug smile appeared on my face as I watched her grit her teeth in anger. "Or better still, a kiss wouldn't hurt too. Just one kiss to make up for all your rude remarks and attitude towards me. Consider it a bribe" and my goodness! The look on her face was priceless. She was so angry that her eyes twitched in anger and I was so satisfied knowing I had gotten to her. Words couldn't even describe the satisfaction I felt.

"I mean it" I said more like a whisper and I fought the urge to burst out into fits of laughter.

"Excuse me?! Who knew you were such a perv?!" She shrieked as she eyed me.

"I didn't know I was. Maybe you just pushed me too hard, I can't help it cause you've been too nasty to me. What's there in kissing me? It's so little when compared to all the attitude and rude things you've done and said to me" and with that she got up from her seat and and huffed while pointing her long, manicured fingers at me in a threatening manner.

"Listen up, Femi. I do not have the time to listen to your nonsense. So quit acting like a perverted jerk and just give me the documents!" I chuckled at her words and also got up from my seat. Does she actually think that would scare me? Well then, two can play at that game.

"Why would I do that? I gave you my condition, didn't I?" I said as I approached her. And with every step I took closer to her, she backed away.

"Do not come any closer! I'm warning you!" She warned, her finger still pointed at me and her eyes reading rage.

"Why?" I asked, my smirk still very evident as I dared to come closer. She moved back and gritted her teeth and then huffed like she was going to explode soon.

"Listen here!" She grabbed my collar. She actually grabbed my collar like the maniac she is. Her hot, fiery breath fanned my face and her eyes bore holes into my soul as she glared at me, staring murderously into my eyes. "My father needs those documents and I promised him that I would get it, so if you're going to act like a large sized idiot with me then I might as well give you a piece of my mind" she had this very daring but yet scary look on her face but I chose to act unfazed by all the looks, glares and scowls she was giving me.

"You're so close to my face, you do know that? And you do know that I could just kiss you right now, right?" I said to her with a smug smile creeping to my face. She glared harder and let go of my collar, looking flustered and nervous all at same time.

"You don't have to be so violent about it though. I'd never kiss you, not even if I was paid to" I said as I immediately rearranged my messed up collar.

"And I'd rather lick dirt off a stinky bathroom floor than have myself get kissed by you. Eww!" She cringed and I shook my head at her.

"I'll send my secretary to get the documents for you. Please leave my office, I've had enough of you for one day" I said, clearly sounding fed up and tired of her. And besides, I had a meeting to get to.

"Whatever!" She muttered as she finally grabbed her pursed an stormed out of my office.

Dramatic psycho!

I picked up the telephone in my office and dialed Amanda. In a few minutes she answered.

"Hello, sir" she said.

"Yeah, Amanda. Please bring those files, the ones concerning the partnership with Anison group of companies, to my office"

"Okay sir" and then I hung up.
