Mr. Nobody
Dom's POV
I still couldn't believe I won against Shaw. The fact that he'd be in jail for his crimes gave me some satisfaction. But when Hobbs mentioned the lie detector test and Isabella, I jumped at the chance to get answers. I had to know why my sister was involved with him.
I listened closely to what Hobbs asked and what Isa said, but I couldn't shake the shock. It felt impossible that I was now connected to Shawβnot just by marriage, but because my sister was tied to him. I needed to ask again.
Before Hobbs could finish the questioning, I blurted out without thinking:
"Is the marriage real?"
Isabella's response was sharp. "Oh, again with this marriage thing? Yes, it's real. We were planning to start a family before you threw Owen out of the plane. And as for the last questionβmaybe, it depends. Now, is this over? Because I'd love to get back to my husband."
Hobbs looked at me, confirming, "Toretto, the marriage is real. I've got the records. I know who was there and who officiated."
Brian then grabbed me by the arm and led me out of the room. "Dom, you need to cut this out. I know you don't like that they're married, but they are. When I was at the FBI, I saw something about Isa, but I never told you. You need to accept this. You didn't accept me as Mia's boyfriend right away, but look where we are now. You're the one holding up your relationship with your sister."
I watched as Brian walked away, dialing Mia. I didn't follow. Instead, I saw Hobbs lead Isabella back to Shaw's room. The thought of them together made my blood boil. But Letty placed a hand on my shoulder, guiding me away.
"Dom," she said softly, "I know this is hard for you. But Isabella is a grown woman, and she's strong. I know it's tough, especially after you beat Shaw, but I watched the footage with Hobbs, and Isa handled herself. What I'm trying to say is... I love you, but the way you've treated Isabella isn't right. You say family is important, but you're tearing your own apart. Whether you like it or not, you and Deckard are brother-in-laws now, and the whole Shaw family is part of it. This will take time, but you have to stop asking about their marriage. If you bring it up again, you're going to be in the doghouse with me, got it?"
I nodded, feeling the weight of her words. Even Hobbs had spoken up about my behavior.
That night, I stayed up, thinking about what Letty and Brian had said. The reason I couldn't accept the marriage was because I feared for Isa. I thought she and Deckard weren't right for each other. But as I went through old files, particularly those related to London, I realized there was truth in what Isa had been telling me all along.
Letty came in the next morning. "Dom, we all know what Shaw did. But your sister wasn't there when he killed Han. You need to know that."
I went to bed, still anxious, wondering what Isa was doing. I couldn't stop thinking about her.
Isabella's POV:
After being questioned, I needed some space. I went for a walk to clear my mind. That's when I was approached by a stranger.
"Mrs. Shaw," he said. "I'm Mr. Nobody."
I raised an eyebrow. "Really? Your name is Nobody? That's just sad. What do you want?"
He smirked. "Well, my real name is classified. What I want is for you to work with me."
I studied him. "Aren't you afraid I might kill someone?"
He wasn't fazed. "No, I'm not. I've been keeping an eye on you for a while. I know about your hacking into the Pentagon and your time in London. Mrs. Shaw, I'm looking for someone like you to join my team. What do you say?"
I was silent for a moment, considering. "So, if I work for you, I don't go to jail? I can't travel... Let me think about it. Sure, but no deal if I have to see my brother, and I want access to my husband. What do you say, Mr. Nobody?"
He agreed. "Okay then, welcome to my team, Mrs. Shaw."
I smiled. "Call me Isabella, please."
"Alright, Isabella. Enjoy the trail."
He left, and I went straight to Deckard to tell him everything. He was relieved, of course, knowing I wouldn't be going to jail. He made me promise not to lose myself in this, but I assured him I could handle it. I was a grown woman. Plus, I'd get to see him. To end the conversation, I kissed him deeply, and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
Author's Note:
In this chapter, Brian, Letty, and Hobbs all tell Dom off, which I think is necessary, given his stubbornness. It's time for him to accept that Isa and Deckard are married.
I also introduced Mr. Nobody, who recruits Isabella to work for him. This opens up a new chapter for her and takes her away from potential jail time.
Next chapter: Goodbye and BlackOps Site. We're getting close to the end of Furious 7. Who's ready for F8?
As a side note, Deckard and Isabella will have sons and eventually a daughter. Stay tuned!
