Getting ready for our twins
Isabella's POV
Everything was going amazing, life was calm, and we were getting ready for our children. We found out that we were having twins, and the gender was two boys. We decided on green for one and navy blue for the other. We also picked out namesβboth names felt right, and I couldn't wait to meet them.
Decks was extremely excited, but he also had his worries. His father, Matthew Shaw, had been a cruel manβhe beat both Deckard and Owen with a belt. I never met him, as he passed away when Decks was about 13, Owen was 12, and Hattie was 10. Decks didn't like to talk about him much, and I could see that this history still haunted him. I knew he was working on something in the black market, but he was always there for my appointments and checkups, despite whatever else was going on.
I picked up my phone and called him.
He answered quickly. "Isa, is everything okay?"
I smiled, rubbing my stomach as I spoke. "Yes, your boys are kicking me so much, though."
Decks laughed softly. "There, Shaw! What did you expect?"
I chuckled. "Haha, very funny. They're also Toretto, by the way. Also, could you pick up some Raspberry Ripple? The babies are craving it."
Decks laughed again. "Of course, anything for my wife."
"I love you. See you soon," I said.
"I love you, Isa. I'll be home soon, okay?" He replied.
I nodded even though he couldn't see it, and we hung up. I was showing just a bit; I was only in my first trimester, or part of it. The drama around us didn't interest me, and whatever Decks was doing was something I didn't need to worry about. I'd spoken to Dom a little, and Mia had called earlier. It was nice hearing from her. She just named her daughter Oliviaβsuch a beautiful name. Dom and Letty had moved to a place with no contact, living off the grid after everything with Cipher went down.
I loved being in London. It felt calm and peaceful.
I heard the car pull up, and soon Decks was inside. He came in with the Raspberry Ripple I asked for, set the bags down, kissed me, and put his hands on my growing stomach. "Have you been good to Mum, Thomas, and Freddy?" he asked, his voice soft.
I laughed. "Yes, they've been sort of good."
Decks stood up and smiled. "Well, they love you. Now, what does my amazing wife want for dinner?"
I thought for a second. "Shepherd's pie."
Decks smiled even bigger. "Well then, my darling, we will have it."
He got right to work, and I couldn't help but admire how great of a cook he was. I was better than Mia in that department, though she wasn't exactly known for her culinary skills. We enjoyed a quiet dinner together, then had a bath, and later, went to bed.
Meanwhile at MI6
Hattie Shaw sat in her chair, feeling proud as she listened to the meeting about the new mission. It was a big one, but that was just another day in her line of work. Hattie drove home, her mind drifting to her brother, Deckard, and what he was doing now.
So many times, she had told herself to stop thinking about him or her family. They were involved in crimes, and one day, she might need to bring them in. She hoped that day would never come.
Hattie ate alone that night, her thoughts swirling around her. She went to bed, hoping everything would run smoothly, just like every other day.
Little did she know, or her brothers, that it would soon become a rush to save her life.Β
Author's Note:
I had to look up the timeline of Fast and Furious for this. The main reason why I'm not covering F9 first is that it actually takes place after Fate of the Furious, while Hobbs and Shaw happens right after F8. So, we're moving from Hobbs and Shaw, then to F9, and then Fast X.Β
