Isabella'POV

Deckard and I got straight to work on the car. I looked into his eyes, and I knew I couldn't keep this from him any longer. He deserved to know about the baby. I took a deep breath and said, "Deck I need to tell you something."

He looked at me with so much love in his eyes, and I could tell he sensed something was off. "Love, what's wrong?" he asked.

I smiled, trying to ease his concern. "Nothing's wrong. I just have good news." But before I could continue, Little Nobody appeared and said, "Hey, Isabella, I need your help with something."

Deckard shot him a glare, clearly frustrated that he'd interrupted, but I spoke up quickly, "Can it wait?"

Little Nobody replied, "No."

Deck looked at me, his eyes softening. "Go on. I'll be right here waiting for you to tell me."

I nodded and followed Little Nobody to work. But all I wanted was to go back to Decks and tell him he was going to be a dad. I hoped it would be soon.

When I returned, I saw Deck talking with Hobbs. I smiled, always thinking those two would get along, and I wondered if they were hoping for me to patch things up with Dom and Mia.

I walked over and kissed Deck's shoulder. He smiled and asked, "How's everything?"

"Fine," I said. "Puppy Nobody is annoying, but he's a nice guy."

Deck laughed. "I don't know about you, but I can't wait to go home."

I laughed too. "I know. You know your mom is in town, right? After all this is over, you owe her a phone call."

Deckard groaned. "Really?"

"Yep," I teased.

He pulled me close, his hand on my waist. "I'll do it, I promise."

I smiled and added, "Good. Promise me something else. After all this madness, I want a break. I know crazy is in your past, but Decks, I don't want to fight anymore. I want a life... and a family with you."

Decks smiled softly and kissed me gently. "I promise."

We went into another room to rest. With all the craziness going on, we hadn't had the chance to sleep. We finally fell asleep, together for the first time in a while. There were no prison bars, no distractions, just Deckard's arm draped around my waist, holding me close. God, I loved this man. I kissed his forehead, knowing I had to tell him about the baby soon, but right now, we had to focus on saving my stupid brother from Cipher.

Minutes later, someone came into the room and said, "Isabella, Deckard, Dom's location has been spotted."

We got dressed and hopped into the car. Letty and Hobbs briefed us on where Dom was. As we drove there, I looked at Decks and said, "Love you."

He looked back at me and said, "I love you, no matter what. Promise me something—whatever happens here, find my mom and wait for me."

I turned to him, confused. "Deck, what's going on?"

He shook his head, his expression softening. "Nothing. I love you, Isa."

I nodded, trying to reassure him. "I promise, but nothing's going to happen to you."

We got closer to the spot, and I spoke into my mic. "Dom should be turning down this alley. He'll be there."

Roman asked, "How do you know that?"

I replied, "You think you know him because he calls you family, but I'm the one who knows his moves and what he's after. So just trust me."

Letty added, "She's right, Roman."

Roman mumbled something about me being bossy, and I shot back, "Hey Roman, don't make me show you the side I showed Cipher and her brainless men."

We turned the corner into the alley and found Dom. We quickly trapped him.

I could tell Dom didn't want to be in this situation. There was something in his eyes—regret, maybe—that showed he didn't want to hurt us. I mouthed to him, "Dom, please, you don't want to hurt us. You know it. This isn't you. Please, Dom, I know you're a good person. I want to make things right with you. I hate that we're fighting. Please, Dom."

He looked at me, and I knew something else was coming. His eyes darkened, and I could feel that something was about to happen, something I wasn't going to like.

Sorry for the long wait! I hope to finish Love or Family soon, starting with Fate 8, then moving on to Hobbs and Shaw, and Fast X. After that, I'll update this story. I'm taking a break from Fast and Furious stories to focus on other things, but I'll be back to it once I'm done.

With the Hobbs and Reyes spinoff in the works and Hobbs and Shaw 2 on hold, we don't know what's next for Deckard Shaw and his family. If the spinoff happens, it'd be great to see Hattie, Owen, and Deckard together.

I have a feeling something big is coming for Deckard, and Isabella will be telling the gang how she feels about them. Also, Dom and Isabella will make up soon—stay tuned!
