Jimochi :: Hello! This is Jimochi, your interviewer. Please introduce yourself.

Areesha :: I am Areesha, and my username is Crazy_Exotic_Army on Wattpad. I'm an army and I write only Jeongguks fanfics. my focus is on the thriller genre nowadays. nice to meet you.

Jimochi :: Nice to meet you too, Areesha. So, what inspired you to start writing?

Areesha :: BTS, mainly. I heard about Wattpad on the amino app and downloaded it in 2016. been here ever since <3

Jimochi :: Wow! That's long back. In these 4-5 years tell me one of your favourite books you read on Wattpad. It can be Non-Fanfic too

Areesha :: I haven't read many books on Wattpad, I like to read in paperback form but from the ones I've read, "Jennifer two" would be a good one. it's a Watty winner.

Jimochi :: You seem to like thriller and mystery books more. Moving on, What advice would you give a new writer, someone just starting out?

Areesha :: Yeah, it's been a year since I'm into that genre. My advice would be: trust yourself. stop comparing yourself to other writers because it's just toxic and NEVER try to imitate the writing style of others. You should read plenty of books and novels (not fanfictions since 80% of them have plotholes and are full of fan service and romanticism of the idol). my point is that if you read a lot of books and see their way of writing and describing and then try to write, then soon after a while, you'll discover your own writing style. that's what you should aim for.

Jimochi :: That's an amazing idea you have given. Try to cover every genre to get an idea and discover your own writing style. That's a thing every writer should do.

How do you deal with writer's block?

Areesha :: I used to get really frustrated at first. I used to panic and think I am slowly using my writing skills whenever I'd get such a day. but with time, I realized that it's just natural. it happens with everyone. your brain's just taking time to generate new ideas because of course in the end, it's a human brain, not a robot that will work every time you want it to.

Jimochi :: I learned a new thing. I always thought writer's block is something bad to get but it isn't. Our brain just needs some time for new ideas.

Areesha :: yes, you're right. Every brain works at a different pace.

Jimochi :: What, in your opinion, are the most important elements of good writing?

Areesha :: I think the most important element of good writing is the description of the surrounding areas and the whole environment. if you have a plain boring plot but you give a nice description, which you can give by imagining yourself in that specific situation, I think the story becomes 10 times more intriguing. secondly, the important thing is your choice of words. they should be complex, deep, having profound meaning but easy to understand at the same time.

Jimochi :: What is the most difficult part about writing for you?

Areesha :: The most difficult part for me firstly is sitting down to write. it requires a hell of a lot of motivation and effort to take the first step and start. after I take a start, I am able to write most of the time. secondly, it's to maintain focus. since I live with my family, the house is noisy, so whenever I'm writing, I always get distracted.

Jimochi :: I agree with you.

So, What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?

Areesha :: I think it's the psychological analysis of the characters of my story, during intense scenes.

Jimochi :: Which book did you enjoy writing the most? And why?

Areesha :: I would say "case 97" because I got too much attached with its characters, to an unhealthy point. and when it was time to end the book, I simply couldn't let go. but it was fun.

Jimochi :: I read that book. It is one of my favorite Fanfics on Wattpad. I like the mystery and the Jungkook character and also the curiosity vibes I got when I read that book. You have done great work author!
