Pyrite is a SandWing thief living in the Scorpion Den, daughter of a SandWing soldier and general on opposite sides of the War of SandWing Succession, who were both killed by Burn. Growing up in an orphanage, she is crafty, cunning, manipulative, and deceivingly charming. Pyrite has a bit of a weakness for young dragonets and enjoys gardening as a side hobby.

But don't you dare tell anyone that, or she will personally track you down, rip out your throat, and watch you die a slow and painful death.

Note- there is a canon character named Pyrite in Winter Turning, but (spoilers!!) she isn't exactly a "real" dragon, and has a completely different personality and tribe.
