"Ae-ri. A new month is coming." DG huffed, the rapid waterfalls crashing loudly behind them. "I figured it's best for you to know this, but..." Ae-ri was growing tired, her eyes slowly closing and feeling heavy.

"A new month... I've known you guys for a month?" Ae-ri asked, confused. Her symptoms of fatigue were getting evident, her breath hitched and lips purple now. "Yeah. And your brother." DG glanced at Gun and Goo.

They looked somewhat sorry, but they would never say or admit anything of course. "My brother? What?" DG inhaled, preparing for the worst. "Your brother already passed in the middle of October."

Ae-ri's eyes widened. "Minseong?" Ae-ri coughed, DG's grip on her neck tightening. "Kegh...!" She choked for air, instinctively kicking as she struggled. "Lee... Ji... Hoon!" Involuntary drool was seeping down her chin as DG released his grip, throwing her down the waterfall.

A loud splash was heard below, a pile of red mixing in and washing away the current. DG tucked his hands in his pocket. "I wanted to know what she wanted to say though." Goo looked disappointed, maybe a little hurt.

DG shrugged. It was better this way. At least she got to know the truth before dying.

Zero days left.

Yoojin sighed, leaning back into his chair. Ae-ri's case was covered up with ease, ruling it as an accident. Her body was never found, yet a funeral was held for her. The funeral was empty, silent and desolate.

Her empty casket was buried beside Minseong and left to go cold. Yoojin couldn't be happy. This was a predicted outcome, but Ae-ri died too soon. She never even knew the truth. Snow was starting to fill the city, clouding up the streets and fogging his building windows.

He stared out at the city lights, thinking of what he should've done better to have prevented Ae-ri from departing so soon.
It was a shame, really. She did everything for the sake of 'family' or rather, 'to be recognized. '

In the end, all the money he had sent went to their selfish and foolish biological parents who claimed their insurance and hard-earned money once they died. If he could describe their lives in one word, he would describe it as 'tormenting. '

Her death spread all over, Seoul, Gangbuk, Gangseo,Β  Gangnam and Gangdong. When it was heard that she died after ghosting all her friends and came back for revenge, which wasn't true at all, she was nicknamed 'The desolated queen of Seoul.'

Childish and foolish really, especially for someone as mature as her.

Jake almost dropped his bowl when he heard Ae-ri had died, sending flowers in his name to her funeral hall. He would have lit a cigarette for her, but they weren't close and she hated smoking.

Perhaps Samuel was one of the only ones who had time, dropping by her funeral hall, glancing around and leaving after paying his respects. He didn't think someone so ambitious would die so soon, but perhaps it was her ambitions that got her killed.

Johan and Daniel had similar reactions. Daniel was all fine and everything, but he broke down in tears when he went home, realizing the depth of this situation and how evil Charles truly is. Johan didn't think she would die so young, but he happened to be wearing black.

Johan visited her funeral hall, paid his respects and left after ten minutes once he confirmed everything was true. The day he met Ae-ri for the last time, he regretted not saying anything. Not telling her he liked her company not just as a friend and for ghosting her all this time.

Daniel wished he had told her he had feelings for her the day he told her he would destroy the four major crews. He would do anything to go back in time and see her again. He paid his respects to her and brought white flowers, but the holidays were nearing and he had to prepare to go back home, he couldn't spend all his time dwelling over her departure.

Vasco, Zack and Jay weren't very close with her, but they still made sure to visit her funeral hall and pay their respects. When Daniel told them about the reason she fought so hard for, they were silent with a sorrowful look in their eyes. If it was money Ae-ri really needed, Jay wouldn't have minded sparing some just for her brother to recover.

When Hostel received the news, they couldn't believe it. Sally burst into tears, wishing she had persuaded Ae-ri to have never left that day, to have said something to make her stop hurting. It was the same regret she felt with Heather.

Eli and Warren were affected too, their hatred for Charles only growing, but they couldn't do anything about it except for comforting themselves and Sally.

Gun continued on like normal, but her face appeared in his memory from time to time. Would he avenge her? He never learned anything like that. Perhaps the desire of wanting a reality where Shingen chose himself over him weighed deeper to him. Only after she passed did he realize what he felt was love, but for someone who grew without love even experience love was ironic.

Goo was straightforward. The first girl he liked was killed by him. He couldn't avenge her, but he would be sure to continue her path. DG too. Did he, Gun or DG feel regretful? No, not at all. Mournful? Of course, but they didn't regret it.

Goo only followed where money goes, DG had his own reasons, be it Charles blackmailing him or more. Gun too. They all did this for their own reasons, and they would do it again.

The end.
