He sighed as he ran a hand through his soft short blond hair.
He was having a week. Well, more like a month, probably even more, if he started keeping track. He was dealing with Prometheus, a villain, but said villain was evading him to no end. He couldn't for the life of him - not that he actually had one in the first place aside from being the Green Arrow and the Mayor - and he couldn't figure out what he was supposed to do about that.
Right now, Felicity was frowning at him with tears in her eyes because he accidentally killed Billy Malone, Felicity's boyfriend thinking he was Prometheus because that's who they came up with and "found".
He knew he was in the wrong, and he's apologized several times, but she refused to hear him. And while he knew she was upset at him and understood, she should at least let him speak to her and try to get her to understand, but she wouldn't.
Running a hand through his hair again, he redressed in his "mayor clothes", said bye to Felicity, even on deaf ears, and grabbed his stuff before leaving the bunker.
He got onto his bike and drove to his apartment and when he got there, he noticed his door had been opened, and he quickly went into defensive mode and quietly made his way into the apartment.
He heard rustling in the kitchen, and let out a sigh of relief when he saw it was only Barry going through his fridge.
Oliver stood there for a minute watching his best friend going through his kitchen to find something to satisfy him before he cleared his throat and smiled slightly at the jump Barry gave before turning around.
"Ollie!" He said sheepishly, bringing up a hand to rub over the back of his neck. Oliver raised an eyebrow at him and the food in his arms. He had grabbed a bag of chips Thea had left here after a party she threw for the team a little while ago, they were unopened, so they were still good.
Barry set it down on the counter before racing over to Oliver and hugging him tightly.
Oliver loved Barry's hugs, not that he'd ever tell him that. To everyone else, Oliver was stoic, deadly, and broody. But when he was around Barry his stoic attitude turned genuinely free, happy. Barry brought out his smile. His laugh. Barry brought out the old 'before the island' Oliver and he would forever be grateful for him. He gently wrapped his arms around Barry's shoulders and tugged him in further, letting Barry relax against him. He heard Barry let out a soft sigh when he did, and Oliver wanted to kiss his head, but refrained. Barry felt like coming home.
"I needed this," Barry sighed against Oliver, and Oliver rubbed his hand over his back, trying to soothe him. "It's been a bad few weeks, Oliver. I needed a break."
"Me too," Oliver sighed quietly, pulled from the hug, and looked at his best friend. Barry sighed as he pulled away, and he grabbed the bag of chips and opened him, grabbing a handful and eating them.
Oliver raised an eyebrow but walked to his room to put his stuff away and Barry followed him and sat on his bed, watching Oliver.
"So, what happened?" He asked as he stripped off his suit jacket and started unbuttoning his shirt. Barry sighed and flopped back against Oliver's pillows. He looked at Oliver and blushed, before grabbing a few more chips.
"I was Iris murdered." He mumbled, and Oliver looks up sharply at him.
"What?" He asked, and Barry sighed again.
"She's fine right now. It was a future thing, I accidentally ran too fast, and I went to the future and saw Iris murdered. I just needed a break." He looked down, and Oliver pulled on a t-shirt and sweats before joining Barry on the bed.
"I killed Felicity's boyfriend," He told Barry, the speedster's head snapping up at him, eyes wide.
Oliver nodded. "We tracked my villain to be Billy, and I killed him. It wasn't the guy, so now felicity Is pissed at me. So I know how you feel." He sighed.
Barry hummed, and then his eyes lit up and he quickly raced around Oliver's house, packing him a duffle bag with clothes, toiletries, and he stopped for a minute, and then raced out of the apartment altogether and about a minute later he was back with a suitcase and Oliver had a feeling it had his arrows and suit in it.
"We're going on a vacation. Felicity already knows so she'll tell Thea and Dig and the others on your team, and so does my team. We are going to see Kara. I contacted her while I was waiting on you to get home. I just had no idea your problems were just as bad as mine were, though." He smiled when Oliver sighed, resigned and used to his antics.
"Alright, let's go see Kara," Oliver said, smiling when Barry grabbed his extrapolator and clicked a button. A shimmery blue breach opened, and Barry and Oliver grabbed their bags and walked through with them.
