It's great to be next to the one you love right? At least Free thought of it that way. Ever since Valt came to BC Sol, everything seemed better with him around. He was cheerful, determined and very clumsy. But that's what he liked about him; Free loved him.

"Hey, Free! Let's battle!!!" Valt exclaims.

Free woke up from his nap and smiled at him. "Yeah.. sure," he said to the over excited boy.

As they ripped their beys into the stadium, Free's heart began to beat. It was beating fast. Was it because of the battle? Free looked up to see Valt picking up his bey from the stadium. Valt looked at Free; he seemed concerned.

"Hey, are you feeling okay?" he asks.

Free grabs Fafnir and nods. "I'm fine, let's finish this battle," he responds.

Valt was worried about the slender boy; he knew something was wrong. "Free, I think you need to rest; it looks as if you're burning up," he says, walking up to him.

Free sighs and nods; Valt walks with Free to his room, a smile on his face.

"Get better soon...okay?" Valt says, hugging Free softly. Free hugged back, hiding his blush in the smaller male's neck. After what seemed like forever, they let each other go and parted their ways.

There is something wrong with him...Maybe, I should stay in there with him, just in case he needs anything, Valt thought, walking back to Free's room.

What is wrong with me? Free questions himself mentally, putting a hand over his heart, which thumped uncontrollably.

"H-hey Free, I decided to stay in here, just in case you needed anything," Valt says, with a bright smile.

Maybe, he's the reason why I'm feeling like this, Free thought. He sighs and gestures Valt to come his way. "Thank you, Valt," he murmurs before dozing off.

Valt smiled and tilted his head. "Anything for you, Free," he says quietly into his ear. Valt lifts his head, but is brought back down by Free's arms, which wrapped around him.

"Don't leave yet.." Free whispers.

Valt nods. "Then...can I sleep with you?" Valt asks.

Free lets him go and pats the bedsheets to his right. Valt climbs over Free, but stops in place. Free opens his eyes and smiles. "Valt..." Free whispers. Valt lays on top of Free, wrapping his arm around his neck.

"Goodnight, Free..." he says before drifting to sleep. Free wrapped his arms around Valt and held him close.

Mmm...so warm, Free thought. Free fell asleep, feeling warmth from his companion.

I'll tell him tomorrow...if he's willing to accept me.

The Next Day...

Valt and Free didn't wake up, even after hearing the alarm, and unfortunately, Christina was there to solve that.

"Hey, Free! It's time to get up!" Christina says, knocking on the door. Is Valt in there, too? He was pretty worried about Free... she thought.

Overtaken by curiosity, she opened the door just a little and smiled at the scene before her. "I knew it. I knew you could do it, Free," Christina says, then walking off, but not after closing the door very carefully.

Valt woke up slowly, smiling at the blonde that he was laying on top of. "Hey, Free...it's time to get up," Valt whispers into his ear. Free yawned, his grip on Valt tightening and then he woke up.

"Good morning. Did the alarm go off?" Free asks him sleepily. Valt nods, before laying back down. "Though I like laying here with you.." Free's smile starts to falter. "I think you should go," Free murmurs, sitting up.

Valt lifted his head, wrapping his arms around Free; Free followed in suite. "Are you sure that you're going to be okay?" Valt asks, leaning towards the blonde. 

Free nods, looking down at Valt's lips. They look so...soft, Free thought and leaned in. Before the boy's lips could connect, a big bang sounded from the door.

"Valt, get out of there now!" Sisco hollered, fuming.

Valt looks down, slightly disappointed, while Free lifts his head and smiles. "Come, look for me...I'll wait for you," he cooed softly.

Valt cracks a smile, then rolls off of Free.

I was so close...to kissing him. Am I really falling for him? Free wondered to himself.

"What is it, Sisco?" Valt questions him.

Sisco hands Valt a letter, snorting slightly. "It's from Shu Kurenai; he's a friend of yours, right?" Sisco asks Valt.

Valt grins, exceptionally excited to hear from his best friend.

How are you doing? I heard that you got into BC Sol! Congrats! Are you ready for the tournament? I sure am; I'm coming for you, Valt!

Valt flips the letter over, discerning the words of a draft that Shu erased. Sisco seems confused, while Valt's facial expression changes.

I miss you, my Valkyrie...I can't wait to see you again. And, if we do...I have something to tell you. It might sound weird, but please, don't take it the wrong way...

"Shu...I never knew that you felt that way towards me," Valt says, holding the letter to his chest.

"You okay, Valt?" Sisco asks him curiously.

Valt just smiles slightly. " Yeah, I'm fine! Let's battle, Sisco!" Valt chatters with excitement.

Sisco smirked and took out his bey. "Let's do this! I'm gonna crush you!" he exclaims. Sisco and Valt rush down to the training room to battle.

After training, Valt runs off outside, crying. "Free...Shu...how can I choose?" he whispers, wiping his tears. He is deeply in love with Free, but Shu...his best friend, likes him too.

"I like you, Valt. I like you...a lot. No..." Free murmurs to himself. "I love you, Valt." He nods slowly. "I hope that you understand how I feel for you."

Valt opens the door to Free's room, panting and sweating. His eyes were red and puffy.

"Valt!" Free gasps, running up to him, Valt falling into his chest.

"I'm so tired...Free," he says, grabbing onto him.

Free sighs and picks Valt up into his arms, laying him in bed. "Need anything?" he asks.

"I should be asking you that." Valt laughs.

Free smiles; it is a sweet smile. Free goes for Valt's hand; once he reaches it, he caresses it with his thumb. "Is this okay?" he asks.

Valt starts to blush. "Yeah...it's okay," Valt says with a bright grin.

Free then held Valt's hand softly, staring into his eyes. "Then...this is okay, too?" he whispers, leaning in. Free kisses Valt softly on his lips, and as he purrs...feeling their sweet softness. They pulled apart after a moment, and Valt spoke.

"F-free..." Valt says. He kisses him again, putting his arms around him. Free deepens the kiss, and as he did that, he placed a warm hand on his cheek.

They had finally parted. Free smiles at Valt, then averts his gaze. "I like you...Valt Aoi," he admits quietly.

Valt's blush becomes darker, and his heart races. "I- I..." he stutters. Free turns to him, feeling Valt's arms wrap around him.

"I like you, too...Free de la Hoya."

Oh no, what did I do x3. Hi friends! Its Fluffy-chu, publishing a new fanfiction! This one had popped into my mind and wow, I was surprised. I kept thinking about Free and Valt being together, but Valt and Shu is cute also! That's how this Fanfic was born. *cough*

I made a cliffhanger and then I lost ideas. I'm still thinking of them though!

I hope this Chapter was okay, also this chaptie is mostly about Valt and Free's friendship.. in my opinion that should've happened.
