Gru and his family sat at the dinner table. The minions were 'cooking' but were mostly fooling around. 

"How was work?" Margo asked. 

"Did you kick a bad guy's butt?" Edith asked. 

"Oh no, but we learned about a cruel bad guy." Gru said. 

"You did? Who was he?" Edith asked. 

"His name is Valentino. He runs a company that is very dangerous." Gru said. 

Agnus chopped down on her food. She didn't seem very engaged. 

"His name sounds like Valentines." Edith said. 

"He's anything but." Lucy said. 

"So how was school, girls?" Gru asked. 

"Great. A kid showed me a unicorn video." Edith said. 

"I got an A on my math quiz." Margo said. 

There was a knock on the door. 

"I'll get it." Lucy said. 

She gasped when she saw who answered. A small creature with horns and a tail. He wore a black suit and a top hat. 

"Excuse me, may I come in?" He asked. 

"Uhh sure," Lucy gestured.

Everyone starred at him. Agnus looked amazed. He stood on the table. He took of his hat. 

"I am an emissary for The Primp lord." He said. 

"Do you mean Valentino?" Gru asked. 

The creature slapped him hard.

"Only the very few call him that. It's either baby or Daddy." He said. 

"Why you little-" Gru started. 

The creature kicked him. 

"If you don't mind interrupting me all the time, I would like to say he wants to meet the two of you at his club." The creature said. 

"Why?" Lucy asked. 

"Ask him when you get there. A car waits for you." He said. 

"And if we refuse?" Gru asked. 

"Many have accepted his offer, but a slim number have refused. When they did the Primp Lord killed them and burned their house to the ground. He killed their families." He answered. 

"Alright. Let's get in the car." Lucy said.
