((This is long. I'm kinda embarrassed about how badly it's written, but y'know, I wrote all of this so I'm just gonna post it anyway-  I wanted to make a thing where Cam's past is revealed but I didn't know how so this came to mind. This is still something you can roleplay with though, I was just bored and in an angsty mood as well as uplifting- idfk- this mentions depression so- warning-))

"hahAh- I found another machine in Logan's room! I like snooping in here. I'm going to test it out and show everyone what the hell this man is up to- like wtf-" Cam says, placing the phone down as they walked up to the small rectangular metal machine.

They looked down a button on the machine. It was red and glowing.

"...Why's there only one-?" They asked aloud as they pressed it. "Ow- Shit-! It pricked my finger!"

Suddenly the machine started to rumble and growl as it was turning on.

Many holograms popped up out of then air, showing many different scenes, that Cam recognized.

It was showing, their past. Their memories. Even the ones they've forgotten.

"W-What- the-?"

The hologram showed a man, with black hair and eyes, the only color within his eyes were his pupils, which were bright blue.

His face held no emotion, the usual smile on his face was gone as he stared off into the distance, holding onto the small fragile child.

They were but an infant, with the same black tuff as the man who was holding them.

The man was easily recognized by Cam. It was their father, K.

K looked down at the child, and smiled sadly. They were the only thing he had left now.

"Heh. My son.. Cameron Ebony."

*Error*

The hologram switched to a different memory, one of where the infant was now grown up, into a six year old.

"Cam you need to go to sleep." K said, sternly as he looked at his child.

The small child, Cam, groaned, Rolling their head back in annoyance.

"Oh c'mon, Dad! Ten more minutes!" Cam begged, placing their sketchbook aside.

"No, you need to sleep now." K said, walking up to Cam, glancing down at the sketchbook. "...What is this?"

He looked down at the sketchbook, which was lazily drawn, it had a woman a man and a child drawn messily on the page.

"That you, that's me and that mom." Cam said, smiling as K sat down to look at Cam.

"...Mom?"

"Yeah! I don't know what she looks like so I drew her with black hair too." Cam stated, innocently, before looking up at K to see the pain in his eyes. "...Dad.. How come you never talk about her?"

"Hm?"

"All you tell me about her is that she left.."

"...That's.. that's right, Cameron.. She left.." K stated.

"...Are... You going to leave too?" Cam asked, catching K off guard.

His eyes widened as he held onto Cam's shoulders. "No Cam! I promise you, I will never leave you.." is all he said before pulling Cam into a hug.

The hologram switched yet again.

Cam was now fifteen, bruises and bandaids planted every where on their body. Most likely from the other kids. Cam was never really popular at school, considering how indecisive tht were now. Which also meant. That they never had any friends.

Their childhood was lonely.

Cam looked down at their thumbs as they stood Infront of K, wanting to tell him something that has been on their mind for a while.

"...What is it, Son?" K asked, unaware of how much pain that one word caused them.

",...So.. Dad.. you know how.. I'm indecisive?" Cam asked, not looking up at K.

"Yess-?"

"..On.. almost everything?"

"Mhm?"

"Well.. that.. includes my-.. Uh-" Cam cleared their throat not seeming to be able to get the words out.

"Go ahead Cameron, I'm listening."

"..That Includes my gender.. I.. I'm.. non-binary.. dad.." Cam said, squeezing their eyes shut tightly, in fear.

K stated silent, walking up to Cam, and wrapping them in a hug.

"You'll always be my kid. No matter what."

Cam was still fifteen, they walked through the front door, their hood covering their face as they came home from school.

K looked up from the TV, noticing that Cam came home.

"Hello, my little munchkin. How was school?" K asked, raising san eyebrow in question.

"It was good.." Cam lied, them seeming to find the floor more interesting than K's eyes.

K narrowed his eyes as Cam tried to scurry up to their room, but he stopped them suddenly.

"Cam.. look up at me." K said, but with no avail.

Cam shook their head no, their feet shuffling as they tried to go to their room again.

"Cam. Look at me."

"No."

"Cam-"

"No!"

K flung the hood off of Cam, taking notice of their black and purple bruised eye.

"...Cam... Who did this to you??" K asked, furiously.

"I.."

"Answer me!"

"The kids! At school! Okay?? They did it! They always do! They hate me! They all do! I just- I never seem to- be enough." Cam vented, finally.

"No! You are enough! Don't think that you aren't!" K said, capturing Cam in a hug, to which thy returned. "... Remind me to speak with your teachers..."

Cam was seventeen, and it was in the middle of November. They were distant with K, and K began to notice.

It was past diner and Cam didn't come down from their room, which caused K to worry.

He walked up into Cam's room and sat down on their bed. Making his presence known to Cam, who was laying on their bed,  not even asleep.

"Cam. Why haven't you eaten?" K asks.

"Not hungry."

"That's not true, you can not refuse to eat for the entirety of two days and not be hungry." K argued.

"I.. I just.."

K stayed quiet, silently waiting for Cam to complete their sentence.

"...I feel.. Claustrophobic.. like- like I'm- like I'm caved in- i- I don't have any strength to move.. or even the desire to move or the desire to keep.... Living."

"...Cam look at me." K ordered, making Cam flinch but disobey. "Look at me!"

Cam slowly sat up, and turned around, facing K.

"What came first?" K asked, holding onto Cam's shoulders. "The rainbow, or the storm?"

"...what?"

"Answer the question."

"...The storm." Cam answered, looking up at him.

"Exactly. So no matter how bad the storm gets, it'll pass by, and the beauty of the rainbow will come into view. Right now. This is the storm, all you have to do is get through it. And, I'll be here with you."

Cam was silent, thy sluggishly placed their head on K's shoulder and sighed. "..Thank you."

"No!" Cam shouted, as thy figured out how K was sick, with this unknown disease. "You- No! You told me- Y-You told me you'd always be with me.. you promised!! You promised you'd never leave!!"

"Cam... This is something I can't control.. you saw the future. The outcome.. isn't.. good." K sighed.

"Well the future can change!! I can make it change!!" Cam yelled, tears threatening to spill from their eyes.

"...I don't know if you can.."

"Watch me!!"

*Error*

"Fuck!! How do you get this thing to shut off!??" Cam exclaimed, panicking as they pressed the button many times to get it to shut off, as their phone fell an d the livestream ended.
