Elizabeth slowly walked up the clearly homemade porch steps. The steps were not familiar to her nor her three family members that trailed behind her.

Elizabeth looked back to her older sister and gave her an unsure smile, to which her sister returned. Elizabeth stopped once she reached the top of the stairs and mentally congratulated herself on not tripping.

An older woman walked ahead of Elizabeth and met a middle aged man in a suit at the front door of their new home. The man gave her a polite smile "Here are the keys to your new home Mrs. and Mr. Hill".

The ashy blonde haired woman gave the man a flashy grin "Thank you. We love it already" Elizabeth smiled to herself, happy to see her mother and father so happy.

Her mother Maddison, had been with her father Daniel sense they were in high school. They got married right out of school and 3 years later had Elizabeth's older sister, Lacey.

Raising Lacey was very difficult for them because they were still so young, but they eventually got the hang of it and Lacey is happy as ever.

3 Years after Lacey was born Maddison and Daniel decided to have another child, Elizabeth. Elizabeth loves her family, especially her sister. They have always been close.

But Elizabeth has always had this odd feeling of being incomplete, she always kicked herself for this because she knew she was a very lucky girl. She had a family and a roof over her head.

Elizabeth only realized she had zoned out when she noticed her blonde sister leave her side and bringing her suit case into their new home. Elizabeth shook herself out of her thoughts and pushed her ashy brown hair out of her face and scurried into the house.

Her father followed the girls inside and closed the door behind him. Lacey shoved Elizabeth playfully by the shoulder "I get to pick my room first!" The bubbly girl exclaimed before running up the creaky brown stair case.

Elizabeth laughed at her sisters upbeat mood and slowly made her way up the stairs as well. Taking her time and looking at the walls around her, they were a very pale brown with dark oak wood framing the bottoms.

The brown haired girl exhaled lightly before using all her strength to drag her dark purple suit case up the rather loud stairs. Once she got up the stairs she was met with a long hallway painted with the same theme as the stair case.

All the doors were open except for one, which Elizabeth assumed to be the room Lacey had chosen for herself. Wanting to have her own privacy, Elizabeth picked the room across the hall and a few doors down.

As she opened the door Elizabeth was met with the soft color of eggshell white and light seeping in from different ends of the room. She was pleasantly surprised to see the room was fairly big with its own bathroom.

As she went to explore the bathroom and closet she took note of the beautiful full sized bathtub and separate shower, along with large windows already accommodated with navy blue curtains.

She smiled as she closed the door and pushed her suit case up against the closet door which she had yet to open.

Elizabeth opened her room door once again to be met with the door that was previously closed now open and music coming from the open space.

Out of confusion she walked toward the noise and was met with the sight of her dear sister dancing around to her music while unpacking some boxes she must have already brought in.

Lacey saw a silhouette of brown hair and whipped her head around to see her sister, she smiled brightly at Elizabeth and walked across the wooden floor and stopped at the door way, putting her hand on her extremely light pink walls.

Elizabeth looked around before meeting her sisters gaze "So, how do you like your room?" she asked. Lacey took a moment before replying "I love it! The pink really reflects my personality, dontcha think Lizzy?"

Elizabeth rolled her eyes at the nick name before replying "yes I think it does, i'm happy you like it. I'm gonna go get some boxes and maybe force dad to help me bring in my bed" Lacey smiled "Okay, you do you chica i'm gonna unpack too"

After Elizabeth went back downstairs she tapped her father who was setting a box down "Hey dad, could you bring my bed in soon? I'm really tired and I wanna take a nap" Daniel smiled at his youngest daughter "Of course sweetheart. Why don't you go decide where you want it in your room and I'll snag mom and we'll bring it up for you?"

Elizabeth smiled "Thanks dad".

After Elizabeth walked back to her room she opened the blinds on the three sets of windows lined up down her wall facing the back of the house. She took note of the miles of mountains and forest she could see.

The Hill family has just moved to an area surrounded by Hills, how ironic, She thought to herself.

Elizabeth's family had recently moved from Michigan to Vermont because of her mother's work. Maddison worked for a real-estate agency and had a huge house to sell due to the current owners wanting to move out of the rarely sunny state.

After some consideration they figured that there was more opportunity in Vermont for the family then there was in Michigan. Maddison was soon going to close on the large home, she said it was going to a family moving from Forks, Washington.

Elizabeth smiled to herself as she thought of the memory of her mother's happy face as she described the career changing sale.

The tiny girl walked down the stairs and told her father where she wanted her bed located in her room. After waiting downstairs she heard her father yell that her bed was all set up.

She grabbed a few of her own boxes and brought them to her room as she walked back to her room. After Elizabeth set her stuff down she plopped down on her bed and looked at her phone.

The time read 10:23 and Elizabeth needed to get some sleep because the next morning was the beginning of her first day at Green Mountain High School.

She sighed in contempt before drifting off into a deep sleep.
