As Elizabeth awoke to her alarm clock she shielded her eyes with her hand from the bright light coming from her opened curtain. She quickly turned her alarm off and ran over to close the curtains.

As Elizabeth became more aware she heard her mother downstairs cooking and her father watching the morning news on his laptop rather loudly. The petite girl picked out an outfit for school then continued to brush her teeth and hair.

Elizabeth slowly walked down the stairs in her black converse with her long sleeved tan shirt and blue jeans and her senses were filled with the sent of bacon. Her long ashy brown hair bobbed on her upper/middle back as she bounced to the counter.

After eating breakfast with her mom and sister Elizabeth got up with Lacey and began walking toward her sister's car. Lacey sighed "you know, you could be driving yourself right now".

Elizabeth rolled her eyes "I don't like driving, it scares me" Lacey scoffed "You. are. so. weird." She said with a pause in between each word to which Elizabeth replied with "yea I know" sarcastically.

When the girls finally reached the garage they both got into Laceys Toyota Corolla and programmed the GPS toward their new school. Elizabeth took a deep breath and ran her fingers over the tan material inside the car.

After driving through their new town called Bennington the girls arrived at school. Elizabeth and Lacey made their way toward the entrance of the school.

As Elizabeth made her way across the damp parking lot she felt eyes on her and it made her uncomfortable, she didn't like being under the eye of people she didn't know.

After the sisters made their way into the main entrance of the school Lacey turned to her sister "I told you to print your schedule online ahead of time, did you?".

Elizabeth sighed "No, I'm going to pick it up now.", Lacey rolled her eyes "okay, well i'll see you after school. I hope you have a good day!"

Elizabeth smiled "Thanks sis, you too" then scurried toward the door that read 'main office' outside the window. As she entered the office the change in pressure caused her hair to blow into her face.

When she walked up to the desk another tiny looking girl approached her immediately, almost like she was waiting for her. The girl smiled "Hi, I'm Bella" she said with a shy tone to her voice.

Elizabeth smiled shyly as well "Elizabeth" she answered in a shy voice. Bella smiled at her "We just moved here but I kinda know the school already, do you want me to show you your first class?" she asked seeming to already know of Elizabeth's status as the 'new girl' Elizabeth got handed her schedule and turned to Bella.

Elizabeth tucked her hair behind her ear "Really? thanks. It's advanced chem". Bella smiled knowingly as she had a moment of nostalgia hit her.

Bella walked Elizabeth to chemistry slowly as they talked about both their family's and their reasons for moving to the small (rather rainy) state. Elizabeth quickly learned that Bella had a very large family that included 3 sisters and 4 brothers but they were all adopted by their parents.

Elizabeth told Bella their reason for moving and the girls quickly figured out that Elizabeth's mother was actually Bella's parents real estate agent.

After Bella directed Elizabeth to chemistry she waved her goodbye and walked to her own class. Elizabeth walked through the door and was met with a cloudy sight as the chemistry room windows faced her.

She slowly turned her head to look around the room when she locked eyes with a golden pair, she looked at the man with an empty seat next to him and took in his rather pained expression.

The brown haired girl knew she was always a petite person, but she felt so small under his gaze. Like he could snap her in between his fingers, but at the same time Elizabeth had never seen anything so beautiful. It was like he looked into her every aspect and knew her entire soul as they made eye contact, her whole perspective seemed to change for a mere moment.

She quickly shook herself out of her impossibly intent gaze.

Elizabeth gave him a polite smile and his expression stayed the same, angry and pained. Elizabeth scoffed quietly and walked up to the the female chemistry teacher.

"Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I'm a new student." The teacher smiled at her "Oh, welcome Elizabeth, Today we're doing a review so you can see if you've already done this in your last school or not."

Elizabeth smiled kindly "Okay, Thanks- Ms... Kenddly" She said as she slowly read her desk top name tag. Ms. Kenddly chuckled "Of course dear, right now the only spot we have open is next to Jasper sitting in the back" she said as she pointed in the angry blonds direction.

Elizabeth internally screamed "Oh... okay" was all she said before slowly making her way to the back of the classroom. As she sat down next to 'Jasper' she seemed to get really nervous, Jasper could feel her nerves.

Jasper could barely focus in the moment, he knew that in the past Edward had been confronted with Bella and he could barely control himself even with his strong self control.

Jasper had an internal battle, he didn't have nearly as much self control as Edward and he was almost certain he had just ran into his blood singer, her blood smelled so good that he had to physically lock himself up in order to keep himself from tackling her in the middle of the classroom.

Meanwhile Elizabeth was mostly just confused, why did this beautiful boy hate her so much already? She had only been at the school for one day and already had people looking at her like she was a rabbit and everyone else was a cougar.

From his English class down the hall Edward could read both Jasper and Elizabeth's thoughts and prayed that Jasper could pull through this class, he knew the feeling and wasn't sure if his brother could hold himself back.

As the teacher began talking she told everyone to open their textbooks "Oh Elizabeth dear i'm sorry were out of textbooks right now, you'll just have to share with Jasper for today" Elizabeth nervously nodded and turned toward the blond.

He stopped his breathing long ago but he was sure if he got any closer to the girl he would rip her head off, he was scared for the first time sense his family's recent confrontation with the Volturi, he was scared of hurting this girl, she was so delicate and small he was sure that one wrong move would lead to him holding her lifeless small frail body in his arms. And for some reason that scared him more than and it would with any other human, he didn't know why but he knew if he ever hurt this tiny human he could never live with himself.

He looked at the girl who he seemed to have such an attachment to already and he didn't understand it, he didn't often not understand things and he hated that. So he took the annoyance and hatred he was feeling right now and channeled it at the brown haired girl sitting next to him in order to keep himself away from her.

With his emotions cleared all he had to worry about was his thirst, and he knew if he got any closer to the girl he wouldn't be able to control himself, so he just inched the text book over to her with the edge of his hand and let her open it.

After a long class of awkwardly glancing at the peculiar blond boy next to her, Elizabeth quickly left class as soon as the bell went off. But not nearly as quick as Jasper, who went as fast as a human could.

The rest of the day went by slower than death in Elizabeth's opinion. The only other class that stood out to her other than chemistry was her advanced history class which she shared with Bella.

On their way home Elizabeth told Lacey all about her day, especially her awkward encounter with Jasper and his unjustified hate toward her on her first day. Lacey was rather annoyed with the boy just from hearing about him.

After they pulled back into their driveway at around 3:30 the girls headed inside and retreated to their own rooms to do homework. Elizabeth spent hours working on homework for every class except English and Chemistry.

Although the brown haired beauty loved history she was very annoyed with the amount of homework she had received, especially sense it was her first day.

The teachers name was Mr.Fortina and he was a very nice man, but didn't seem to have a real concept of what was the average amount of work a high school student should do.

Elizabeth guessed he had lost the concept due to his old age anyways, he had dirty blond hair but was balding on the top of his round head so she guessed he had invested in some drug store hair dye no more than a few months ago.

After getting done with the seemingly endless amount of homework she had, Elizabeth practically ran down the stairs (nearly tripping several times) as she heard her father call the girls down for dinner.

Elizabeth quickly got a plate and sat down, practically inhaling her food. Both Lacey and Elizabeth loved their fathers cooking, sense their mother was frequently working their father had learned to cook when they were very young.

He had gotten very good at it in all 3 of the girls opinions. Their bubbly mother came running in from the front door still dressed in her work attire (which was a blue pantsuit and golden jewelry to match) and sat down in attempt to have a calm dinner with her family.

At the sight of their mother quickly sitting down both young girls burst out laughing leaving their father to chuckle lightly himself, after a few eye rolls from their mother and wife they all quickly piped down.

After eating a good dinner and Elizabeth explaining her encounter with Jasper once again the girls retreated to their rooms and their parents re located to the couch in order to watch their netflix show on Maddison's laptop (they were rather slow unpacking).

Elizabeth sat on her bed reading her book titled 'Of Earth and Desire' by Megan Paz. Soon after the exhausted girl finally decided to go to sleep. Elizabeth knew she might not sleep well due to all the thoughts running through her brain but was very tired and decided to give it a try anyways.

To her suprise as soon as her head hit the pillow Elizabeth felt a wave of calm ness flow over her and she fell asleep rather quickly.
