So, HanYing just finished healing HaoYue. And by healing, I mean he basically sucked the poison out of the guy. Like, a gross, old-school, mouth-to-wound kind of deal. Meanwhile, miss I'm-too-important-to-help-sooner HuanHuan finally waltzes in at the tail end with some magical medicine. Oh, if only she'd done that earlier, XiShi wouldn't have had to play the desperate fool with HanYing, but she couldn't  go begging HuanHuan to donate her precious blood. I mean HuanHuan would have done it, let's be real. She even considered pulling a dramatic blood-letting show in front of the snakes―which, in fairness, would have landed her in way more trouble, so she was kind of looking out for number one. It wasn't her fault, totally. Still, that doesn't stop XiShi from holding a good, solid grudge.

They're currently chilling back in the same cave where XiShi played midwife―because, why not revisit the scene of the crime? She'd shipped HuanHuan and her crew back to their cave earlier. Apparently, SangYe had a minor run-in with some snakes and got kidnapped, but thankfully, ShenYang played hero and delivered him safely to the mountain. No wonder HuanHuan was so relaxed when she came charging in.

"He's a pretty tough beastman, I'll give him that," HanYing stated, all casual. "Take care of him for a bit, and he'll bounce back."

XueLing was stomping his foot like a toddler throwing a tantrum and FengXiu, surprisingly, was on his side for once. But, even they had to admit, time was of the essence, and XiShi did the right thing to save HaoYue. That snake, though? Still a problem.

"So… you're actually keeping him?" FengXiu asked, finally understanding the situation, or at least, part of it.

"If you don't, I'll just put the poison back in," HanYing shrugged, which is just wonderfully logical.

"I said I would," XiShi sighed hugging the unconscious HaoYue to herself. "Which means I will." She looked them straight in the eye, "But that doesn't mean I'm doing it now. He's going to earn it. Work it off."

HanYing stared at her with wide eyes......

XiShi scoffed and XueLing let out a tiny snort of forced laughter. Of course, she was going to make him pay. "No way in heck am I mating with you before I do with FengXiu." She continued, "HanYing, I said yes to you, for saving HaoYue. For now, at least. Do that for me, will you?" she stated with a straight face. Remember that whole paying up thing? Yeah, she definitely hadn't forgotten.

"Fair enough," FengXiu muttered, completely deadpan.

XueLing groaned. "And we wanted to surprise you..." he added, all butthurt.

" What the...."
HanYing could only see all that happening.
