"You can have anything you want," she stated firmly, her voice laced with barely contained tension. "As long as I, or my family, are capable of providing it." She paused, her gaze hardening. "But make it quick, because if my mate dies, just know you'll pay dearly for real. I won't stop XueLing anymore," she warned, her voice a low growl.

XueLing, a powerful force, was clearly holding back, and HanYing knew it.

"Fine," the man conceded, his tone thoughtful.

Still, the audacity of this man was something else. Standing on enemy territory, making demands, with no backup of his own left. He was something alright, a real piece of work in XiShi's eyes, a complete and utter fucker.

"But still, look at you?" he rasped, walking towards her with a swagger. His fingers were almost touching XiShi's face when a fireball exploded near him, courtesy of XueLing. Even the dying HaoYue, in his weakened state, feebly attempted to launch an ice arrow at him.

Poor baby, XiShi thought, her heart aching for HaoYue.

"You love them, really?" He laughed, his voice mocking.

XueLing was only tolerating this man's insolence because XiShi had asked him to. But if the man didn't reply by the time XueLing had taken ten breaths, he was going to ambush him and tear his throat out. There was no way the man would survive that.

BaiDi and ShenYang stood protectively beside HuanHuan, not wanting to interfere in the tense confrontation.

"You, I'll take you!" What the heck was happening?!

That was it, XueLing was done. He was going to rip that man apart. And then cut him into small pieces and feed him to crows....how dare he ! HOW FUCKING DARE HE EVEN LOOK AT HIS.  HIS , MATE LIKE THAT !

"Sure, I'll do that," XiShi replied calmly, "but heal my mate."

What the fuck, times two?

Everyone was stunned. How could XiShi agree to that? Even HaoYue was flabbergasted, and XueLing looked like he was about to unleash hellfire. And just then...

"The hell! Y'all taking in males... without asking me?! I'm the one getting all the surprises here!" FengXiu yelled as he slithered towards them, a large serpent appearing from seemingly nowhere.
