"Hey sleepy head, wake up," I said as I lean towards Patrice who had fallen asleep shortly after we had started on our journey.

"Mmmmm," she said shuffling.

I smiled as I look over at her. She looked just as lovely in sleep as she did awake. Patrice was indeed a good-looking woman with a body that sent blood pumping to all the right places.

She had on a tight midriff off-the-shoulder white long-sleeve button-front blouse and ripped distressed jean shorts with white Polo slipons. Her hair was flowing over her shoulders in thick drop curls the ends brushing against her braless breast.

It took a lot to remain a gentleman around Patrice. She was the type of woman that made you want to be reckless and dangerous.

"Hey," I said gently brushing her bare shoulder to rouse her from her sleep.

Her eyes flutter open to look at me and with a sleepy smile, she asked.

"Are we here?"

"No, but between your snores and rumbling tummy I best ease the pressure my ears are under," I teased.

"Moof mi nuh snore," she said trying not to laugh. "But as for hungry am starving."

I liked the sound of her laughter. It made me grin at her and reaching to brush a lock of hair from her cheek I told her.

"Thanks for coming."

"Nuh tank mi yet cause with my snoring and my rumbling tummy mi sleep bad," she said smiling widely.

"Mi av weh fi mek yuh sleep propper so mi naah worry bou dat," I responded and my grin broaden as she blushed, looking down at the front of my jeans then glanced away.

There was just something compelling about the way she still maintained a sense of virtue when she blazed with the awareness of need and desire.

"So where are we exactly?"

"We are in Point, Falmouth going to get something to eat at Mystic Flava Restaurant Bar and Grill," I told her and watch as her eyes widen in recognition.

"Ok," she said nodding her head and then informing me. "The girls n I came on a night tour here a few months back and Nikki celebrated her birthday day here in January. The tour was fun and d entertainment lovely but mi neva guh inna d wata mi naah swim a no night even if d wata did look appealing with the lovely blue glow."

I chuckled at the way her face got animated as she relayed that bit of information.

"Well the sous chef and I are great friends and the food here is good, to be honest, it's the food for me," I told her.

"Mi realize yuh a foodie but weh mi waah fi know a which part e guh?" she giggled.

I gave her a devilish grin and reach for my pants zipper and made to unzip it.

Behave she screeched reaching for my hands to stop my progress. I laughed as her face once again turn red. She was truly a breath of fresh air for me.

"But it's not like yuh neva sei't so yuh know," I grin teasingly.

"Gweh nuh," she said pushing me playfully. "Come, mi hungry."

We got out of the car and after ensuring it was locked we walk hand in hand from the car park to the sweet succulent scents of what awaited us. The jerk scents were already permeating the air and the late afternoon crowd was already seated and enjoying their meal.

We found a table near the boardwalk where the boats were decked for the tours and shortly after a waitress came her greeting warm as her bright smile. After handing us a menu she waited patiently for us to order.

I got the curried goat with the steam veg and rice and peas and Patrice had jerk chicken with steam veg and rice and peas with two glasses well cold lemon beer.

"Need a pic of you," I said after the waitress left and I saw her give me a reluctant look before she smiled a got up. With a satisfied smile, I snapped the pic and promptly save it as my lock screen picture.

I watch as she looks down at the phone. I had placed my phone on the table and as her eyes came up to mind I only smile. I was not here to force her into anything but I was out to let her see just how much I cared for her.

I also wanted to get to the matter that was still looming between us but for now, I wanted her to relax and know that I am here for her.

We sat there taking in the warm afternoon sun and the cool sea breeze accompanied by the mellow sounds of Taurus Riley coming through the speakers. My eyes linger on her as she took in her surroundings.

I really hoped that after these few days were over whatever was building inside of Patrice for me would hold permanently.

Our food arrived shortly and I smile as Patrice stared at her plate appreciatively.

I grinned at the waitress who grinned back a little too openly.

"If there is anything else you need you let me know," she said before reluctantly moving away.

I secretly bask in the delightful feeling of Patrice's scowl as she noticed that our server was being a little too customerly friendly.

"Mi can bet yuh seh a nuh ar waitressing services she a talk," Patrice mumbled as she unwrapped her fork.

I hid my smile behind a mouthful of my curry goat and raised an eyebrow at her but she only glared at me before turning her attention to her plate.

I was honestly going to enjoy having Patrice to myself. It was clear to now see that I was right in taking her away from the distractions that stood in the way of us coming into what was forming between us. There was something building and I was ready to lay the foundation.

"Nuh worry a nuh Kaydian services mi waah," I said after swallowing the spicey curry goat.

I stared at her as her dark eyes bore into mine and after taking a drink of her beer she said a little too calmly.

"Why yuh experience her service already and found it wanting?"

"Ouch," I said trying to hide my smile of delight, knowing that Patrice was getting jealous of another woman's interest in me was boosting my ego.

She turn her attention back to her plate and once her eyes were off me I grinned at returned to enjoying my lunch. I watch her stan at her jerk kitchen and realising she was truly upset it dawned on me that maybe I was getting a bit carried away.

I best not get too carried away. I might just let my carefree attitude push her back and carry me more steps backwards than forward.

When she looked up and our eyes met I reach out and take her hand that rested on the table.

"Hey, I am here with you because I want to be," I told her. "These few days are for us."

"Is this because you think I might be pregnant?" I heard her ask and as if realising what she said I saw her pull away.

"In all honesty Patrice I wanted you long before the possibility that you might be carrying my child."

She stared down at her plate and then back at me. I waited for her to speak but she said nothing.

"I know why I am here with you," I said breaking the silence between us. "It's you who need to know why you are here and why I want you here."

She swallowed and look at our joint hands when her eyes found mine they were glistening with unshed tears.

"This is not the time or place," I told her I did not want to spoil the relaxed atmosphere that we were sharing thus far.

She nodded and the remainder of our meal was eaten in restrained silence.
We have a long drive ahead and it's best we get a move on.

I was using these three days that were really slated for business to mix in this personal affair between us I had to act wisely. I did not want to rattle the bridge when the foundation was not so sturdy.
