TEDDY PACED outside of the summer house, keys in her hand and thoughts racing through her mind. She was on her way to Lucas' house before she stopped herself. She couldn't be with him anymore. She needed to end it for good.

Her mind went to Kai. Why did she hate him so much? It was like she hated his face. She hated everything about him. But, as soon as she saw him every bone in her body felt as if she was about to explode.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a door opening. She sheepishly smiled at Jeremiah before seeing him roll his eyes.

When Jeremiah opened the door and saw her smile— the smile he recognized as home, he felt at ease, the nerves in his body finally calming. He imagined himself running into her arms, holding her and kissing her at the sight but, he could only pretend.

"Didn't know you were back here," he mumbled going to sit down on the pool side, laying his body down. Teddy locked eyes with him, trying to peace what was wrong with him. "Are you sure your okay? You've been kinda acting weird lately."

Jeremiah looked up at her words, fighting back everything he has wanted to tell her in the past three days. How he realized that he has only ever wanted to be with her, that he loves her. But, he couldn't. He wouldn't.

"I'm good," Jeremiah gave her a tight lipped grin, looking down at the keys in her hand, "Where you headed?"

"Lucas's," she saw how his demeanor changed, shaking her head, "I'm ending it off with him, I mean."

Jeremiah's face softened, "What happened?"

"Nothing. Just should've listened to you." Teddy shrugged, trying to lighten the mood which only seemed to aggravate him more. "Yeah, you should've."

She tilted her head, sucking the inside of her mouth as she could no longer stay quiet, "Okay, stop. What's your deal? Tell me," she tried so hard to demand him but, it was almost like she was pleading for his answer.

"Nothing!" Jeremiah closed his eyes at his harsh tone, shaking his head, "It's nothing. Just go."

Teddy opened her mouth to speak but, nothing came out. She didn't know what to do but walk away. She didn't know what she had done. Why he was feeling so angry at her.

Jeremiah didn't know either. But all he knows is that he loved her. And he wanted her to feel the same or at least in the way he does.

All he knew was that he wanted her. He wanted her touch, her laughs, her smile; Teddy was all he had ever wanted and he didn't even see it. She had been infront of him all of this time.

Teddy knocked on the door, her palms sweaty as she wiped it off on her jumper, putting a smile on her face once she head the door unlock. "Hey, gorgeous." Lucas immediately bit his lip, lifting her chin to kiss her.

She barely kissed back, awkwardly pulling away as he let her in. She didn't say anything to him until he spoke halfway up the stairs, "I haven't seen you since the fourth. How you holding up?"

The way he talked to her made her feel like he had nothing going on, but she was to smart to not see the real him through his lies. "Um, pretty good. Just enjoying my time this summer, you know?"

He nodded, taking a seat on his bed, patting a spot for her to sit. He pulled her into a hug, and she seeked it in, knowing this would be one of the last times she ever did that. But, her comfort was cut off by the feeling of a hand trailing down her back and a pair of lips kissing her neck.

Teddy tried to calm herself, her heart beat racing with anxiety as she closed her eyes, feeling him forcefully tilt her head. She opened her eyes with annoyance, letting the words blurb out of her mouth, "We should break up."

Lucas stopped his movements, pulling back as he looked at her. "What?"

"I know what you did," she could see his eyes fall in shock, making her continue her words, "You are with Amber again."

Lucas got up from his seat, staring at the wall before turning around to look at her, "Who told you?"

"So it's true?" Teddy stood up, sarcastically laughing to herself in disbelief, "Who told you." He sternly said.

"What the fuck does it matter? What matters is you were taking me on dates, acting like you cared and then I found out it was a waste of time." Teddy spoke, pointing at him with anger. "What was I to you?"

Lucas stayed quiet, before laughing hysterically, making her face go confused as she waited for him to stop laughing, "You really thought that I liked," he paused looking at her up and down, "You?"

"It was all fake, just to see if you would get into bed with me." Lucas shrugged, "They always say the good girls are the sluts." He took a step forward to her, leaning close to her face. Teddy gulped, slapping him harshly across the face. "Fuck you."

Her breathing increased, seeing him pause completely, his head swinging to the other side as he moved his chin.

Teddy couldn't no longer hold it in, letting out a coarse sob before walking backwards, leaving him standing there in shock. Teddy held her own body, jumping into her car and not hesitating to drive off, pressing her foot on the gas.

Jeremiah Fisher and Belly Conklin were a giggling mess later that day, watching as their moms were high off their asses and Sam was listening to their every command, handing them snack by snack.

But, as the day died out, he had wondered if Teddy was okay. He hadn't heard from her since their argument and it was weirdly uncomfortable. Of course, they had argued before but, not like this. Not over a relationship.

He jumped up at the sound of stomping and sniffing down the hall, swinging his door open to see a puffy faced Teddy rushing up the stairs.

She barely noticed the door open, having to take a double take as she looked around his concerned face from a far. Jeremiah ruffled his eyebrows, making her shake her head as she rushed over to him with her arms open, tucking her head into his chest as she hugged him.

Jeremiah gave in at her cries, squeezing her back as he held her head in his hand, pulling her closer to him as she lightly cried into his chest. He stared at her as she pulled away, wiping her tears with his thumb as he gulped loudly, "I should've listened to you. He only wanted me for— I'm sorry," her words tried to force themselves out but it was covered with a sob, making his heart emotionally break.

Jeremiah couldn't even bare her cries, placing three quick kisses on her forehead as he pulled her back into him, her emotions becoming his as he could feel the hurt. He wished he could have known. He wished he was the one to find out, because he would have made sure he would never have been able to hurt her again.

Teddy felt her heart being lifted at his touch, pulling back as he grabbed her hand, pulling her into his room as he cracked the door shut. She stared at him, watching as he sat up on bed, patting the spot next to him.

"Just because we aren't thirteen anymore doesn't mean you can't come lay with your best friend and talk about it." Teddy cracked a smile, crawling onto the bed next to him, her hands trailing to his waist as she got comfortable next to him.

His eyes closed with comfort, and Teddy slowly looked up at him, her eyes staring at all of his features. He wasn't asleep but, her stolen glare wasn't gonna last long. It felt like hours as she stared at him, trailing her hand to his cheek. This made her confused pulling away quickly as she shook it off.

Her eyes closed and she drifted to sleep in the arms of Jeremiah Fisher.

But, when he woke up and saw her, he couldn't believe it. He smiled to himself, slowly setting her off of him as he walked downstairs.

Jeremiah didn't think of his actions when he saw Belly swimming in that pool. He didn't think about what it would be like if he had just waited for the girl to finally give him a chance. But, their swimming bodies were like a magnet. Their conversation got quieter and closer by each moment and the tensions were high.

He found himself kissing Belly Conklin that night. Jeremiah didn't want to think about Teddy. He didnt want to want her. But, he did. No amount of distractions can change that.
