𝐢𝐢. belly and teddy

THE NIGHT before was a blur for Conrad and Teddy. But, all they knew was that they were never drinking like that again, as they seemed to not only get into a fight but also not be able to stop throwing up.

"Okay," Trey held her hair back, looking away from the sight. "What the fuck did I do last night?" Teddy whined, moving away from the toilet and onto the wall, "Well, you played drinking games for a good thirty minutes, got shitfaced and then fought Amber." Teddy slightly tilted her head trying to remember who Amber was.

"Lucas's ex girlfriend." Teddy gagged at his words quickly moving back towards the toilet, making him quickly react as he grabbed her hair, Trey didn't even blame her for the reaction.

Jeremiah fisher was trying to ignore the gagging coming from upstairs, blending the smoothie for the two of them. "How is she?" Jeremiah asked as Trey walked over to take a seat on the island. "Not good. She might actually die, her words." He emphasized, Steven and Jeremiah carefully analyzed the blender. "Can you please just hurry up?" Conrad yelled.

"Just go back to bed," Jeremiah said before feeling Steven's presence behind him, "All right, seriously, Steven, get out." He groaned, "Oh, come on!" He chuckled, "This is a delicate science and your heavy breathing is gonna break the yolk." Jeremiah said.

Teddy came downstairs, pushing past Jeremiah, sneakily holding an envelope. He didn't thinking anything of it, watching her place it down on the table before hurrying back in the kitchen, where she met him,

"Here," Jeremiah said, handing her a smoothie, "What's this?" Teddy smelt it, making a face at the green juice. "My hangover smoothie, it'll help I promise." He said, moving her ponytail off of her shoulder as she nodded, taking a drink of it as she went to take a seat. "Oh and Teddy, your dad left to do something he told me to tell you." Teddy nodded, "Thanks, Laurel."

"Come on, man. Hurry your ass up. All right? I can't be late for my first day of work." Steven demanded, clapping his hands impatiently, "We won't. Were good."

"Those old country club boomers are gonna tip me so hard, man, they won't know what hit 'em." Steven bucked his hips forward, putting a hand on his pants as Teddy crinkled her nose, "Stop, Steven, your gonna make me throw up again." Jeremiah laughed at her response, watching her gulp the drink. "Steven, I swear."

"Good morning," Belly greeted, "Belly, where have you been? Is that a bruise?" Teddy looked over to see what Laurel was pointing out, widening her eyes, "I bumped into someone." She obviously lied.

Teddy locked eyes with Jeremiah, forming her lips a smirk and he could practically feel his knees nearly buckle, returning the soft smile. He always admired how pretty she looked in the mornings. "Um, cereal?" He asked Belly, who nodded, "Hit me."

Teddy nudged Belly's shoulder, "So, who's the boy? More specifically is he cute?" Belly laughed, leaning her head on the girls shoulder as she took a bite of her cereal.

"Oh my god!" Susannah came rushing in, holding two envelopes. "Teddy and Belly are gonna debutants!"

Jeremiah widened his eyes, "It's really not that big of a deal." Belly said. "I'm sorry. Like, Belly? Like, my sister? Like, that thing right there?" Trey laughed, "Teddy, all I gotta say is, please don't break a leg tryna waltz cause I will not help." He said, leaving the room to sit on the couch. "Shut up, cretons."

"Okay, this is gonna be so much fun. Just you wait. There is, there's the tea, the auction, the ball, of course, the rehearsal. I got to write this down." Just as they thought her smile couldn't get  wider, "We've got to go shopping!"

"This sounds expensive." Sam came through the door, walking in as he placed a bag down at the door. He placed a soft kiss on Teddy's forehead, rubbing her shoulder, "Oh, don't worry, Laur.
It's on me. It was my idea after all, and we still need to style you for your book party, so."

"What's going on?" Sam asked, pouring cereal into a bowl as he looked at the conversation happening infront of him. "Me and Bells are gonna be a debs, Dad." Teddy softly smiled, nodding to him.

He was in disbelief, looking at Jeremiah, "We had no idea about this." He shrugged, "Are you sure you want to do this, Belly? It just doesn't seem very you." Teddy rolled her eyes, knowing the next person to chime in was Conrad, "Its not." Susannah took a deep breathe as Belly moved to take a seat at the table, "Now who wants to be their escorts?"

"Not me I went last year." Conrad said, "Yeah, and I swore off balls." Jeremiah spoke, "Awe, guys, don't fight over us." Teddy sarcastically said, Belly agreeing. "I'm not going with either of you. I'm going to find my own date."

"Yes, Belly," Teddy proudly said, "Who are you taking?" Sam asked.

"Dad, I don't know. But, as Belly said, my own date." Sam shook his head, "Susannah, I hate this idea." He grumbled, "It's time for our girls to get out there." She comforted him, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Teddy quickly stood up, "I'll go get dressed."

Jeremiah quickly put the spatula down, rushing to follow her. Teddy was confused as a soft hand grabbed hers halfway up the stairs. She smiled as she realized it was only Jeremiah. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to make sure you were okay from last night." He said, pulling her a couple steps down towards him. "I'm good. Just a few battle scratches is all." She shrugged, "You should've seen Amber." Jeremiah laughed. She rolled her eyes, beginning to walk back up the stairs before he pulled her once more,

"One thing," he felt his breathe hinge as he was now looked down at her, face to face. "Be careful with him. Lucas, I don't trust him. Not with you." Teddy slightly bit her lip anxiously, "I'm not a little girl anymore, Jere. You don't have to protect me." He shook his head in disagreement. "Your my best friend. Yes I do."

Her heart begun to beat in her chest as he drew circles in her hand, holding a loving stare with her. She slowly dropped her hand from his, "You should go." She said, hearing the calls of Steven. "I should. I'll see you when I get back."

The coldness of her hand made her feel weak. Confused, even. Why was he suddenly worried about who she talked to? This summer felt so different. She'd always known Jeremiah cared for her, but not like this. He was different.

She couldn't shake the feeling off, even when her dad told her it was time to go. The smallest thing he did could make her feel as if she was floating. Her mind and her heart. She was on cloud nine thinking about him. Until, she was shoved into a dressing room with a fascinator.

"Susannah, I don't think I like this hat very much." Teddy said, scrunching up her face, "You look beautiful. All the girls are gonna be wearing one." She shrugged, "I don't know about this." Laurel stated.

Susannah was always the free spirited friend in their friendship. She kept them together like glue. She kept everything together because she was  Susannah. That's what she did.

Teddy and Belly began finding funny hats, posing with eachother. "Oh, god put that away."

The two of them finally found dresses. Teddy with a pink and white floral dress and Belly with a blue and white one. And of course, matching fascinators.

Next stop was dresses. Teddy was not to excited about jumping in and out of heavy dresses for two hours. "I love that," Susannah said, whilst her dad and Laurel gave eachother disapproving looks. "Next!" Her dad yelled, Belly now walking out.

They were there for almost an hour, dress after dress before Teddy finally walked out. She seen her dads eyes light up, Susannah and Laurel both looking at eachother.

She turned to look in the mirror, in shock at her own appearance. She could imagine herself walking through the debs introduction, arm in arm with the boy she will be deemed to love forever.

"This one," Teddy nodded, a smile forming on her face as she turned to look at her family for approval. "I agree." Susannah said, making them agree.

Belly was just in awe. Her sister was just the prettiest girl she had ever seen. Belly had to admit, she had always looked up to Teddy, always coming and calling to her for advice as she knew this would be the right person for anything. Now, they were going to be debs together. Dancing in the same room. She could already see it.

Teddy laughed happily as Belly ran to hug her, them both slightly falling over. Susannah and Laurel grabbed each others hands as they're two special girls reminded them of themselves.

"We're gonna be debs!" Teddy jumped happily, clapping her hands together, Belly giggling as she took her in her arms once more.

Her dad, Sam was terrified of this thought. He blinked and she was already wearing a white dress, arm in arm with the person of her choice. It was to much for him to take it.

He didn't even notice how sad he was until he parked his car in the driveway, looking towards his daughter. Her hair seemed to have never looked prettier and the makeup on her face resembled her mother so much. She smiled at him, wrapping her arms around her father, "Thanks." He wrapped his arms around her, nodding.

"Knock em' dead, Bear." She nodded, holding her hand out as they did they're handshake. She had known this since she was nine, knowing every step to him, finishing it off with a dramatic gun shot, making him fall back into the car door. "Your stupid," she said, grabbing her phone as she opened the door.

"Yeah, yeah." He tried to play it off, letting her walk out the car. His little girl. Apart of him was so proud, but the other proud wanted to protect her from the heartbreak of silly little boys and girls for the rest of his life. But, he had to let her do this.

Her heels clacked against the floor as she made her way in the building, immediately noticing the group of boys that swung their heads to look at who had walked through the door. It seemed like they were waiting for somebody.

She was to busy confused on why they were whispering she didn't even see the boy walking ahead of her with a drink. The cold beverage hit her body as her jaw dropped to the floor. The blonde boy infront stared in shock.

"What the fuck!" She shrieked. "Sorry, I didn't see you." He laughed in her face, "You didn't see me— maybe open your eyes, next time." Teddy spat, practically fuming with anger.

"You should pay attention. You were to busy staring at my friends you didn't even notice me," he took a step closer, "I don't wanna notice you, I have somewhere very important to go and you ruined my dress! Asshole," she cursed and he nodded knowingly.

"Ah, your a deb." He teased, "Didn't mean to ruin your stupid little gathering," Teddy rolled her eyes, "Who even are you?"

"Kai," he held his hand out, but she only shoved him out the way. "Damn." His friends laughed.

Jeremiah watched afar, debating whether he should interfere until somebody was quickly running up the stairs towards the angry girl. "Seriously, Kai." Lucas angrily spoke, placing a hand on her back as he guided her up the stairs.

"Lets get you cleaned up." He said handing her some napkins. She was shocked to see him, nodding. Her eyes couldn't break from his face as he took her to a corner.

He watched as she cleaned herself up, groaning angrily. Lucas giggled to himself, "A deb, huh?"

"I know it's stupid," she sighed, "No, no. It's not stupid at all. I just didn't expect you to be the type of girl to be a deb." He shrugged. "And why not?" Teddy lowered her napkin, tilting her head.

"Well, by the way you punched amber in the face and tackled her like a football player. How did you even know how to do that?" Lucas laughed, making her crack one.

That damn smile.

"My brother is a football player. And my dad boxes. So, I have to train with both. It's kinda annoying but it helps me," she was cut off by a set of lips smashing onto hers. She held her breathe, dropping the napkins as she stood on her tippy toes to wrap her arms around his neck.

When he pulled back, she only moved to kiss him once again. Though, he pulled back. "Sorry. I don't mean to leave you hanging but aren't you late?" Lucas grinned.

Teddy giggled, "Yeah. Walk me?"

He nodded, lifting his thumb to fix her smudged lipstick.

Belly was shocked to see her walk into the room with Lucas' hand on her waist, ignoring the questions her table were throwing at her. "Sorry I'm late, there was some troubles." Teddy said.

"This cannot happen ever again. Late is not accepted," the lady demanded, making Teddy nod her head, "Table two."

Teddy looked up to see Belly and Gigi sitting at one table, both wide eyed. "Thanks for walking me." She turned to look at him, "And the napkins."

"Anytime," she began to walk towards her table before she was stopped, "Tonight, 6 o'clock, ice cream and baywalk. Text me your address?" It was almost like he was demanding and questioning his words at the same time. But either way it sent chills down her body. "Yeah. Yeah, I'll call." He nodded, letting go of her hand as she quickly rushed to take a seat.

Belly stared in shock as Teddy took a seat next to her, "Tell me everything."
