This chapter contains Kayden's point of view, all throughout the story!

My schedule is free today and I have nothing else to do that's why I decided to go to the nearest coffee shop. Of course, I also have to be careful.

It's hard for me to always go out by myself. All I do is always think about her. Era. My best friend. I sighed. How is she? Is he okay? I sighed once again. Why do you keep on thinking about her Kayden? She's happy now. With that guy.

"You pig!" I can still remember how they always bully her. She just stood there. I have this feeling in me that I have to help her. So I went to them and helped her.

"What are you doing with my girlfriend?" I asked once I got in their place. Irene was looking at me.

"K-kayden,"

"I said what did you do to my girlfriend Irene?!" I shouted at her. I'm irritated. Is this what she always do? Bully her?

"So, Irene. Does she always do that to you?" I asked Era as we eat. She's a good cook I can say.

"Y-yes. Ever since I transferred school, she bullies me a lot." She replied and looked down. I feel bad for her.

"Why?" I asked. What's Irene problem? Can she focus on her life instead?

"I don't know. S-she always do that. Sometimes, she'll do worse. I don't even know what I did."

"This school sucks!" She said and chuckled. I was strucked. She sounded cute.

"Yeah, it is." And then we become silent again. This is too awkward.

"Why are you talking to me? You shouldn't be talking and eating with me." She suddenly asked. I know she will ask about this, but I smiled and looked at her instead. 

"Why not? I want to be friends with you." I said and chuckled. Her eyes widened.

"I don't m-mind at all." She said. I don't know what's with me, but I ruffled her hair and she  immediately looked down. She's cute.

"Don't be shy. We're friends already right?" I said and smiled. She nodded and smiled.

"Good. You done eating? I still have class later tho." I said and she nodded.

"Let's go." she said and we went to my class.

"I'll see you later." I said and smiled.

"Huh? Where are we going?" she asked.

"Uh, let's eat again? I don't know. Let's see later. Okay? Take care Era-ssi." I patted her head and smiled. She smiled back. I don't know why, but I really want to get close to her.

And yes, we did. She became my best friend. She was always around me, I'm protecting her to everyone who's bullying her. That stopped eventually, which I was really happy. I also noticed this bubbly personality of hers.

There's this transferee, Therese. Well, she's beautiful but I believe my best friend is way more beautiful. I told Era about Therese but she seemed okay with it.

One time, while there was a program being held at school, she didn't come. She was missing for 7 hours! I got mad and angry. I was also nervous, wondering where she was that time. But she came back cold. And I really wonder why.

She glow up. She fixed herself. She now put a little make up on her face, she dress well. I was confused. Is she dating soemone now? If she is, why didn't she tell me?

We fixed our problem and became friends again. One time I saw her with a guy, my head boil. Why the hell is she with that guy? It's supposed to be me! Just me!

And then I came to realize, I'm in love with Era. I'm in love with my best friend. And I have no plans on telling her, I think it's better if I keep it to myself.

She told me I should audition for Source Hit, a big company. Since she pushed me to do it, I did it. Luckily, I was chosen. So, I have to leave school and transfer to another school. That's when I met my members, Max hyung, Jake hyung, Justin hyung, Heesh hyung, Eros and Keon. I treated them as my brothers. I was away from Era. We keep on practicing, training and then practice again. Which is harder than I thought.

I told Era about me being chosen for the new Source Hit boy group and she was excited as me. I should thank her, she's the one who motivates me to do it.

"Where's Era?" Mom asked me. I hugged her and chuckled.

"Why do keep on looking for Era eomma? I'm here." I pouted.

"I also miss your best friend, hmmm or should say your crush?" She teased me. I laughed.

"Eomma, stop it." I said and covered my face.

"Aigoo, my Kayden is shy. Why don't you tell her about your true feelings son?" She suggested. I shook my head.

"Aniya, it's better this way."

On my birthday, she got me a puppy. We named him Cooper. Mom was delighted about it and I brought Cooper at the house, while having my training. One day, I saw Era far away with a guy, she's blooming. We talked about eating lunch together. She agreed. I miss her.

"Era-ssi, who's that?" I asked her. She just replied that it's the new guy in the campus. I guess he was just trying to make a move on my Era. But I would never let him, not even let him touch her.

"You should stay away from us Kayden Kim. I'm Era's boyfriend now. I don't want to see her being with you. Do you understand me?" He said seriously. Is he serious?

"And why would I listen? I think you are only joking, are you a clown? Or are you the whole circus? Because damn, you're so funny." I smirked.

"Stay away from Era."

"And why would I? She's my best friend."

"Exactly! Know your limitations as a best friend. She's happy with me now. Stay away." He said and went away. I gritted my teeth. How come Era never told me about this? I'm hurt.

"At least give these letters to her Klaus," I said and hand him my letters to Era. He chuckled.

"Okay, you'll leave us now right?"

It was the hardest decision ever.

"Yes, take care of her for me please." I said. He just nodded.

I went away.

It was my graduation day. I was happy but at the same time, I was not. I wish Era was here with me. I called mom to be fast because the ceremony is almost starting.

"Eomma, ppali!" I exclaimed. She just chuckled.

"Ne, we're almost there! Appa is here also." She said. I smiled. At least my family is complete.

"Arrasseo, I'll wait for you. Saranghae eomma!"

"Nado saranghae son." They said in unison.

"You two are finally graduating! Happy birthday to you too Kayden-ah!" Max hyung told us. Eros is beside me.

"I can't wait hyung and gomawo!" I exclaimed. Minutes later my phone rang again. It was from eomma.

"Yeoboseyo eomma? Where are you?"

"Hello? Is this Kayden Kim?"

"Ah, ne! Waeyo? Where are my parents? Why are you holding their phone?" I got nervous for no reason.

"You're parents are here at the hospital. They met an accident nearby a school, but sadly, they didn't make it. They keep on murmuring your name, your Kayden right?"

I feel like my whole world was torned into pieces. We were just talking earlier? Right?

I recieved my diploma without my parents with me. I was crying. I am heartbroken.

I was depressed. It was hard for me to cope up. I have no one with me now. First Era, and now my parents. Why is life so unfair?

"Kayden-ah? You need to compose yourself. I know it's hard but few weeks from now you're debuting." The PD told me. I nodded and sighed.

How can I fcking move on from it? I was devastated. I don't know how to cope up.

"Kayden-ah, we're here." Jake hyung said and hugged me. I was crying.

At least I have my members, whom I treated as family now.
