I went directly to a nearest grocery store to buy the ingredients that I will be using later. I'm cooking. After buying the stuffs, I went to a cake shop and bought a cake. I smiled.

I kept my phone and drive to Kayden's place. I look at the skies. It's so beautiful. There's lots of ads for Kayden's birthday. I'm happy. People around the world are celebrating it.

"Kayden-ah, gwaenchana?" I whispered.

I actually felt bad. I feel sad. After all this years, Kayden has been hurt. I was deeply saddened to hear of his parent's passing. They were such a great inspiration to me. They helped me. They treated me as their own daughter.

Death is a thief in the night. It steals from us without warning or explanation. It takes treasures we'll never replace.

It steals memories, moments and expectations we spend our entire lives compiling neatly in our minds for safe keeping, only to find out they were never really safe at all. What's more painful is that they have taken away his parent's on his special day.

I should've been there.

He needed me the most. He needed someone whom he can lean on to. I feel like crying again.

I arrived at Kayden's place and sighed. I'm glad nobody noticed me. Should I get in? I tried opening the door but it's lock. I sighed and wait outside. It's almost 6 in the evening. People at the dorm are probably eating and asking where am I.

I put all the things I've brought down and held my phone. I received lots of text messages from the girls and Keon. I didn't replied, instead I turned off my phone and waited for Kayden to arrive.

I checked the time. It's 6 in the evening. Where is he? I'm tired already. I want to sit down.

"Kayden-ah, where are you?" I whispered and sighed. I sat down and looked around.

Moments later, a pair of shoe is in front of me. I looked up and saw Kayden looking at me.

"What are you doing in here?" he said in a cold voice. I stood up immediately and fixed my dress.

"Ah, I'm... I'm just..." I said and picked the foods.

"Shouldn't you be at your dorm with my members? What are you doing in here?" He asked as he opens his door. He went in and I did the same.

"A-ah, I bought foods and some ingredients to c-"

"Put it there. And leave." He said and removed his jacket.

I looked at the cellophane he was holding. It was full of beer cans! Justin oppa is right. He's drinking all by himself.

"Yah! What are those huh? Are you planning to kill yourself?" I asked and removed my shoes and get a pair of his slippers. It's way too big. I removed my jacket and put it in a couch.

"You shouldn't be drinking Kayden-ah, I mean you can drink but not this much!" I exclaimed and rolled my eyes.

"Is that all?" he's still using that cold voice. "If that's all you have to say, you can leave now. Feel free to step out and close my door." He said.

"Aniyo, I'm not leaving. Who says I'm leaving? I'm cooking for you today, so all you have to do is to sit back in there and relax." I smiled and showed my smile. He rolled his eyes.

"And you can't roll your eyes on me. Ah ah!" I said and grabbed all the things I've bought and started cooking.

"Seriously Era, you can go now." He said.

"I said I'm not going. Why are you stubborn?"

"And why are you here?" he asked, leaning on the kitchen's door.

"I'm here to celebrate your birthday with you, now stop asking me things okay? You rest first, I'm going to wake you up later. Go!" I sajd and pushed him outside. I heard his room door closed and I went to continue cooking.

I smiled while cooking. It's been a while sincd the last time I cooked for Kayden. I hope he'll at least like this.

Time check, 7:30 pm. It's almost 8pm. I can't believe it. I put decorations on his living room and prepared the foods on the table.

It's 8pm now. I finished decorating already and I am now ready to wake him up. I smiled and looked at the decorations I just did. Ah Era-ssi. You're really good at this.

I knocked on his room but he won't answer. I open it instead and saw him sleeping. He's so handsome for goodness sake!

"Kayden ah? Kayden wake up come on." I whispered to him. He moaned and looked at me. He glared at closed his eyes again.

"10 minutes." he whispered. I rolled my eyes.

"Yah! Can you wake up already?" he immediately sat down and looked at me. I chuckled.

"Good, I'll gave you time to prepare Kayden ssi." I said and went out. I immediately got the cake and was in front of his door. I smiled. I also grab Cooper and held him in my other arm. The door knob open and saw Kayden looking at me shock.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Yeeey! Saeng-il chukha hamnida Kayden!" I exclaimed and smiled. He smiled and looked around. Cooper barked.

"Gomawo, you shouldn't have done this Era-ya." He whispered.

"Na. Come on blow the candle! My arms are tired already!" I joked around and he just laugh. Cooper was barking and barking and I smiled. "You want to blow the candle too huh? Don't worry, we'll buy you cake soon Cooper-ya. For now, let's eat!" I exclaimed and smile.

"Kayden! You sit here." I motioned him to sit. He sat down and I went to sit in front of him. I put down the cake and put Cooper on my lap.

"You cooked?" He asked. I nodded.

"Well, I never thought you'll cook." He said.

"Hand me your phone." I said. He looked at me, confused.

"Wae?" He gave it to me and was shock to see the wallpaper. It's me and Cooper. I looked at him and he just looked away.

"A-ah, c-can you ope-n it for me? I'm gonna take p-pictures of you." I said and gave him his phone and scratch the back of my head. Why am I his wallpaper? I closed my eyes and felt my heartbeat. It's so damn fast!

"Here." He said and gave me back his phone.

"Now, smile." I said and smiled. He smiled and I gave him Cooper. "Now hold him in your arms." I said. He did what I've told him and I took lots of pictures.

After the photoshoot, we eat silently. It was awkward.

"You know, you shouldn't have done this Era, I'm fine with my can beers." He said in lower voice.

"But I want to do this. What's wrong with that?" I said and smiled.

"Why?"

I look up to him confused.

"Why what?"

"Why are you doing this? Shouldn't you be with Keon now?" He said while eating.

"Ani. Keon wouldn't mind at all, he's understanding." I said and then smile. I heard him tsked.

"Yah, why are you so mean when it comes to Keon. Did he do something to you huh?" I asked him. He just smirked and rolled his eyes. I look at him unbelievably.

"I'm not being mean, I just can't understand why he date a pabo." He said.

"Wah? Wow. Kayden ah! You're really something huh? Of course we'll date because we l-love each other." I defended myself. Love? Era-ya pabo.

"Love my ass." He just said and shook his head. "So, why are you here? You keep on ignoring my question." He said as he put down his chopsticks.

"I... I just want to celebrate it with you Kayden-ah, let's talk later arrasseo? Let's enjoy the food first." I said and smiled.

After eating, Kayden went to his rooftop and I was alone in his kitchen to clean our mess. I sighed. It keeps on getting awkward and I am so shy right now. What would I say? I decided to go to him and bring a coffee. It's already 10 in the evening. I wonder what they are doing right now.

"Kayden-ssi, coffee?" I ask him. He nodded. I sat down beside him and I heard him sigh.

"Look at the stars. It's beautiful right?" I said. He just nodded.

"Yeah it is." He whispered. He sighed.

Moments of silence.

"I went here because of what I've heard from your members. I... I didn't kn-know your parents died. I'm sorry." My voice cracked. He looked at me.

"Na, gwaenchana. It's all in the past now." He said and looked away.

"It's not fine Kayden-ah. Why didn't you tell me about it?" I asked him. He smiled.

"How? There was no sign of you Era-ssi, you left your house and the school. So how I could tell you? You left me for Klaus right?" His eyes are teary.

"I told you, I transferred school because of people bullying me. You were the one who left." I said and stood up. "I tried searching for you but I was shock to see that you already became an idol."

"Klaus told me that you're together. I keep on sending you letters! I told him to give those to you!"

Letters?

"What letters? I never received any Kayden-ah. And how many times do I have to tell you that we are not together! I keep on denying that in front of everybody but they won't listen! He even attempted to kiss me! I slapped him so hard but nobody believes in me!" I said while sobbing.

"He said he'll give that to you. That jerk didn't fulfill his promise." He said and looked away.

"What promise?"

"He'll have you, in exchange, I'll go away from you. But I give him the letters. I told him to give that to you, but based on what you said, he didn't." He sniffed and stood up.

"Do you want to know everything?" He asked. I nodded and smiled. He motioned me to sit down and he sat beside me.

"It was my graduation, and at the same time my birthday. I was away with them because of trainings. But my members were there during that special day. I keep on calling mom but she said they're on their way. She told me that she's proud of me and they love me." He said as he cry.

"She once asked me, where's Era? Is she fine? Why isn't she visiting you anymore? I told her that you're already happy without me. But she didn't believe. She told me once I become an idol, I'm going to find you. But I didn't, I want to forget you Era-ssi." he whispered.

"I already recieve my diploma but they haven't arrived yet. That makes me nervous. Someone called me and said that they got into an accident. I didn't believe first, but all I can hear on the background was shouting and crying." He's now crying so hard. I held his hands and caress it. "My members were the one who gave me my award. Not my parents, but them. I was crying so hard as I recieve my award, people were starting to get confused. I have to leave early and told the teacher about it... but the moment I went to the hospital, they told me that they're gone. They're gone era-ssi..." I hugged him tightly.

"Aside from my hyungs, I needed someone. I needed you, but you weren't there for me. The members didn't know about your existence. Keon knows everything. Up until now, I'm still hurt. It's my fault. I shouldn't have tell them to go there faster."

I cried. I never know that he's been feeling this. I see him on interviews and such, he's happy. But I guess he's just faking it. He may be happy outside, but he's hurt deep inside. The wound is still there. He's still hurting.

"I'm sorry Kayden-ah. I was not there. Mi-mianheyo." I brokedown. He faced me and wiped my tears.

"Gwaenchana Era-ssi. Don't cry arrasseo? It's all in the past now." He said and whispered.

"But you're still hurt. It's still there, I can't forgive myself, if only I knew...if only..." he hugged me so tight as he keeps on kissing ny hair.

"It's okay now. I just can't help but to reminisce all of it, especially you're here with me. It's okay, stop crying okay?" He said and faced me. I nodded and wiped my tears.

"Sorry." I whispered.

"I said stop saying sorry. It's not your fault okay?" He said and smiled.

Moments of silence. And then he sighed.

"You should go home now Era-ssi, Keon must be worried about you." He said and pull me to stand. I shook my head.

"I'm not going home, I'm staying with you tonight." I said in a low voice. He looked at me confused.

"Era-ssi, yes I know you're my bestfriend but Keon might get angry. He's your boyfriend." He said and looked away.

"Ah, about that. Hehehe." I scratch the back of my head. "We're just pretending." I whispered.

"What? I can't hear you." He said and looked at me seriously.

"We're just pretending Kayden-ah. There's nothing going on between us." I said and looked away.

"Mwo?" He said. I looked at him and smiled.

"Mianheyo, we did that because Keon told me to make y-you f-feel jealous." I said and looked down. I'm so nervous!

"So, there's nothing going on between the two of you?" I nodded and laughed a bit.

"Okay, that's good! Let's go, let's get some sleep." He said while smiling so big. I looked at him confused again.

"You're not angry?" I asked.

"Ani. I'm happy, ah! Life's so good." He said while smiling. I chuckled.

"You're happy because Keon and I are not a thing?" I asked. He put his right arm on my shoulder and nodded. I smiled.

"Keon likes Zia," he said. My eyes widened.

"Jinjjaro?! He told me he's not into Zia, but don't tell this to him arrasseo? Zia likes him too!" I exclaimed.

"Wow. Really? That's good. I thought I have a rival with you." he said.

"But he's the most sexiest man." I said. He glared at me.

"Tss. Are you sure you don't like Keon?! Why do you keep on defending him huh?" he said and glared at me. I laughed.

"I'm just teasing you Kayden-ah. Why are you angry?" I told him and I went to him and hugged him.

"And now you're suddenly hugging me?"

"Happy birthday Kayn ah." I whispered on his ears. I felt him hugging me back.

"Gomawo rari. Thank you so much." He replied and hugged me tightly.
