first of all.
use a clear , high quality image.
please.
i beg you.

i see people using blurry af
images like this on their covers.

pls he's such a fine man ,
he makes the quality of
this picture 10000000000 p.
(yes that's not a thing ik)

but , apart from that , this
picture is blurry ok.
and it'll ruin your cover.
no matter how cool your
template or coloring or
font or whatever is ,
your. picture. needs.
to. be. high. quality.
periodt.

i usually prefer to use
photoshoots bc their
quality is amazing but
sometimes fancams also
have a sexc picture quality.

random but i think about
this hoseok everyday.

there is actually an app to
sharpen your pictures.

it sometimes does a pretty
good job of enhancing
photos but honestly why
go through all this work.

plus the app is kinda slow.

i feel like picking an image
can be kinda difficult at times
bc i find this picture which rlly
rlly rlly fits the vibe of the
cover requested by the client
but it's quality is crappy asf and
idk man that triggers me.

ok so.

next step is filtering
your image.

now this is my opinion
but i feel like slapping
a filter onto your image
makes it looks aesthetic and
well , ... professional.

for eg.

the cover on the left looks so
much more better than
the one on the right.

i feel like it creates a
good contrast with the font and
seems like you actually put effort into it.

filters also help when
you're making cover sets ,
and make all your images
have the same vibe or
color scheme.

tbh , i can't breathe if i don't
slap atleast one filter onto my
cover. i sometimes use effects too
and that just increases the overall
quality of the cover.

if you want a subtle
filter , ie more natural
looking , you can use
lightroom presets.

if you want a strong
filter , with unnatural
colors , you can use
polar presets.

line camera and
prequel / indie
are great for effects
like light leaks , dust etc.
