how to : pick a font
hi uwu !
anyways um this is also
a very basic 'tutorial'
ok so. the next main
thing is picking the perfect
font for your cover.
firstly , don't use a lot
of fonts on your cover.
it makes it look too extra ,
unprofessional and over -
whelming. ive seen ppl
use a different font for the
title , subtitle , author name
etc etc and the cover looks
like a mess. sometimes , you
can pull it off , but not usually.
i've used three different fonts
on this cover and tbh it looks
like a disaster.
this cover , however looks way
better bc even though ive used two
different fonts , they compliment
one another.
try not to use very similar
fonts i.e if you're using
san script fonts , try using
one font in normal and the
other in italic or bold , like
ive done. ( taehyung is so
attractive omg - in normal
font and pls i love kth so much
- in italics )
using both italic , both bold
or both normal may make it
look too simple and dull.
furthermore , try to align
everything written on the
cover like this :
aligning all your fonts
makes it look uniform
and professional.
furthermore , try not to
use cursive fonts a lot.
i usually prefer to use
minimalist cursive fonts
like this one bc it looks aesthetic :
always pair a cursive font
with a sans script font , bc
pairing two cursive fonts
together makes it look tacky.
you're making a book cover ,
not a wedding card.
and i beg you pls don't
use those fancy valentine
day cards cursive fonts on
your covers. pls those fonts
should be BURNT bc they ruin
the whole cover ohmy -
anyways that's it for today ?
keep in mind that this is my
opinion and everyone has
their own graphic style , &
may have their own version
of aesthetics.
uh , bye i guess uwu :)
- love , siah.
