[1] meeting the band
molly grace, she had the looks of a soft innocent teen but acted with the heart of stone. she didnt have the greatest childhood, blaming all of her problems on her parents death.
in reality, she just wanted to know what love felt like. she wanted to feel the care of another human, her older brother, conner, not being enough. she wanted a restart, a fresh new life, but the closest she got to that was moving to vancouver.
conner had gotten a job opportunity, to manage some young alternative band. molly being forced along with him.
so there she was, standing in her empty room in the snowy city of vancouver. she rubbed her tired eyes, she was stuck in a car for hours and to say she was tired was an understatement. conner had blasted music the whole car ride, not allowing her to sleep.
it now being 2:47 am, she wanted nothing more than to sleep. she looked at her bed that was already set up when they arrived.
"hey molls?" conner knocked on the door frame, molly turning around to look at him.
"yeah?" she questioned, sitting down on her bed.
"i really do hope you enjoy it here." his voice was soft as he spoke to the younger grace sibling.
"yeah, me too." molly mumbled, leaning back on her bed and he left the room.
molly laid on her bed, wrapped in her blankets and watching a few youtube videos to fall asleep. she couldn't manage to get herself to relax long enough to sleep. she got up and closed her bedroom door and opened up the small window next to her bed.
she had developed a nicotine addiction when she started to hang around the wrong kids her freshman year. so she always had a pack of cigarettes by her side, she knew it was a bad habit but couldn't seem to break it.
with the cancer stick now stuck between her lips and her light blue lighter in her hands, she fed her addiction. the brunette pushed her knees to her chest as she relaxed.
after smoking, she was able to relax a bit, falling to sleep with ease.

molly woke up around 11 am, smelling the weed her brother was smoking in the next room. she got up and walked into conners room, giving him a smile.
"what do you want?" he asked, knowing she wanted something from him. in his hands he held a half smoked blunt, she reached her hand out for it. "i'll let you, if, you come with me to meet the band today." conner smirked, watching as his sister rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"whatever, give it to me." she muttered and he handed over the blunt.
she took several long drags off of it, letting smoke enter her lungs before exhaling.
"thanks bro." she said, exiting the room.
"be ready by 3!" conner yelled, causing molly to groan and give him a small thumbs up. she walked back to her room and started to unpack, finding an outfit for later as she did so.
she found her speaker and connected it to her phone, blasting all time lows older albums. as the high hit her she found herself dancing along to the music.
if there was something that she really enjoyed it was music, she always felt some sort of escape with it. whether it was singing, writing or playing guitar. she was honestly not that mad that conner wanted her to meet the band.
although she knew nothing about them, she thought maybe she could make friends with them through music. she knew thats why conner wanted her to come as well.
once the clock hit 1:30 she decided to take a quick shower before getting ready.
after her shower she put on a pair of old mom jeans and an oversized sweatshirt she stole from conner. she put on her docs, and a black coat since it was cold out.
"conner, im ready." molly said, walking out of her room.
"okay, one sec." conner responded from his room. a few minutes later he walked out and smiled at his sister who just walked out the door.
the car ride was silent, besides the faint sound of harry styles playing from the radio. they arrived at the house conner said they were meeting them at.
"im excited, theyre great kids. you'll love them." conner told molly, putting his arm around her shoulder.
he pressed the doorbell and seconds later there was four teens practically piled on each other behind the door. molly locked eyes with the tallest boy, his curly, red tinted hair sticking in different directions.
she then noticed the girl, her long blonde hair and how gorgeous she was.
"conner! my man! so great to see you!" the red head exclaimed, molly biting the inside of her cheek as she watched her brother hug them all.
"and this is?" the blonde boy asked, looking to molly.
"oh, guys, this is my little sister molly. i thought since she doesn't have any friends her i would bring her to meet you all." conner said, in his excited voice.
"hey, im ayla." the girl smiled, holding out her hand.
"hi." molly put on a small smile, not wanting them to hate her off the bat.
"im malcolm!" his hair was curlier than the red heads.
"well hello malcolm." molly smiled at the boy.
"jack." the blonde boy said, she just nodded with a smile, looking back to the red headed boy.
"i, uh, im finn." the lanky boy stammered, molly looked at him questionably.
"come inside! its freezing out." ayla said, and everyone followed her into the house.
"you can hang your coat up over there." jack pointed to the coat rack and molly nodded, putting it up.
they all sat on the couch and the only place left for molly was next to finn. he seemed nervous, his leg bouncing rapidly as she sat next to him.
ayla leaned towards the other girl, getting close to her ear, "he gets nervous around pretty girls." she whispered, molly smiled to herself thinking she could probably hook up with him.
molly zoned out as they all talked with conner, not really interested in their talk.
"molly likes to sing, she can also play guitar pretty well." molly turned her head at the mention of her name, looking at conner.
"oh really? what do you like?" ayla asked the other female, molly was caught off guard.
"um, i listen to a lot of all time low, harry styles, uh, i don't really know without sounding lame." molly chuckled nervously, wishing conner didnt bring her into the conversation.
"no, i love harry!" finn exclaimed, smiling at molly who smiled back.
"really? it doesn't seem like, i mean, yeah i should assume shit nevermind." molly didn't really know how to talk to any of them yet, scared she'd offend them.
"molly, do you watch netflix?" jack asked, molly rose a brow at him.
"of course, why?" she questioned.
"have you watched stran-" finn was quick to cover his mouth and molly laughed.
"stranger things." malcolm finished for jack and finn groaned at the two, conner and ayla laughing.
"i watched the first episode and it was stupid." molly answered honestly, finn slightly frowned. "oh, is that your favorite show? im sorry, its just hard for me to get into a show like that." molly told him and finn looked back to jack, sending him a glare.
"its not his favorite show, hes in the show." conner said to his sister who then took a good look at finn.
"really? you dont look familiar, honestly you look kinda like the annoying kid in the new it movie." molly said, furrowing her brows together.
"thats him also." ayla said, finn looked like he wanted to die then and there.
"he was funny too, just annoying as shit." molly tried to make him feel better but wasn't doing good at it.
"no, its okay, just annoyed that they had to say that." finn mumbled, she shrugged not really caring that he was in some show.
"its good, im not gonna fan girl or use you for clout or whatever." molly said, his frown turning into more of a smile.
after the talk about finns famous roles, they all got to know each other more. they talked with conner about his managing position as molly played on her phone.
"are you thirsty?" finn asked the brunette girl, she nodded and he got up, signaling for her to follow him.
they walked into the kitchen and he pulled down two glasses.
"what would you like? i have apple juice, water, grape juice, and soda." he suggested, molly pulled the apple juice out and he smiled. "good choice." he said, pouring them both a cup.
"so your hairs dyed red?" she asked him, he nodded as he handed her, her glass.
"yeah, i thought it would look cool, i don't really know though." he answered.
"i think its pretty hot." she told him, his cheeks instantly turned red at the girl's boldness.
"th-thanks." finn stuttered, not knowing how to take compliments from girls who weren't actually his fans.
"of course." molly smiled, sipping on her apple juice.
"whats your instagram? so we can yknow, keep in touch." he didnt know how to ask for her socials without coming off too strongly.
"oh, here." she pulled out her phone and had him type in his instagram. "dang you really are famous." molly joked as she saw the millions of followers he had.
finn rolled his eyes with a small smile and followed her back.
"hey! what are you guys doing in there?" the pair turned to the voice of jack.
"i guess we should go back and talk with them."
