𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳

Unfortunately Jaemins day didn't start off so well, first he was late again and entered the studio only to find out practice was canceled because Jisung's Guitar was malfunctioning. Jaemin decided to have a free day off and roam and around the city area. He found himself in the library on his phone texting Chenle about what happened a few days ago. Chenle didn't respond right away so jaemin just kept entertaining himself with random books he found on a nearby shelf. After an hour Chenle replied with 3 words. "You replaced them" Jaemin obviously was very confused and sent a text back. "what? who's them?". It was quite clear Chenle was struggling to say something as the chat bubble would appear then disappear.

Jaemin grabbed himself a coffee before heading back to the train station. As he patiently waited for his train to arrive he got a text message from chenle, honestly Jaemin was hoping for a short explanation.. The text read;

"Mark and Haechan, two ex-members of our group. They departed from us with any formal reason or explanation. The agency brought you in, in hopes that fans would forget about them and focus on you and make the group members forget as well. though there isn't a day I don't think about them. I was talking to Renjun about the bands attending for the concert after practice and he mentioned a group name in which Haechan did join. I didn't know how I or you or even the rest of the group members would react to seeing him again. That's why I was crying, I was just really stressed."

"Oh and btw please do not share this text with any of the group members, just for my sake please"

Jaemin was astonished, he was just a replacement. Is that what the agency saw him as? I that what the fans saw him as? Jaemin had so many questions going through his head. Like what group Haechan was in, why did he depart? where is even is mark?

Jaemin of course didn't like the idea of being a replacement. It didn't fit right with him and plus chenle was hurting but does that mean the others are as well? Jaemin didn't want to continue with this anymore. He decided the concert is not his top priority anymore. Instead Bringing back Mark and Haechan back was.

Next day Jaemin showed up to practice on time for once as he took the earlier train. Though they didn't start practice yet becuase 1, Jisung still didn't have his guitar and 2, Jeno and Chenle were not here yet. A good 26 minutes later Jeno and Chenle showed up with their instruments.

"Hey jeno does your brother have my guitar?" Jisung asked

"Yep he should be here with it shortly" Jeno said

"I don't understand, you've couldve bought a new guitar and we could've practiced yesterday" Chenle complained

"Okay first not everyone has money like you to go buy a brand new guitar and second my guitar is very precious to me"

"Your only saying the second one because jeno bought you that guitar and you don't wanna hurt his feelings. Its okay to admit you don't like it" Chenle teased jisung.

While the dreamies were chatting a man walked in, he had black hair with one side of bangs swopped to side. Wearing a white shirt with a denim jacket on top and black sweatpants with thick clear glasses. He knocked the door "Hey, nono bought you the guitar!" the man said.

"please.. don't call me nono here" Jeno whispered.

"you must be Jenos brother? we've heard a lot about you but we've never seen you in person heck jeno hasn't even told us your name" renjun said

"well.. you know kids these days want to be rebellious and get embarrassed with siblings and all that nonsense, oh yeah here jisung test out the guitar"

Jisung tested the guitar and it was better than ever. "Wow thanks for fixing it, how much do I owe you?" Jisung asked.

"oh no, you're all Jenos friends you don't need to pay anything, you already make him so happy" Jeno groaned in embarrassment. "well since he hasn't introduced me to you guys yet, I am his elder brother Kim Doyoung, like jeno I also preform in a band. I don't get to see jeno very often since I do live in my own apartment and I miss him lot"

"wow nono, why did you hide doyoung from us" Jaemin teased.

"I just don't like talking about him that much.. its ugh, oh yeah don't you also have to get to practice hyung?"

"oh shoot yes!"

Doyoung bid his farewell and the band began their practice.

Mars was out on a girls night today so Jaemin had the house to himself. He was scrolling through instagram when he found a post about the concert and the other attendees. One face really did look familiar to him. The more closer he looked to more he began to recognize. It was Jenos brother Doyoung. He was in a band called "NCT 127". Jaemin decided to do some diving through their insta posts to see doyoungs photos, he even went on twitter. He was going through news sources and articles about the group when he came across a peculiar article. It was posted 20 minutes ago but it has gotten 30.8k likes.

Fate had to be on Jaemins side today, He ran to his phone and called jeno.

"Jaemin?"

"hi jeno, um can I have your brothers number?"

"omg- no there's already sm people asking for his number and I doubt there's a chance you can get with him"

"WHAT NO? NOT LIKE THAT, I just wanted to ask him a question please"

"alright fine ill give it to you"

low and behold Jaemin got a hold of Doyoungs number. The problem was though.. what was he going to say? he can't just say "hey I need to speak to haechan please" or "give me Haechans number because I need to reconnect him with the group" heck does Doyoung know about Haechan leaving the group? nevertheless Jaemin dialled the number.
