THE REST OF MY MORNING was about as chaotic as I thought it would be. Once Eli was fed and I was dressed, we made our way into the living room and watched as Carlisle began to ask Eli a few simple questions. Seeing as Eli was new at speaking, his answers were only yes or no. It made my heart melt every time he looked at me before answering and I wanted nothing more than to hold onto him and never let go. Our world was too crazy for such an innocent soul and he needed to be protected from it.

"I think that's good Carlisle." I could feel Emmett's body tense up beside me. I turned to face him but he was focused on Alice, who was whispering to Edward about something. Eli instinctually ran to me, my body jerking in surprise as his weight settled.

"What's going on?" Everyone was focused on the two siblings as they argued in a hushed tone in the kitchen. "Em?"

"Alice had a vision and she doesn't want Edward saying what it is." The arm that was resting on the sofa behind me, wrapped around my shoulders. "There was one about Jasper too."

"Is it bad?" He nodded and I felt Eli squirm in my arms. "I'm going to take Eli outside for a little bit. Let Jake see the new him." I left his side without another word. I was trying to avoid getting involved with another Cullen family fight. My day was weird as it is, I didn't want to add anything to it.

Walking outside was refreshing. The mood inside the house was intense and not even Jasper could help alleviate it. Alice's vision seemed to cause a divide in the house and I was grateful to leave that situation before it escalated. I carried Eli on my hip as I looked around the yard, trying to spot Jacob or Seth. I was about to head back inside when I noticed Leah sitting on a leftover log from Bella's wedding.

Her head turned as she heard my footsteps and her eyes widened as she glanced at the boy on my hip. "Jacob's patrolling with Seth."

"Maybe I was looking for you." I joked, she smirked and gave me a shrug in response.

"Who's the kid?" Eli nuzzled his head into my neck as he shied away from her. I sat beside her and his little legs wrapped around me as much as they could, his little fist clutching my shirt.

"Eli." Her eyes widened again and I answered her question before she could even ask it. "He woke up like this, this morning. He's growing at the same rate as Nesmee." She nodded and seemed to accept my answer but it make it any less weird. Even I knew how strange it was. "Now my newborn is a toddler who walks and talks. Oh, and he can run fast."

"Your life is anything but normal." She commented and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Yeah, I know." I smiled. "I wouldn't change it though. Maybe alter some stuff that's happened but I'm happy keeping this little guy how he is." I rested my chin on Eli's head and my heart melted as I felt his little sigh against my neck.

"You were meant to be a Mom," Leah observed. "I don't know how to explain it but you just have that mom vibe, the energy. Kinda like my Mom."

"I get it. I was thinking the same thing earlier." We sat in silence for a few minutes before she turned around and grimaced, her nose scrunching up.

"I'm out." She left my side and disappeared into the trees before I could even turn around and see who had come outside. I didn't have to wait long as I felt them sit beside me.

"It was getting too intense in there. Even for me." Jasper chuckled. "How's he doing?"

"He's good. He fell asleep." I took a mental note to ask Carlisle about that. Eli had been falling asleep any chance he could and I knew it was normal for newborns but I wasn't sure if it was normal for newborn/toddler vampire babies. "So what's going on inside?"

"Alice had another vision and it's not the best news." His answer was vague and I had a feeling I wasn't allowed to know what it was about.

"Guess I'll find out eventually." I wasn't about to pry. I wanted to, but I knew better than to do that with Jasper. He was tight-lipped. Dominic was my go-to guy, he'd blab everything. "What about the one with you? Is that one bad too?"

"No, that one's okay. Edward wants to be the one to tell you though." He gave her a small smirk as she pouted. "So how're you adjusting to everything?"

"It's a little weird if I'm being honest. But if I keep getting cuddles like these," I tightened my hold on Eli a smiled. "Then I'm good."

"He's latched onto you." He grinned. "It's kind of adorable."

"Well he is half me and I'm super cute." I teased. He chuckled and turned to look at something behind him.

"How dare you two escape and not drag me with you? Do you know how much glaring and brooding is happening inside right now?" Dominic grumbled as he sat beside me, taking up the rest of the broken log. "It's way too intense in there."

"Well, it's peaceful out here. Don't ruin it." Jasper smirked at him.

"Hilarious." Dom glared at him before looking at me. "You good?"

"I'm okay." I smiled appreciatively and he nodded. "So what's happening inside?" Jasper poked my arm as I asked, knowing the blabber mouth beside was about to spill everything he knew.

"So Alice had some vision about your future and she wanted to tell everyone but Edward jumped in and he said no which led to that argument. She was trying to say you needed to know so you could be ready and his broody self said you didn't need that stress right now and she tried to argue that it was your decision and he tried to argue that it was irrelevant at the moment and I kind of disagreed because if I were you, I'd want to know if someone wanted me dead but that's just me. And then she had another vision about Jasper and that one involved you too which made Emmett mad because he thinks you shouldn't be involved in any of their business which is kind of ironic considering he knocked you up and everything." My mind was racing as he revealed everything. So many thoughts and questions arose as he kept going on.

"Anyways so the one with Jasper wasn't bad but she made it seem like it was. So broody Edward told everyone what it was and she looked disappointed which I thought was weird because I didn't take it as bad news."

"What was it?" I managed to interrupt.

"So like blood singers, vampires can sometimes find a person who draws out their protective instincts and Edward explained that as basically he's your fairy godmother. So basically some vampires are guardians and Jasper is yours. I asked him how he knew about it since only Carlisle has ever really mentioned but because none of us were guardians we didn't pay attention. So anyway, he said there's a book that Carlisle has that explains it and then he said some other stuff but I stopped paying attention after that."

"Intense," I replied softly.

"Right! Now you know why I wanted to escape out here so quickly. There was so much negativity in that house, it was overwhelming. I couldn't breathe." Dom exaggerated.

"You don't breathe," Jasper informed him.

"Yeah well if I could, I wouldn't have been able to in there!" Dom pointed to the house for dramatic effect. "Oh, and you're not supposed to know yet but I'm pretty sure they heard me tell you everything so no use in hiding it. Especially since you can't from Edward and his broodiness."

"I am not broody." I felt a gust of wind hit me as Edward towered over the three of us.

"Oh, you're for sure broody." I grinned. He rolled his eyes and moved to sit next to Jasper. "So you're hiding from them too?"

"Yes." He didn't say anything else. I shared a look with Jasper and silently we agreed to discuss everything later.

"It's nice out here today," I commented after a minute.

"You're seriously talking about the weather?" Edward deadpanned.

"Well nobody else was offering up anything." I sighed. "Is it lunchtime yet? I'm starving."

"There's a deer about twenty feet away," Edward smirked.

"Hilarious." I glared at him. "Shouldn't you be inside brooding over Bella?"

"I don't brood."

"You brood," Jasper responded. He shrugged at the glare Edward sent his way, not phased by it.

"I hate all of you."

"There you go brooding again." Dom chuckled.

"I don't brood!"
