The three musketeers sat in silence, waiting for their guest of honor to wake up. Damon was twisting a poker in his hand while he occasionally popped a pork rind into his mouth. Bonnie just stared at the ground, zoning off into her own little world. They both were so concerned about the newcomer and if he posed as a threat.

Abigail, on the other hand, was fascinated by him. She was stealing quick glances at Kai who was currently tied up to a chair unconscious. She thought he was cute and wanted to stare, but if Bonnie or Damon caught her she'll probably be in trouble. Damon acting like her dad was funny at times, but it can get annoying real quick. She was a grown up who can take care of herself, but in his eyes she was nothing more than a toddler who needed to be taken care of.

It was actually quite frustrating.

Kai started to wake himself up, though, so she had to stop with the staring. His eyes wondered around before landing on hers. They were angelic and welcoming, posing no threat. He wouldn't want to admit it, but he liked staring into those brown orbs of hers. But, she couldn't look weak or show that she was easily manipulated, in case Kai actually was a threat.

. To show that she would not be intimidated, she looked back with a cold and icy stare.

He was the first one to break the stare as he noticed that he was tied to the chair. Damon turned to him from his stance by the fireplace, "You're awake, good. Now for the q&a portion of the evening."

"Let me guess," Kai started nonchalantly, "I guess it right, I get a pork rind. Wrong, I get the poker."

"Awe, he thought this was going to benefit him," Abigail said like she was talking to a baby, pouting her lip like a baby.

Kai didn't want to give her the satisfaction of him being annoyed so he kept his eyes on Damon. Though, he did express a small, faint smile in amusement towards her sudden hostility. It was obvious she was just putting up a front, and he found it very amusing.

"The pork rinds are for me," Damon said matter-of-factly before bringing up his devilish smile, "You just get the poker."

"You don't have to do that, we're on the same team," Kai tried to convince Damon before Bonnie stepped into the picture, clearly a but amused in Kai's sudden surrender tone.

"Do you always try to kill your teammates?" She asked with her arms crossed, shooting him glares from the inches she was away from him.

"The important thing is that you guys got your magic back," He said with a small smile, making Abigail raise an eyebrow in confusion, "It worked."

They all shared looks, not knowing where this was going. For Bonnie, she could see why Damon would be the reason she would finally get her powers back. It was the push that she needed, like when they first came to town. He was important to her and him near death must've been some good inspiration.

But Abigail was confused on how this involved her. She got her magic back before Bonnie by just being mad, but she does suppose that Damon had some part of it. After all, he was the reason why she was mad in the first place. He wasn't necessarily close to Abigail like he was Bonnie, but what's done is done.

"You seriously didn't think that i'd kill Damon, right?" He began to chuckle, giving them all dumbfounded looks, "In what universe does that make sense? I wouldn't kill 1/4 of our population, I'm not a monster."

This apparently didn't make sense to them either, but Abigail found the last part a bit funny if she was being honest. She stifled a laugh which caused Damon to give the girl a glare, making her stop immediately. Kai was pleased to know that at least one of them ha a sense of humor.

"Look, I knew Bonnie would show up. She always comes back, all thirteen times. And I knew with the right motivation she'd be able to access her magic, although I did get a little worried with all your bickering that Damon's life wouldn't be enough motivation," Kai explained before looking over at Abigail, "If not, I was just going to try and kill you. No offense. But, I guess that's just how they show their love. I had the same love-hate relationship type thing with my family, I get it."

"Wait, so you did all that just so I can get my magic back?" Bonnie asked as she was a little skeptical, not really wanting to believe him. It all seemed a little too on the nose.

"Of course I did, because your magic is the key to getting the hell out of here."

Damon and Abigail shared a look before looking back at Kai. What did he mean? The girl knew that Bennett witches were some of the most powerful witches, so did that have a play in it? God, did she hope it was.

"That would make a lot of sense," She muttered before laying back, slouching where she was sitting.

"Don't take it personal, Abby. You're just not exactly the right material to do the spell," She heard him say directly to her as she noticed that both Damon and Bonnie disappeared. Probably to talk about what just happened and what they should do with him.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She asked him calmly, trying not to show that she was currently questioning herself if they would get mad at her if she broke both his legs.

Her temper usually wasn't this bad, but she exactly wasn't complaining either. She might've been the same girl who believe the good in everything and cared for people too much, but she needed a backbone if they were going to get into the real-world. People would tear her into shreds.

Kai shrugged in his seat before licking his lower lip, "You're not strong enough, Abby."

Abigail cringed at the nickname coning from his mouth and furrowed her eyebrows at him. Not strong enough? Sorry, but he clearly doesn't know a thing about her. If he's been watching them for months now, he should at least know who he's dealing with.

"Say that again, pretty boy," She warned him with a false smile, crossing her legs where she sat whilst sitting up.

She hated when people underestimated her abilities. A person did that once and she proved them wrong with just a snap of her fingers. Abigail was glad enough to do the same to Kai.

He smiled at her before tilting his head down a bit, not taking his eyes off her. "You think i'm pretty? Call me flattered, really."

Abigail narrowed her eyes at him and thought of him with a broken hand. She wanted him to feel pain anywhere, really, but this was probably the safer option so her vampire friend didn't get mad with her. In fact, Damon probably would've wanted to watch her hurt him.

Next thing Kai knew, he was wincing and clenching his jaw in pain. He looked down at his hand to see that it was slightly bent in the wrong position and looked back at her, "Into the whole kinky-torture thing too, huh? Never thought someone of your morals loved to get her rocks off to pain."

"What can I say?" Abigail shrugged before bringing her lips into a smirk, "I love asserting my dominance, darling. And for the rocks part, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, but I assume it's a compliment."

Kai only chuckled and shook his head as Damon walked back into the room. He dropped the poker by the fireplace and sat down by Abigail while Bonnie was already heading upstairs to her room. She was calling it a night and so was Damon.

"Keep an eye on him for tonight, alright?" Damon whispered in Abigails ear, kind of startling the girl as she was taken by surprise.

"Why me? He's already being a pain in the ass and it hasn't even been an hour since he's been awake yet," She asked under a mumble as she knew he could hear her even she mouthed the words.

"Because I know that you'll be able to stop him if he tries to do anything," Damon answered back and Abigail smiled. That was basically a compliment and she just loved getting those.

Damon got up and left the two alone, for now. It was already very late and she could tell they were both tired; they do always wake up at, like, 6 a.m.

She picked up a book nearby and flipped to the first page. Abigail was not about to have a conversation with someone she didn't know and who could possibly be a traitor. She had a thing for those and it wasn't good.

"Oh, by all means, I'll just sit here with my broken hand. No problem," She heard Kai say with a teasing tone. She looked up at him before looking back down, bringing up her hand and flicking it to the right. His hand went back to normal.

He moaned a bit from the relief of getting his hand fixed before twisting it around, getting used to the feeling again. "Thank you, Abigail. I look forward to this again someday."

"Don't ever call me weak again, understand?" She asked him with a blank face to show that she wasn't interested in talking to him, flipping to the next page of the book.

"Is it too late to say that I find this incredibly hot? Because I do, trust me."
