Momo crossed her arms as she waited. She glanced over at the clock. 11:46 pm. She crossed both her legs on the couch and bit her lip.

It wasn't unusual that Jackson was coming home at this time of the day; in fact, this would earlier than his usual time, which was always around one or two in the morning. Practice always streaks on for longer than they would expect, and it would be as tiring as you can imagine.

But what Momo didn't expect was the waiting would be more difficult than the actual practice.

She picked up her phone and glanced at the screen. He said he would call, she thought. He would try to get out earlier, and call when practice was over. She was getting more and more antsy as time went by.

She was getting more and more frustrated by every minute that passed by.

She just wanted Jackson to be home. She wanted him close to her, resting, so she could relieve herself of the anxiety that he was burning himself out by practicing mkre than he could do good for.

Momo couldn't stand him being hurt.

Her head turned to the door as she heard a vehicle being pulled up by the driveway, and a van's door sliding open, then closing, before it slowly drives away.

He was home.

The door creaked open slowly, and Jackson entered, still in a sleeveless tank and sweats, a black duffel bag slung on his shoulder. His shoulders sunk down, and he sighed deeply as he removed his cap and placed it on the rack by the door.

His eyes turned to the living room, and made their way to Momo's who was staring at him in hurt.

Jackson turned away before she could see how the exhaustion in his eyes turn into frustration.

"Jackson," Momo called as he made his way into the kitchen. He continued walking. "Oppa!"

Jackson stopped his tracks by the dining table, his back still turned. "What is it about now, Momo?"

Momo stared at him. Jackson rarely called her by her real name; it was always 'baby' or 'jagi' or 'Momo-ring', but never just 'Momo'.

"What is it about now? Oppa, you told me you would come home before dinner."

Jackson grimaced. "I know I did."

"Then where were you?" Momo said, grabbing his arm so he would turn around. She bit her lip. "What did I tell you about keeping promises you can't keep?"

He massaged the bridge of his nose. "Look, I'm sorry-"

"Sorry? Is that all it takes now? You tell me you'll be home before I eat, because you want to eat with me, and then you don't even tell me that you won't be able to make it home?"

Jackson clicked his tongue. "I didn't eat because I wanted to eat with you."

Momo's heart was pierced. "Then why didn't you come home?" She closed her eyes.

"Practice, Momo." He sat down. "You know it's never ending in a certain time. You're an idol, you of all people should know that."

"Then why didn't you quit with the practicing? Oppa, you've been practicing nonstop for a week?"

Jackson's expression changed. "Damn it, Momo, why are you acting like this is all my fault?"

"Because you don't know when to stop, that's why!"

"I can't be home when you want me to when I have career-important things to do with my time! Don't be selfish, god!"

Momo's eyes widened. "You think this is because I want you for myself?"

"Don't tell me it's not!" He slammed his hand on the table. "You always complain about how late I'm coming home, and how you never get to see me! You think this is only hard in you?"

"I didn't say that!"

"Hell yeah, you didn't, but you're certainly acting like it!"

Momo was silent for a while as Jackson paced around, fuming. "I don't want you home early because I want to keep you away from your dreams, oppa." She stepped towards him. "I just-I can't be well off with myself without knowing that you're well, without seeing you resting!"

"Well, I'm surprised you even care!"

Momo's heart shattered yet again. "I just want you to stop pushing yourself to your limits, Jackson! You're tired, you're weary from all of this, and if you just keep pushing yourself to do more you're just going to burn yourself out!"

Jackson closed his eyes. "I'll do what I have to do to improve, Momo."

"Well, then kill yourself? Is that what you want?" She shook her head. "Are you even listening to yourself right now? Do you even know what you're saying?"

"Well, you wouldn't know what I was saying because you never listen!"

Momo stared at him disbelief. "What?"

"You don't listen anymore, you just complain! You say things that would've been better off, you say this, you say that! That's all that comes out of your mouth!" He paused for a minute, and Momo could feel tears threatening to come out.

"When I get home, I don't hear anything than how you wish you could just be with me! Why I come home late, why my schedules are a mess? Momo, I want to spend time with you too, and I cherish every moment I have with you, even if it's just being with you! But you make it difficult for me to do anything great for the both of us because you always seem to be blaming me for things that aren't my fault!"

Momo felt the first tear fall down.

"Well, guess what? I don't want to hear any of your complaints! In fact, I don't want to hear you talk, ever!"

He inched closer to her, his eyes red with anger, and for a moment, Momo was scared of him. Jackson was the sweetest person in this planet, and he would almost always never shout at her.

And the fact that she was the one who brought him ovet the edge hurt more than the words he had just said.

Momo was bawling by the time he had finished. "So that's how it is," she said, crying and sniffling in between sentences.

Jackson's expression immediately changed as soon as he saw her cry. He felt a pang of guilt slap him in the face. "Jagi, I-"

"No, Jackson," Momo said, stepping away from him as soon as he started to come at her. "It's me, it's really me."

"I didn't mean any-"

"Look, if that's what you want, I'll give you what you want," she said, racing to the door, grabbing her keys and going straight for her car.

Jackson managed to hold on to her once, saying "Baby, I'm sorry," before she struggled free out of his embrace and drove away, leaving Jackson placing his hands on his waist, his red eyes now overflowing with tears of regret. He cried and sobbed.

He screwed up.

Momo knew who to go to during times like this: Sana and Jihyo.

They brought her in and sat her down as soon as they saw how hurt she was by the doorway, and let her calm down the first few minutes, crying in Jihyo's embrace and Sana stroking her hand gently.

Then, she explained.

Jihyo looked her straight in the eyes. "Momo, it's okay," she said comfortingly. "This is just a fight, it'll pass."

"He seemed serious," Momo sobbed. "Oh, otoke, Jihyo, I don't want to lose him."

"Don't be silly, you won't," reassured Sana. "Couples get into fights all the time, it's normal."

"It's proof that you're relationship is stronger than you think it is," Jihyo added.

"His words really hurt me. They were true, and they hurt. He seemed really pissed at me."

"Momo, you shouldn't think that way, you did nothing wrong."

"People say really crude things when they're mad," Sana said, holding on to her tightly.

"You were both tired and frustrated and just took it out on each other." Jihyo rubbed her arms. "It's alright."

Momo put her head up. Sana looked at her and gave her a small, reassuring smile, and she smiled back.

Count on TWICE to cheer you up during your heavy days.

It's been hours since she arrived at Sana and Jihyo's. Then, a small knock on the door was heard, which they both thought odd because there was a doorbell.

"Who could that be?" Sana said, standing up from her position on the floor to answer the door.

She opened it to find Jackson, his eyes red from crying, his hair a mess, holding a box of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers in his hands.

Sana's first reaction was to shout "Yah!" and come at him violently, to which Jackson averted. "What do you think you're doing here?"

Jihyo joined her and raised an eyebrow. "You got some nerve coming here right now," she said. "How'd you know she was here?"

"I didn't, I just figured she'd come here after what happened," he replied, his voice barely a whisper.

"What do you want?" Sana asked. "If I were you, I'd be leaving."

"I will leave," he said. "I just-I just wanted to ask a favor." They were both silent as hr handed them the gifts. "I bought these for Momo because I couldn't make it home in time." Sana took the bouquet and box. "I wanted to make her feel special, and I traded my dinner time looking for gifts."

Momo was in the living room, listening the whole time, and she was tearing up again.

"Can you just, please, give it to her? And tell her I'm sorry," he said, his voice cracking. "I know she doesn't want to talk to me right now, but it was my fault and I don't want her to blame herself."

He started to walk away, and Momo raced to the front door, pushing Sana and Jihyo behind her. "Oppa?"

Jackson turned around. They eyed each other for a while, both with tears threatening ti fall yet again, before running into each other and collapsing in each other's arms, crying like there's no tomorrow.

Jackson was sobbing heavily, yet he managed a few words. "I'm-I'm sorry, my Momo-ring," he said in between his sobs. "I didn't mean to hurt you, I was just so mad at myself."

"It's alright, Jackie, I know you didn't." Momo had calmed down and rubbed his back as he dug into her shoulders and cried.

"I don't want to hurt you ever again," he said, and Momo gave a small smile. She pulled away and drew her face near his, and kissed him, their faces both wet with tears.

"I'm sorry, too," she said. Jackson was still sobbing.

"Please come home," he mumbled, laying his forehead on hers. Momo smiled.

"I will," she replied. Jackson calmed down a little as the hug made it easier for her to rub his back. "Now, stop crying. You're tired, don't knock yourself out."

Then they just stood there, foreheads together, basking in each other's presence.

Sana and Jihyo, who were still by the doorway, just looked at them. "They really can't get enough of each other," Jihyo said

Sana nodded in approval. "So," she said, referring to the gifts in her hands, "do we get to keep these?"
