Jackson stared at the white clouds and that enveloped his sight, all floating in the blue sky. For a while, the sight was all he saw - at least, for the duration of the seven-hour flight he was in.
JB sat next to him on the plane, and was scanning a home and decor magazine that a flight attendant had brought for him to read. Why he was reading one, he had no idea, but it was better than doing nothing.
Jackson fumbled in his seat, biting his fingertips and clicking his tongue every once in a while. He shifted uncomfortably few times and sighed heavily. Jackson knew this was going to be such a long ride, and it killed him.
JB was getting bugged by Jackson's restlessness, but he couldn't blame him. He's been away from his girlfriend, Momo, for three months straight because of their Japan promotions. It was ironic, really, because Momo was Japanese, but JB knew that Jackson couldn't stand not even seeing Momo for even one day.
As Jackson fumbled again, he put a hand on his shoulder, causing him to look at the leader. "You okay, Jack?"
Jackson just slumped his head on the headrest of the chair and sighed. "I wish I was, hyung."
"Dont worry, the flight'll be over soon," he reassured him. "You'll see her again."
"I want to see her now, JB, it's literally killing me," Jackson replies, closing his eyes.
"Just wait it out, good things happen to those who wait." Then Jackson stayed silent, and JB was pretty sure he was asleep, or probably looking out the window again.
Meanwhile, Momo was happy that Sana agreed to accompany her to the airport, even though the latter said she was just in it for the food Momo had promised her. She was just as nervous as her boyfriend the whole cab drive there.
"I don't get why you're so nervous, Momo-ring," said Sana, who was holding her hand tightly. "It's not like you guys are going to break up or something." Momo glared at her. Why would you say something like that? She's nervous, for crying out loud, she's making things worse. "What? I'm just saying."
Momo looked out the window. She actually didn't know why she was nervous. Maybe it was her emotions just waiting to burst out.
"He'll be fine, trust me," reassured Sana as she paid the cab driver. "If anything, he'll be really happy to see you, too."
Momo looked up at the huge airport in awe. It wasn't that she had never been to airports before, she was just always like this in huge buildings. Sana took her hand and they walked themselves inside.
The arrival area was packed with people who were going to pick up their friends or loved ones up. They were all holding signs and placards with names on them. Something Momo forgot to prepare.
She looked around. Jackson had texted her the area where they would be arriving. She checked to see if they were in the right place. Looks like we are, she thought to herself. She took a seat on one of the waiting areas, and Sana followed her.
Now all she had to do was wait.
A few minutes in, Sana was getting bored. She started poking at her phone and talking to the strangers about weird things like why kimchi was red and how hanboks seemed to all have one size. Momo was finding this irritating, since she couldn't worry in peace, so she gave her money to buy herself a burger on one of the airport stalls.
Then a beep echoed across the hall. A woman's voice announces that a flight has arrived.
Jackson's flight.
She raced to the receiving area, and squeezed herself among the many people waiting, so she could get in front. A lot were complaining and groaning at her, but she didn't care. She needed to see him.
And then she waited.
Lots of people passed by: some meeting some, greeting and being greeted with hugs, and people reuniting after months. So many pass by, but Jackson wasn't one of them.
Then the people arriving started getting lesser in number, and lesser. Until what she thought was the last man and woman that were on the arrival area.
Momo's heart was broken. Where was Jackson? Where was her boyfriend? She waited for three whole months, ninety-one days before she could see him again. And he was nowhere to be found.
She trudged back to the waiting area, where Sana was finishing up her third burger. Her smile turned upside down as soon as she saw Momo. "What happened? Where is he?"
Momo just stared at her shoes. She felt so disappointed, like her life has been drained of happiness. She was really expecting him to arrive today, after staying away for so long. She was expecting to finally hold him, and be with him, and not care about anything else in the world.
Sana then nudged her. "Momo, look." She nodded towards the arrival section, and Momo followed her gaze.
There he was - Jackson. His blonde hair was messy in a beautiful way, and he was wearing the brown jacket Momo had gotten him for Christmas - the last holiday they spent together.
Then, she raced to him. Her tears were running down from her eyes to her chin.
Jackson was tearing up a bit as well. He ran to her, and dropped his bags everywhere.
They ran into each other. Momo wrapped her legs around his waist and hugged him tightly. Jackson lifted her up and nuzzled his face in her neck. Momo then got down and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, liked there was no tomorrow. Jackson didn't fight it - it had been too long.
After a few moments, Momo finally broke away from him. They continued to press their foreheads against each other, even after the kiss.
"I missed you so much, Jackson," Momo muttered, still taken aback and still sobbing.
"I missed you too, my Momo-ring," Jackson replied. Then, he asked her, "Why are you crying?"
"Y-You came late," said Momo. "I thought you we-weren't coming back."
Jackson hushed her. "I'm sorry. It's okay, I'm not leaving again. I'm here now, that's what matters." She hugged him and he hugged her back, and he let her cling to her and sob away.
"I love you so much, Momo, don't cry," he cooed, kissing the side of her head.
"I love you more, Jackson," Momo muttered in reply.
"I'm sorry for making you wait so long," he said, and it earned him Momo a small smile.
"I'm here now, I'm here for you."

BONUS:
Sana looked around, and people were staring at her friends. Not that she found it rude, it's just that she didn't want to be that friend who has to stop their moment.
But she had to.
She silently and awkwardly walked to Jackson and Momo, who were still basking in each other's presence.
"Um, hey," she says awkwardly, and both of them look at her. "I don't want to be that kind of friend, but people are staring, and I think they know I'm a third wheel."
Jackson ruffled her hair, and Momo manages a shaky laugh as they pulled apart from each other. They both helped Jackson pick his things up from the airport floor, and they were finally on their way home, Jackson and Momo's hands interlocked with each other.
