"Would that be all?" Chaeyoung asked the girl behind the counter at the clinic's reception center.

"Yes, Miss-" the girl took a small second to glance at her ID, "-Son, that would be all."

Chaeyoung gave her a small smile and the receptionist smiled back as she watched her organize her purse. She felt her glance behind her, and found another question being tossed at her. "So, how long have you two been together?"

Chaeyoung's face immediately propped up, as this girl was obviously talking about Bambam, who was sitting behind her. "Oh, almost a year now."

"He seems like an okay-looking guy," said the nosy girl. "Isn't he?"

Chaeyoung glanced back at her boyfriend, who was sitting down with his eyes closed, muttering a string of incoherent words. He looked like he was drunk, and the shirt he was wearing - a beach shirt with pineapples on it - didn't help at all.

She chuckled at how he looked. "Bambam's a really nice guy. He may not look like it, but he's a really good guy."

"He looks pretty beat on that anesthesia." They both laughed at this comment, leaving Chaeyoung smiling. "You two seem great," the receptionist said at last.

"Thank you," Chaeyoung replied, still smiling, and bowed down before leaving the counter.

She stepped and crouched down to Bambam's level, who was sitting down at the waiting area. He still had gauze in his left cheek, so it came out like one side of his face was bigger than the other. He was quietly snoring and drooling, his face peaceful and adorable.

She cupped his cheeks with his palms, hoping they would awaken him. "Oppa," she quietly whispered to him as he stirred awake, "time to go home."

Bambam slowly opened his eyes and stretched his legs out, then rubbed the nape of his neck. "What? What's going on?" he asked her cluelessly.

"We're going home now," she repeated for him. "Is that okay?"

He nodded repeatedly in response, still unknowingly looking like a drunk.

Chaeyoung grabbed one of his arms and slowly made him stand up, placing herself underneath that same arm to support his weight. Again, at the same pace, she slowly walked him to the car, making sure that his steps were strudy enough to support him as well. He tripped a few times, causing her to almost lose her balance a few times. She would call out "Are you okay?", even if he only did so because he was so drowsy, to which he'd only nod.

Bambam had been meaning to get his wisdom teeth removed for a while now, but was being held back by the fact that dentists were crazy terrifying to him, which Chaeyoung only finds still enough to believe. He wouldn't budge, even after being bugged for days, but finally giving in on one condition: Chaeng should accompany him.

She wasn't even a bit reluctant. She knew she would enjoy this.

Once he was finally seated, she made her way to the driver's seat and sat herself down, first to do her own seatbelt, then to do Bambam's. He was staring at the ceiling of the car with drunk eyes and an open mouth. Chaeyoung just sat there, smirking.

She began driving on the path towards home. It was still a thirty-minute drive to their shared home, so she was anticipating an hilarious antics Bambam would come up to while he was under the influence of anesthesia. She thought she could have a bit of fun.

"Jagi?" he suddenly asked her. "Jagi?"

Chaeyoung glanced at him. "What is it, oppa?"

"What's in my mouth?" he slurred, pointing at his dry mouth.

"That's gauze," she replied, smiling.

"What's gauze?" he asked again in a very slurry tone. "Why is it in my mouth?"

"Well, you just had your wisdom teeth removed. The dentist put it in your mouth."

Bambam frowned. "My mouth tastes like butt."

Chaeyoung chuckled. "How do you know what butt tastes like?"

"My mouth tastes like it." He clicked his tongue a few times, seeming like he was tasting his mouth. Chaeyoung chuckled when he frowned again.

He then stayed silent afterwards. And by silent, she meant he just started mumbling weird things again, things that weren't even words. He stared outside the window, until he looked at Chaeyoung and decided to ask her a question again.

"Jagi?"

"Yes, oppa?"

"What's in my mouth?"

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow at him, but he only looked more clueless than before. "It's gauze, Bambam."

"What's gauze?"

Chaeyoung chuckled, but just when she was about to answer his question, he got distracted by something else. "Stop the car!"

Chaeyoung's smile quickly melted. "What? Why?" She slowly stopped at the sidewalk as Bambam continues to glance out the window.

"What's wrong, oppa?" Chaeyoung asked again.

Bambam stared at her with eyes now larger than before. "I want ice cream."

He said it simply and Chaeyoung laughed again. It didn't occur to her that he was eyeing the ice cream parlor outside. He almost gave her a heart attack, but she just laughed it off. He sat back down in his seat when he felt the vehicle start moving again, but he stared at her in disbelief.

"Jagi! Jagi, I want ice cream!" he said, tapping the dashboard repeatedly, like a drunk.

"But you can't have ice cream, jagi," Chaeyoung reasoned out as she drove. "The dentist said nothing too cold or too hot at least three hours after the operation, remember? We'll get ice cream next time."

Bambam pouted at her like a child. "But I want to eat ice cream now!"

"You can't, jagi, your mouth will ache."

"But I don't want to eat ice cream next time! I want to eat it now!" He started tapping the dashboard more aggressively. "Chaeyoung-ie!"

"Ya, stop it," she scolded him. "I'm sorry we can't eat ice cream now, Bambam, but we need to follow the dentist's orders."

He rolled his eyes at her. "I'm mad at you." He faced the other direction and crossed his arms. Chaeyoung should've been mad at how impossible he was being, but she knew he was like that because he was still whizzed up because of the anesthesia, and it only made her laugh.

A few moments later, Chaeyoung would catch him stealing quick glances of her as she drove. She smiled at this, finding him completely adorable. Then, seconds later, he slowly takes one of her hands into his and kisses it. Chaeyoung raises an eyebrow at this; she was confused.

"What are you doing?" she asked him.

"I missed you, jagi," he said softly, still clutching her hand.

"Bam, it's literally been five minutes since I last talked to you." He stared at her with drunk eyes, and she just decided to give in and play along. "Alright, I missed you, too."

"Are you mad at me?"

Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow again. "What?"

"You scolded me earlier. You're mad at me."

She smiled. "Well, I thought you were mad at me, Bambam."

Bambam's drunken eyes enlarged. "No, no, no! I wouldn't! You're my jagi, I could never be mad at you!" he said, as if he hadn't glared at her moments ago.

"That's sweet, jagi." Chaeyoung found herself smiling yet again.

Bambam smiled as well. "I love y-" He was cut short by his seatbelt, who held him back to his seat. He kept trying to lean in to kiss her, but he would always be pulled back by his seatbelt.

Chaeyoung started laughing, since it didn't seem to occur to him that he was wearing a seatbelt, and he couldn't figure out why he couldn't lean in closer to her.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Chaeyoung said, laughing. "I love you, too."

"But I want to kiss you," he said, pouting. "I want to kiss my jagi."

And he sulked, because he couldn't kiss her, and Chaeyoung kept driving while assuring him that it was alright.

Moments later, the car fell silent again. Bambam's whines fell silent, and Chaeyoung glanced over to him, and smiled. He was fast asleep, again.

"I love you," he whispered in his sleep, and Chaeyoung smiled again.

She sighed. She knew that once he woke up, he'd revert to his normal self, but it was nice to know that even if he was under the influence of a medical drug, he still loved her the same way he did every day.
