"Maya no I'm not downloading tinder" madeline grabbed her phone off her best friend as they sat on her bed having a 'high school' sleepover.

In other words the now twenty two year old girls would eat trashy foods and watch cheesy rom coms or dance around too early 2000's music just like they used too every friday night in high school.

Madeline and Maya met each other on the first day as secondary school. Maya and her clicked after when they was both asked about who they looked up too they both said Selena Gomez. Every one in school used too call them M&M and they kept that nickname in sixth form as well.

When they both turned eighteen they decided too take their gap year together and travel around Australia. This made the girls become better friends than they already was. When the gap year came to a close Maya got an internship as a dietitian at Tottenham Hotspur football club, the internship eventually turned into a full time job and at the age of twenty two she was the dietitian for the first team at the two girls childhood football club.

Maddie on the other hand decided to go to uni and study family law. It was something she enjoyed and she was good at arguing. If you knew maddie you would know that she is the most stubborn person that you would ever meet. Hence why she didn't want to download tinder she believed that she didn't need a boy too make her happy.

"Come on madeline it will be fun I've never seen you go on a date or have a boyfriend" her best friend bugged as she ate some of the chocolate covered popcorn ironic to what she would tell the boys about eating healthily. "Fine" she eventually gave into her best friend as she switched the playlists from '2000's pop' to 'dinsey channel all the best tunes' in an attempt to distract herself from what she was about to do.

The two girls had been scrolling through tinder for about twenty minutes and Madeline hadn't found anyone she liked the look of. In her opinion doing this was pointless. Who would find the love of their life on a dating app, the things that ruin so many people's confidence causing them too think the only way they will end up with someone is if they look like a supermodel.

"He's decent I like him swipe right" Maddie said slightly shocked that she saw someone she actually liked. The boy had chocolatey brown eyes with a head of hair to match, he had freckles that sat on his face effortlessly,thick eyebrows and a bright smile dimples either side of his smile. Much to maddies dislike maya swiped left. "Maya what did you do that for hes the only boy I actually like" she grabbed her phone from her best friend trying to find a way to go back.

"Well his name isn't darren he's a catfish" Maya told her best friend while grabbing her own phone scrolling through instagram. "How would you know that?" Maddie asked confused. "He plays for spurs it's Harry winks" Maya told her best friend. "Ohhh that makes sense" Maddie cooed before lying next to her best friend.

"If you find him fit I can set you up?" Maya suggested. "No no no please don't Maya" she pleaded with her best friend. "Fine fine I won't" she told her best friend.

Maya had always been the loud one. All the way through school the two girls were popular but Maya was always loud. She was also extremely laid back. This is why the two girls got along so well. Maya would balance out Maddie's shyness and all her over thinking and Maddie would make sure that maya actually think through her decisions. 

It was the next day and Madeline was at work. She worked at Greggs. Obviously it wasn't ideal and she didn't really have a passion for it however it helped her earn a bit of money whilst she was at uni. "Next please" she said half heartedly completely exhausted from being on her shift for hours now. 

"Hey can I get some cakes" a boy spoke when maddie looked up she saw the boy from tinder. He was even more perfect in person and she was nervous never had she had to speak to anyone as attractive as him in her life. He stood their in his training tracksuit and hair slightly messy with his phone in his hand. "Hmm yeah sure do you know what type?" She asked him as just asking for 'cakes' in a Greggs was incredibly vague.

"Just something I can take back for my family really" he laughed slightly. When Harry saw Maddie for the first time he thought she was gorgeous. He made sure to let an old lady in front of him just so he would get served by her. He was captivated she was beautiful. She had blonde hair that he couldn't really see as it was in a hair net and piercing blue eyes.

"How about donuts are they okay?" She asked him showing him a packet of four donuts. "Yeah that's perfect thank you" he said taking the four donuts. "Also I'm just going to tell you this sounds really weird but someone on tinder somehow is using your pictures" she told the man who scrunched his eyebrows and laughed in response.

"What I really want to know is if you swiped left or right" he laughed slightly causing maddie to blush. "Left" she said while blushing. Little did Harry know it was because her best friend informed her it was a catfish profile. But he was disappointed he didn't know why he thought he had a chance with such a beautiful girl but all his confidence he did had was gone now. "Here's the money" he passed her a £5 note. "Their only two pound so do you have the change?" She asked him. "Nah and keep the change as a tip I need to get going" he said before running out the shop embarrassed.

As soon as maddie got off her shift she checked her phone to see that her best friend had already text her about the same situation she was about to text Maya about.

so here is the first chapter of fate. hope you like it...

also a little question for the one or two people who actually enjoy listening to what i as a person have to say would you like a book where i tell embarrassing stories/ a bit of a diary book from me. this sounds slightly big headed but i have interesting stories and a lot of opinions so let me know under here if that's something you would actually read. (obviously inspired by all the people who do spam and rant books)

also i have a huge question for you all
what's your favourite chocolate?
mine is one a lot of people don't like you know Cadbury marvellous creation bars,the one with popping candy and smarties 😍😍😍 all time favourite

also if i see any bounty or snickers or whole nut i will be very disappointed
