I looked over at Aidan again. He looked at me, his eyes telling no lie. He knew, he knew there was danger lurking about. I was about to tell my parents, when the windows started to shake. The whole house seemed to be shaking. My mom and dad stopped singing and looked around nervously.

"Eli-"

That's all my dad got out when one of the windows shattered suddenly.

A long leg stepped through the window. Then another, until a hideous creature emerged from the window. The creature had a grasshopper for it's head, mandibles and antennas sticking out of it. Ears stuck up out of it, and it had insect hands. It looked exactly like a kangaroo, but with a rat tail and features from a bug. My parents fell to the floor in shock. I stared at it in fright, unable to move. 

RRRR AAAA AAAA. It hopped towards me, raising its buggish hand. I can't move, I closed my eyes, thinking that all of this was just a silly nightmare. Aidan jumped to action pushing me away. I snapped out of my trance and watched as Aidan took on the creature. He had his nine tails again and he was hissing and biting the monster. 

The grasshopper thing kicked him aside. Rrrrrraaaaaa It pinched Aidan with it's mandibles. Aidan yelped and scratched the grasshopper thing. Then, he grabbed it's tail and chomped down on it as hard as he could.

The creature howled in pain, then with its tail threw Aidan aside. Aidan stood his ground then twirled his tail together sending great balls of fire. It took multiple shots, but finally the grasshopper thing was defeated. It enveloped itself with gas, and was gone.

Aidan stood there panting, and dropped to the floor. My parents slowly stood up, shock still showing on their faces. Then my dad spoke first.

"Elita! WHAT HAPPENED!? What WAS that!? Are you okay!?" He and my mom ran to me, checking if I was hurt. When they saw I wasn't they relaxed.

"Mom...I'm fine, it's my fox you should be worried about."

Aidan still stood, laying on the ground. My mom and dad rushed to his side. I followed right behind them. They checked him and found out that he had just fainted.

 
"He'll be ok, for now you have to explain yourself Elita!" my dad said.

I stood there blank, not having any idea of what to say. I started with, "Well, uh, you see....um"

They stood there waiting for me to explain. I took a deep breath and I started to explain everything, from the beginning to the end. When I was finally done, my parents just looked at me dumbfounded.

"My-my you've been dreaming too much, Elita!" My Dad finally said. I was confused, how could he not believe me?! Did he not just see that creature in front of him!?

"Dad, look! I am not making up stories! You saw it right in front of you! Don't you believe me?!" I wailed.

"Sweetie, we cannot believe something that is not really true..." My mom replied.

"Wo-wo-!" Whatever I was about to say was never finished, because of what I saw. A big puff of gas appeared, covering the whole entire room. We all started to cough. When the gas finally disappeared there standing amongst it was another Pure Spirit!

"HELLO THERE!" It shouted. I jumped and so did my parents. 

"Your another Pure Spirit!" I said. 

"Yes I am! But not the same one that you think!" 

"So there's a different Pure Spirit each time I meet them?"

"Ho-ho! Correct! But those other ones are lame! Don't mind them!" he said.

My parents stared in amazement at the Pure Spirit. "Why hello Elita's parents! You have such a pretty and nice daughter!" He said. 

I sat there baffled at his compliment. 

"W-why thank you" They said. "See? What did I tell you? Things like these are real!" I squealed.

 Then I remembered about Aidan and how he was still unconscious. I went to check up on him. He looked so peaceful. I shook him awake. Aidan slowly opened his eyes. He coughed. "Elita...." He said weakly. "You're okay Aidan... you're okay." I said to him, hugging his warm fluffy fur. 

He carefully got up and shook his fur. I told him what happened and that he had won. He smiled happily. Soon, he got his old mojo back and went up to my parents. There, the Pure Spirit was explaining something to my parents, and how beings like him were real. 

Then, he started to explain about me... how I was able to talk to animals and understand them.

 "I can really do that?" I said, astonished.

The Pure Spirit looked over to me, realizing that I was there. "Oh! I'm sorry young'n I forgot you were there! Haha! Yes... yes you really can." 

Wow, I thought to myself, that's amazing. Aidan came next to me and turned into his human form.

My parents got so startled by this.

"It's alright, my name's Aidan. I was the one who fought off that creature and saved Elita from the danger. Oh, and yeah I was the fox, you don't have to take care of me. I'm the caretaker of myself and a shapeshifter!" He said laughing. 

"Oh, now that's a surprise! Thank you ever so much for saving my daughter. Nice to meet you!" My dad exclaimed. 

"You seem very young!" My mom blurted. She covered her mouth, thinking that was silly to say.

 "No, it's fine, I am young. I'm 19 years old." he said with a lopsided grin. 

"Oh my! Well.. I never thought all this mythological stuff actually existed. I thought they were myths!" My mom said.

 "Oh but it is! You see it right in front of you!", said Aidan. Both my parents laughed. 

"Now that that's taken care of! I must be off! See you all later, I hope?" Said the Pure Spirit.

 Everyone including myself nodded their heads. "Alright then! Good-bye and good-luck!" 

With that he vanished into thin air.
